Has anyone else had problems getting friends to join their game using a shared password? We tried for thirty minutes the other night to no avail.

- All in the same area
- I rang the Beckoning Bell
- They rang their mini bells
- Same password
- Local

Nothing.

What I've found works pretty consistently is if you're in about the same physical location, and if there's no response after a minute if the person being summoned closes their app and goes back into the game and rings their bell again with the summoner not doing anything. It's worked every time*.

*Sometimes takes multiple close apps.

You know how to unsettle me?

Put enemies making loud shrieking noises in the game. They get me everytime. and the crow. The crows, man...

Terrifying game at times.

Heh just going into a different area and that music is enough, always expecting something to jump out of a corner.

Uhm so it seems I do have to fight this guy then... I'm so scared, lol. I have some 3600 blood echoes which are probably nothing for you guys but still feels like so much for me... I don't wanna die! :(

Mhm, is the vendor already available at the Hunter's Dream? You should buy the Hunter gear with that amount of blood echoes.

Yeah unless you are still in the first area it doesnt make much sense to farm vials anymore

Do some Co op or farm some echoes and buy supplies instead.

Yeah this too

It just sucks for the host since he uses up his insight. SO yeah make sure the host has his settings in order (Worldwide and Password) before he pops the insight.

For the Machine gun guy in Old Y, anyone befriended him then just back stabbed him? I plan on doing that. . .fuck him.

you can befriend him?

How the fuck

i think it is a very narrow timing.

Well I'm not so sure it's as simple as that. There are attacks, such as the charge move of the big guys holdings rocks, that have a very wide timing window. You can shoot them for the entire duration of their run animation and it will stagger them. But there are other attacks that seem to either have a super-narrow timing window or no window at all. I'm just trying to figure it if there indeed are some attacks that do not open the monster to being staggered.

Can someone explain what stats actually go up when you level up? Like in Destiny, you get a percentage advantage over enemies when you level up. Same case in this game?
You can see what stats increase what on the souls exchange menu I believe. If I understand your question. Go in and play around with each stat and see what increases what on the right screen.

So, everyone... It's safe to assume that encumbrance is not an issue in this game, and that endurance is still the most important stat?

After 40, endurance is trash-tier (doesn't give you a single stam). But yes, up until then, it's godtier.

so someone linked me a guide to get the
greatsword
yesterday and I lost it, I believe now that I killed BSB and Amelia I can get it?

Boss fights are were it becomes an issue
Run out of materials
Got back to dream
Go to new area to farm a little
Go back to dream
Go back to boss area
Try again
Another example of why I think getting rid of estus was the worst decision they made for this game haha

Also, is there a worse feeling than accidentally picking the wrong location out of the Dream?

Question about 2nd boss:
When Father G goes monster mode I am supposed to use the tiny music box? I tried using it but my experience was it did not do anything. What's wrong? Too little time to activate? I tried to get some distance but it did not help.

Holy fucking shit someone tell me how to get out of the
prison area.

I got killed by one of those bag things and everything just destroys me here. I accidently found a boss too, pearl something.

safe to pop the
pendant that Amelia dropped
or do you need it for something?

i guess most attacks does have that window but human response time is not good enough to reliably hit that. So i usually stick to their first attack during a combo where i can predict.

Just got it. In first area after prologue. Got killed by 2 guys scythes clipping through the wall as I walked down the path to the group at the bonfire. This crap still happens!?

The framerate is a big disappointment. Not sure what's so taxing from the graphics on display.

What lvl are you now?

I just read GAF during the load times.
Still a lowly level 14 after about 4 hrs of play Lol Loving the atmosphere so much that I'm taking things slow and getting to know all my surroundings.

Staying away from guides and visual spoilers mostly. I've just read a couple bits and pieces of things here but I'm treading the thread softly right now.
Does anyone else get NAT errors not allowing party voice chat even though it works fine for other games like Destiny and TLOU?
This happens often. Just back out and rejoin party. In extreme cases, the people seeing the NAT error has to restart the PS4. We occasionally have a guy that has that problem. Not sure why it happens but seems like that has worked for us.

Look for a spiral staircase going up near the cells and stuff to find a lamp. It's worth going outside and running past the enemies towards one end since you can find a weapon and some armor

Does this game have actual suits of metal armor, or is it all just victorian clothing? (Don't have the game, won't have it for a while, don't want to dig through pages and see possible spoilers).

Yes the music box briefly stuns Father G in beast form. The beast form is most easily dealt with by parry + riposte. Stay away from the beast form strong attack it can basically kill you quickly from full health.

Yoshi-senpai! I need help. My stats are:

Vitality - 14
Endurance - 15
Strength - 11
Skill - 11
Bloodtinge - 7
Arcane - 7

Should I just be pumping Endurance as much as possible, or splitting it between Skill for my Cane?

I don't see my post twice already strange

How do u assign an item to the down arrow button ?

Thanks

So I get my ass handed to me by Father G like 15 times but finally beat him alone. I'm doing lots of exploring in
Cathedral Ward
and expect to find
Vicar Amelia
as I had heard that was the "next" boss that was really hard. Instead I stumbled onto the turf of the
Blood starved beast
and completely annihilated it on my first attempt, even though I was poisoned the entire battle, having to use blood vials to keep my health from going down because my antidotes were not on quick select.

Did anyone else find this boss super easy? Thing was a cakewalk compared to Father G.

I got to this area at the bottom of a huge well and this white alien looking thing sucked out my brains. Aside from that though, I couldn't really find anything there. The entire area seems like a dead end. Did i miss something?

There's a different way out if you went to he left at first.
