Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

Didn't play for too long yet so I'm way behind but I beat the 1st boss on my first try. It really wasn't close. I was using cane and it was stupid slow so mid fight i switched to axe and just buried him.

I like the mobility of the cane but the boss would take way too long. I hope my decision to primary the skill stat doesn't hurt me.

I played all of the previous Souls games without a shield though and really light armor so this combat style is similar.

I beat the first two bosses. Prey Slaughtered is about as satisfying as games get. Working on the boss in Old Yharnam now, he's a toughie.

I fucking love this game, it's a shame I won't get to play much more until Monday.

Well...OT2 already huh? Damn.

Almost time to go back into Old Yharnam for me (Pray for my poor soul >.<).
Just waiting for my food to be done so I can quickly eat and get to playing.

I'm new to souls games so Bloodborne is kicking my ass. I'm enjoying every last second, I just beat the second boss. The satisfaction from advancing in this game is unmatched.

I will say this. I was playing Bloodborne along side friends (in PS voice chat) and it's only the second day, I can say with pure confidence this is a Game of the Year contender for me.

This is a big deal. I haven't had a Sony exclusive game on my list of Game of the Year contenders since the PS2 era. It's primarily been Nintendo or PC games. Sony and From Software, great job! Can't wait to see what you make next! :)

For all newbies having trouble with wolves, cleric beasts, or crazy old hobos, use these.

PRAISE THE UMBASA

Finally got past
all the trash mobs to encounter giant werewolves on the bridge, where I got brutalized in a corner.
Are there any lanterns around that area? I'm still using the one into the entrance to Old Yarnham and the idea of having to go through all of that again is killing me unless I just run.

can i throw one at the old man in a wheelchair? :O

BTW, i think my Gehrmann disappeared - that's not because I killed a fellow wheelchair hobo is it.....?

I'm about 25 hours in, 7 bosses down. Doing some backtracking and further exploring before proceeding with the 3rd arch stone.

This game is fucking amazing

Only found one latern in that first stage, one with two paths, didnt see any knew ones before the first boss. is there any closer ones?

God fucking damnit
Eileen died fighting the Hunter at Gascoigne's lamp, mainly because he killed me and I had to run back. He had about 2 hits of health left and she died. I'm mad

OT2 already? But I was barely able to post in OT1.

Loving Bloodborne so far! It took a while to "unlearn" the Souls games in order to play it properly, but I'm finally feeling as though I'm over that hump and can enjoy the game on its own merits. Two things I absolutely adore so far:

-The Saw Spear in both its forms has one of my favorite move sets in the entire series thus far.

-Those dudes in white masks you encounter immediately following the
Father
boss fight are visually one of my favorite enemy designs ever!

I may got spoiled: endboss spoiler. Can anyone confirm if this is real ?

Is Gehrman the last boss ? please say no..
I fucking hate the internet sometimes.

I asked in the other thread, but:

Is there a convenient way to get Insight in the game?

I managed to find some Madman Skulls early and got more after beating Boss 1 and 2, but is there some other way I don't know about to retrieve these?

I'm hovering at 8 and really want 10. :/
Unless I'm mistaken, once I get 10
a new merchant appears in the Dream and sells something that can allow me to help other players- and I get insight by doing that, yes?

So how is everyone allocating stats so far? Between my multiple DeS/DS playthroughs, my favorite was the dexterity build.

With Souls, attempting to balance a character usually hurt more than it helped. I chose lone survivor and have been putting most of my echoes thus far into leveling up my endurance.

I'm starting to struggle as to where to go from there though. Not sure if I want to keep focusing on endurance or start leveling up arcane or bloodtinge.

*looks at op*...I get it some of you played dark souls.

Seriously does praise "anything" actually show up in any form in the game?

Yea right down the bridge....You have to fight the Cleric beast though

Just under 5 hours until my digital copy unlocks and I can start playing. Amazon shipped my CE today, too, which I kind of wish I'd cancelled. Oh well.
