I just cannot beat The Cleric Beast. I get him down to like 2/3, but that's it. Any tips!? And I'm afraid to use blood vials since if I use them up and die I have to farm.

You can farm blood stones and twin bloodstones by
going to the Hypogean Gaol teleport and killing the 2 enemies with bags. Not bad for farming echos either. You can fight them on the stairs and all you gotta do it wait for their attack, then attack them, repeat

If you can get down the parry/riposte timing (shooting him in the face) that helps a lot

Also, molotovs and oil will take his health down quick. Other than that stay behind him as much as possible

How many blood echoes does helping someone out against a boss give you? I definitely need to level up after Ive spent all my souls on a new weapon, armor set and upgrading my sword. I'm still at 21 and the mentioned above cost like 72k echoes lol. And the boss I'm tackling is an ass.

I think you get half of what the boss would normally drop. So the third or fourth boss (depending on your order) will probably give you about 10kish a pop.

Half of what one normally gives you. It varies from boss to boss but it always half. I just helped with Vicar Amelia and I got around 7500.

After Father G,
Am I going in the right direction if I am stuck at a guy with a gattling gun? Went to a big locked gate that needed and emblem and wandered around here. Kinda stuck now though

Am I crazy or was there a old woman in central Yarnham? I swear I searched everywher but can't find her window/door anymore. Trying not to miss out on any side quests and its really bugging me.

Father G fight is pretty easy once you find the right strategy. Beat him on the second try.

Molotovs are pretty powerful in this game lol.

Keep your COOL

Get in CLOSE and stay glued behind him. The worst place to be is in front of this guy since thats where all his high damage attacks go. PLus he has a long reach so even if you run away he can snag ya

Stay close and on the offensive and maintain position behind him . He has attacks that hit behind him but they are alot weaker so you have time to recover and heal and then get right back on him

Jokes about Castlevania aside, it really is a fantastic weapon that is incredibly versatile. The sharpened cane form of the weapon is perfect for quick, high damage strikes against single opponents that are close, and the whip form is amazing for crowd control and striking multiple enemies at once, as well as being able to hit more powerful enemies from a safe(er) distance, while still doing high damage. The forward+R2 jump whip attack does a lot of damage, it's just awesome. Can't wait to get a fire gem for this thing. I've got it upgraded to +4 with some Phys Attk and Charge Attk buffs along with health regen.

It only gets better. I've got it slotted with full phys attack gems and its up to +10. It absolutely destroys everything in its path. Can't wait to bring it into NG+.

I got greedy against v
icar
:( I needed 1 or 2 more hits and tried attacking instead of backing up and healing.

I hear you.
I died to the gatling gun guy when he was at literally 1 pixel HP, even a pebble would kill him.
But I said fuck it, we will die together...but he dodged and used his gun instead.
I squeezed my controller so hard with internal rage building up on my face.

There is. She is part of a quest where you...

make it to a cathedral and talk to a creature/person/thing who tells you that this is a "safe place" for people. That was what she was looking for so go back and tell her about it and she'll show up there from now on. I believe it's near the bridge where that brick troll rolled the ball of fire, but not certain

Join Team Axe. You know you want to.

Seriously though, the axe is a great all purpose weapon. Strong single blow attacks, and it's charged attack is a pretty devastating aoe attack that'll multi hit even a single target. Great knockback/stagger also.
Is that a starting weapon or do you buy it?

Would I, theoretically, be able to play through the whole game with my buddy? Or would it boot him out after We kill a boss for example. Is it obtuse like That?

I think so.

I imagine it works just like Dark Souls EXCEPT for the Challice Dungeons. Wait thats basically the same too...

If you parry his attacks with the gun twice and do the followup attack he seems to become blind, and a lot easier to avoid

Need some advice for gatling dude.

Kirkhammer and cleaver is what In rolling with

Killing him? Hint: THIS IS SPARTA!

Holy shit. For the first time in the game, I've completely run through my entire stock of Blood Vials. Thanks
Martyr Logarius.

I haven't fought him yet by myself, but I helped a guy beat him... or so I thought. I died almost immediately after I killed him. Then the host looked like he did some suicide thing and died. I'm confused as to what happened.

Poison my friend. Poison :(

Pretty sure he does. He doesn't leave a drop though, you just absorb them.

well I didnt get any, or he gives fuck all. I had 4300 after killing him, and thats on my 5th of 6th try, meaning I was getting about 800 each run to him via the lift.

I beat Father G first attempt, been 3-4 hours on BSB. I get it down to 50% with parry/riposte no problem, but I cant handle it once it enrages and it always seems to grab and bite me. I think I've been using the antidotes incorrectly as well.

Maybe I was just lucky then :p

I had it down to 10% health with 2 health potion and no poison while being poisoned. Realizing how quick you lose health with poison I just went at it and killed it. I was surprised at actually finishing it, but I believe it was my 5th try
