You buy npc armour and enchantment items like fire paper.

Yeah, I just found the NPC that sells the armors and items for insight, and I'm about 3/4th of the way through the game...

The game probably would have been quite a bit easier had I known this.

Anyone else try using the
music box
against Paul Gascoigne? It helps but I still couldn't beat him. Will go again tomorrow!

I beat him on my fourth try, didn't even know about the music box. Spamming powered up long reach swipes while he's stuck behind a pile of gravestones (the ones immediately to the right) is an easy way to drag him down into beast mode. I also planned to get as many attacks in during the transformation as I could, ran toward the giant stone pillar in the middle and kept circling around it waiting for an opening. He has a much harder time maneuvering around the giant unbreakable pillar, and it's a lot easier to just pace yourself in circles around it then running around randomly getting smashed into graves and barrels and etc.

I agree, the cost/reward just isn't there. I fear I am going to drop BB like a bad habit once I complete the main campaign.

The World Design and Art Direction may be top notch and best in the series, but the quality-of-life systems are a regression and introduce problems that were already solved in previous games.

Yup - it's weird because I didn't even notice until I ran out of vials. Just played about 20 hours never running across this problem but, the moment it hit, holy hell that's annoying as shit. Having to farm vials/echoes in order to buy them is just unnecessary. The souls' games were always awesome in that you never had to farm or grind. However, being without health potions for a boss? That would force that need for a lot of players. It's a huge regression.

So, that tower in the cathedral district where you can go up and find a locked door, or down - I have a question about the latter.

I went to the bottom early on, got killed and locked up in some kind of prison. Now I'm a high enough level to kill everything down there with ease. But, what's the point? Is there anything worthwhile down here? Or just this rumpled Yarnham hat and clothes? lol

WOOHOO, thanks Famicom and Burger. That was fun

I almost died from that grab but I quickly used antidote and healed, lol. I saved the clip.

Killed the 2nd boss after about 8 or 9 tries. Music box helped. Really enjoying my first serious try at a "souls" game.

Is the Father G armor good to buy?

Damnit, this armor is really good... but I'm not the biggest fan of it's looks.

Still rocking the cane of course

Where?

Is there a spot where I can farm antidote? I'm preparing for BSB.

Some mobs on the way to the tu
rret guy
drop them i think, but its easier to farm the big wolves for 1k blood each on the way to bsb on the shortcut path, i think there are ~5 wolves in the area for a quick 5k souls

Holy shit.

Why don't people post about the F. Woods boss?

I was chanting "oh my god" to myself over and over by the time it was over. That is the most terrified a Souls boss has ever made me.

I only defeat the first two bosses so far and I want to help other people get past them. PM me the password too if you want to have a more company in your party :)

BTW, it's worth getting your Arcane up to at least 15 after the 5th boss or so if for nothing else, the nice
arcane buff gadget that is applied to weapons for two bullets.

Papa guacamole is kicking my ass so bad

I got him on my first try. He had me on the ropes a few times, but I waited for openings between his combos to attack. If you need to back off for healing, try to get some tombstones between you to slow him down. And when he transforms, do the same. Except it helps even more if you lock on and keep a tree between you as much as possible until you move in to attack. He'll usually get around it by the end of his longer combos, but it's easier to dodge a few attacks than that long-ass combo he does. Be patient and pick your openings carefully. I started with 20 healing potions and was down to 6 when I killed him.
