Possible end of game spoilers:

I'm about to fight the guy on top of the castle. Martyr something
Is this the end?

Whats a nice easy to get gun im up to old Yharnam

Take it slow, hide behind things, then once you get close to his tower run up the ladder and shoot him with your gun to make him fall off. Do not engage because he is pretty hard.

quick questions guys, are invasions always enabled while you are in Online mode? Can you turn off invasions completely? I'm not too keen on the whole invasion concept

You can only get invaded if you use your summoning bell to call for help, but I wouldnt really worry about it. I have yet to get invaded. You can play in offline mode but that makes the game worse IMO.

So I'm passed BsB and around level 30. I can't seem to make any useful progress. Boss 4
priestess that turns into a giant mummy dog
seems like too much of a jump for me though (destroys me in seconds and I barely do any damage) What am I missing?

The sets they sell too are freaking crazy for damage reduction. Wish I'd known about them sooner

By any chance any of them is good for the third boss? I would rather go in prepared

i'll ask again

what are the rules for coop? how is loot/blood echoes share? and if the helper dies, does he lose the blood echoes? and if so would he just go back to the same place like normal to get them

Might want to read this
I don't know where you are, but there are two final optional bosses in the game. The first is Gehrman, the First Hunter, which you fight by refusing him at the end. The second is fought right afterwards if you had collected 3 One Third Umbilical Cord (probably?). The jury is still out on that one to a degree.

Wow. That third boss. I think it's the only enemy in a game that's almost made me physically ill to look at.

I guess Miyazaki got over his preference for even the most frightening enemies to still have some amount of grace to them?

(I love it though.)

Stay on her ass, right behind her, when you see shes gonna make a move dodge, but never get far from her. If you stay at ranged and try to move in you will get rekt. Its a VERY easy fight when you realize the mechanics.

For anyone wondering about other ways of "taking care" of
Gyula, a.k.a. the minigun guy
, I can confirm that
you can sneak up behind him from the Church of the Good Chalice checkpoint and get to where he's at. He'll approach you as a friendly and you can talk with him to get his emblem and his gesture if you tell him you'll spare the beasts. You don't need the armor set that normally makes him not attack you, either. I accidentally engaged the mobs in the church underneath, so I think he's probably going to stay pissed off, but hey, I didn't actually have to kill him!

Not sure what's available at that point. Just highlight each piece and look at the Poison/Frenzy resistances to the right. I just brought antidotes
but it's hard to use them if you aren't running behind pillars due to how slow they are to use.

Unlocked the shortcut in Forbidden Woods and going through that felt kinda long.

Getting kind of bored of the game now though. I really love the art and the world From Software crafted here, but I mostly just want to go fight the cool bosses now and skip everything in between. I like exploring and going through the well designed levels, but besides the hunter type enemies regular enemy encounters aren't that interesting and it makes going through these levels a drag. Either I one shot/two shot the enemy before they even get to do anything or I bait them into attacking and I just punish the endlag with a few R2 strikes and kill them. I just wish there was a little more to them. :x

Maybe I'll come back to it again later. Just feels like I'm going through the motions everytime I get to a new place.

Forbidden woods was definitely way too long.

Two questions, still very new to all of this:

1) Is there a way to upgrade the health potions ala Dark Souls 2?

2) Is there a way to check play time?
I think vials restore % life, so no upgrades.

i'll ask again

Helper doesn't lose echoes upon death IIRC.

Yharnam is a really awesome looking area but the different parts of it mostly look exactly the same. And since it's such a large area it kinda wears thin after a while. How does the rest of the game compare? Are the environments more diverse and are there a lot of different looking ones? Or is it only 4 different environments (the four awakening headstones)?

Also, does the game maintain its dark European horror throughout or does it get more fantastical as it goes along? I'm hoping for some Lovecraftian stuff as the game progresses.

And if anyone's up for sating my curiosity further:

There are very few visible NPCs early on... does this change as the game progresses? And are there any NPC shopkeepers or do you always buy from the boring Messenger Baths?

Prepare your body for some of the shit later cuz even the basic enemies are getting fucked up.

Does the pimp cane get better as you level up? Everyone was hyping it and I picked it so now its Pimp Cane + 2...not sure if I should buy the KirkHammer thing or boost a Saw Claver I found.

BTW is the KirkHammer a 2 in 1 weapon? Why is the picture and info on it mention a sword and hammer?

Yeah, you can equip and unequip different ones into your weapon.

Cool now I need to go find some

The person being summoned gets a certain amount of blood echos for helping defeat the boss, if they die they lose nothing and are sent back to their world in the same placed they rang their summoning bell.

Ok, I'm about to square off with BSB. I heard the third phase is pretty hard since there is poison all around him. How should I deal with that?

It changes. Sometimes it changes so much that it morphs into some of the better survival horror games as far as atmosphere. There are a few Lovecraftian enemies, but not so much in regards to the terrain or architecture.

I don't know about regular enemies, but helpers receive half of the normal amount of echoes a boss drops (summoner receives normal amount).

Helpers don't lose anything for dying so it's a good way to gather echoes safely.

Had Rom down with maybe 2-3 hits left and no adds..........and I fucking died to his aoe....................................fuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Thank you. Did you use target lock?

GOD DAMMIT. This didnt work either. Is it because I have 51 Insight?!?! WHY IS THIS FIGHT SO FUCKING HARD.

Get a semi-fast hitting weapon. I have all of mine at +5 so I switched to Stake Pike and just ran around til there's a small opening. Hit twice and ran back out. This is the
Rom
boss right?

No sharing, everyone gets their own stuff. If the helper dies, he doenst lose anything, but if the host dies he loses his shit like normal gameplay.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKK YESSS!

it was THERE THANK FUCKING EVERYTHING YESSSSSS

After hearing about that stupid game breaking glitch I was hit with dread something awful.. I was like put the one thing in the game to make me hate this game...( im not one to make another character ever... even if I play this game 5 playthroughs its going to be my first character... I post this from the room with the key.. I ran through the snake forest and first tried the three stooges. ran to the room with the key and thankfully it was there... soo fucking satisfying. From really does need more patches STAT... really feel bad for the peps that go shit on by this though :(

Seen a lot of rumors of this and tested to test myself.

With 14 and 27 insight there was a noticeable difference in the two monsters i tested in Cathedral Ward.

Video below shows the difference.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cKEM7NuyQw

Lantern guy gained eyeballs on his lantern and he now casts a ranged Spell.

Sycthe guy gains an enchantment on his Scythe that burns you.

Holy crap is this really the effects of high insight? I've got like 40 insight o.o

Boy you are going to get fucked up then if that's too much for. I have to hold back my manic laughter.
