I have a question about a certain mob that carries a sack near Cathedral Ward

So I was fighting the one right outside from the Cathedral ward lamp but after one of the big trench coat guys with the lamp came to the party and I ended up dying to the sacky. To a very surprising and cool twist it seem like it end up taking me prisoner in some cell. The main issue is I found a new lamp in this place and I went back to the hunters dream and the location doesn't seem to show up on the list. I even tried dying again the same way but nothing happened that time. Any tips on what I'm missing here?

Beyond pissed. Managed to stockpile 8 Vials and feeling pretty good before Cleric. Decide to ring my bell ad get some help. Nobody comes the game takes my lone Insight. I'm already pissed. Get in there and whack on Cleric until about half health. Managed to not only use all of my vials, I also find out tat sticking behind him is a terrible idea because he likes to swipe me from behind which kills me. I'm seriously considering rerolling a Soldier using a Saw Cleaver. Threaded Cane is a piece of shit that does no damage and Cleric Beast can suck my dick from now until next year.

FFFFFUUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKK

Stay close/behind him and outside of rage mode, his attacks are incredibly easy to avoid. Even in rage mode, all you need to do is keep your distance save for when he does that lunge attack.

The cane is fantastic in that fight since whip form lets me hit him mostly outside of the poison range, got poisoned like twice

I've just hunted Blood Starved Beast and I've bought Ludwig's Holy Blade. Problem is, I need 2 more skill and 1 more strength to use it :'( I'm so desperate to try it out!

Does anyone know a good farming spot that I could use at this point? All the ones I found from Googling seem to be further into the game.

He's protecting the beasts in the area so if you're planning on not aggroing him, do what I mentioned in my previous post and don't fight back. There's a reason why he placed that note on the door. He even tells you to go hunt above and not there.

turn him friendly. I personally tried the teleporting from BSB's lantern and it didn't work for me, but when I did it from Darkbeast's it did. I may have messed up with the armor though so IDK. I know that when I came from Darkbeast's I had the armor on before I ported there, and forget how I did it from the other one. Main thing is to just use the shortcut to get up right under him and climb up the tower. He can never see you before you get to the top for it to work I think. That time I mean, since you will still have to deal with him shooting at you the entire time you go down to BSB the first time.

I do hope it is patched to only take insight once you successfully connect and not to start the search. What it is now is just silly.

If you use the gem, you get an item. If you give it back, the girl knows her parents are gone and dies of sadness. If you say nothing, you can send her to a safe house...which may or may not be safe.

I do wonder if you get screwed if they die before getting summoned. Last night I got the message I was being symmoned, but also got killed by a mob and just respawned. Some poor schmuck probably lost his Insight.

That area is intended to be done much later in the game, you can go back to previous areas and find other routes.

I'm not 100% sure how far away you are, but there's an area soon where certain (easy when stunning) enemies give you 2500 souls per kill.

Just grind there for a short while.

I was surprised that a couple of people summoned me, I helped them beat the 2 big black wolves on the bridge before cleric beast, and then they banished me right afer...I'm guessing they don't grasp how hard it is to come by insight early on. Or maybe that summoning costs it.
