Why did they take Estus out or not make an equivalent? It was cool in the first area since health items were practically a guaranteed drop from the hammer guys. Now I gotta either use my souls to buy some or go back there, farm some and then return to my business.

Between the load times and that, going after a boss that's busting your chops is needlessly tedious.

It's really a non issue. In the beginning it seems like it will be... but now I'm swimming in the stuff. Anyone who played Demon Souls shouldn't feel like it's any big hindrance. Not to mention it makes the player be a lot more conservative about using them since BB is suppose to be about regaining health through attacking.

just defeated
the one reborn
in the
unseen village
. kinda regret summoning for it since its probably the easiest boss after the witch of hemwick moveset wise..but the leadup to it, man, that entire area is INSANE.

This game should keep stats.

Time playing the game
Time looking at loading screens
Time spent going up and down ladders
Bullets accidentally fired after putting the controller down
Number of times you died to an invisible pop in enemy
Insight wasted on summons that never came
Number of pig colonoscopies

lol
I did it yesterday. Nightmare fuel.

Has anyone found the helm for the
executioner
set? (late game)
Don't know if anyone responded because I haven't caught up. If it's the helm I'm thinking of, you get it by
sending Alfred to kill the Vileblood Queen by giving him the Unopened Summons. After you send him go back to her chamber, then go back to where you met Alfred originally in the Cathedral Ward to get a rune from his body. Go back to the shop and his helm should be for sale.

Regarding the disappearance of something from the Hunter's Dream (around third boss)

Should I be concerned about where the old hunter in the wheelchair went or just keep playing?

He seems to pop in and out, I haven't found a rhyme or reason to it yet.

Guys need help about a supposed Covenant!

I found the Tonsil Stone and I'm going to meet with the spider and patches on the abandoned church, what do I need to do?

Don't mind spoiling me!

Thanks for the answers!

Aaaaand final question (?!), if I put in the Great Isz Chalice (5), the dungeon gets harder or what? What's the difference between all the chalices that I can use?

Probably not. He has a life, he can't spend all day talking to you. Get over yourself lol

It's been a long time since a game breached my top 10 of all time, but Bloodborne is good odds to bash its way in there somewhat when all is said and done. It is that good.

...

I broke my weapon, and I haven't beaten the cleric beast.... Am I boned, even by Bloodborne standards, can't see a blacksmith anywhere.

oh man, the monster
in the Abyss.
FromSoft really went full disgusting mode with this game.

he dropped only a shitty Chalice dungeon item though.

isn't there anything else to do in that location?

Apparently that boss can heal, but that can be easily interrupted. Maybe some people backed off to use a blood vial and the boss healed up at the same time. I never saw the boss do this on my run.

She never healed for me either... but I am stupid aggressive. This game rewards an actively aggressive play style. Never thought FROM would reward me for being balls to the wall slaughter McChoppy Chop, mind you I am not complaining.

There's a desk in the hunters dream house that is where you do repairs. To the left of the fireplace.

is there a way to increase stats without beating the first boss?

Yes. If you go down the sewers from the bridge (it's across the other side from where you first come up), and go backwards from there, staying on the lowest possible floor, you'll eventually find a tunnel that has a sewage canal with a few wrecked boats in it. There are rats at the end of that tunnel guiding a corpse with a Madman's Knowledge. Use that to get +1 insight, which will allow you to level up in the Dream.

about to beat
Amelia
and the connection to the server is lost kicking me out to the title. I wasn't even summoning. Pretty frustrating.
You have your hands doncha?

Umm maybe not haha. Go arojnd and look for cold blood, you'd be able to buy a new one. Did you get the shortcut yet? There's some around there.

Unlike Demon's there's a cap so I don't get why you can't start with 3 or 5 to get you going at a checkpoint. It wouldn't be another herb situation.

Ugh. So if I fought and killed the hunters at the Cathedral, I'm boned? She's still in Odeon graveyard for me.
I completed her quest so I'll just tell you what I did.
Talk at sewers, at some point she's where you fought Gascoigne. After you beat Rom she should move to the Cathedral where you fight Amelia. Beat the hunter there to complete her quest.

As soon as you got your first insight, the doll should have awoken I'm pretty sure

You unlock it by either beating the boss or dying to it.

Die to the first boss.

You can level up as long as you have one point of insight. The eyeball in the top right tells you. You get one just for entering the boss room though.

You need at least 1 insight to activate the doll in the hunter's dream. Easiest way is to face off against the first boss and die against it, you'll get 1 insight automatically.

Thanks for the answers!

I accidentally did this before I knew where the first boss was. I was scared of the troll guy on the bridge so I went down there instead lol

1.) 20 hours
2.) lord knows! I actually have a recording of a 14 second load back to the Dream Refuge though!
3.) not very long ... not many ladders? ( you can hold circle to go up and down faster btw )
4.) couple of times
5.) never
6.) none
7.) atleast 3

I've got this issue as well. Just beat BSB. Help? =(

Spawn at the Grand Cathedral lantern and make your way down to the church with the other lantern where you send people. The Crow Lady will be right outside the church with the NPCs after you kill Vicar Amelia.

The last part of her quest is available only after you beat Rom The Vacuous Spider. Go back to the Grand Cathedral where you fought Amelia and the Crow Lady will be outside.

No it's definitely an issue haha. Even if it wasn't a hassle (which it is for most players) it's nothing but a step back. You should start with a few automatically like estus. This accomplishs the same as estus (limited heals per life) but adds in a stupid farming component. That's not smart.

So what's the consensus on the blade of mercy (if any)? According to the wiki it has an S scaling with skill at +10. Still, base physical damage is low but it's probably the fastest trick weapon in the game.
