Warp to the Central Yharnam lantern. Go through the shortcut gate and into the house. Kill the wheelchair guy for 4 bullets. Go to the outside area by the elevator and kill the two brick carrying guys. They can drop 2 vials each. Take the elevator and cross the bridge towards Father G's fog door, kill all the enemies there and watch for the flaming boulder. Continue up the stairs and kill the two enemies facing the corner: use a pebble to aggro one of them and kill it, then backstab the other. Run back towards the bridge and suicide by jumping off. You will spawn back at the Central Yharnam lantern. Rinse and repeat. If you kill everything on the next run, you will regain the lost echoes from your suicide. In maybe 20 minutes I maxed out my carry load of 20 vials and 20 bullets, and had about 50 of each in storage.

I'm stuck at the 3rd boss and have no supplies. Think I'll try running around the beginning section with the villagers and hope for some drops.
 
If you run out of vials and feel the need to farm, dont. Instead, realize that this reflects your weak understanding of the fight. Fight the boss until you no longer need to heal.

I just started sending people there, but said some people are going crazy as they stay there? Also, after I read that post, I remembered the hag specifically wanted "sane" people....

Those who finished the game.. Can you rank the souls games + this in terms of difficulty? I 6 hours in this game and my guess is that demon souls is still the toughest among the 4?

forbidden woods
next and lost over 21,000 souls :( I was messing on the laptop during the loading screen, I look up and
a cut scene played. I'm kidnapped and taken to some jail cell. LOL I love this game.

SHIT! I probably (should've) have the key for that door and it was on my to-do list but I forgot about it :(

Press up on the D-pad to make some spare bullets at the cost of some life if you need to. Keep in mind these bullets are lost if you die. Blood Vials are essential. What I didn't know at first was that you can easily have more than 20 -- any extras you get or buy immediately go into storage and your on - hand stock is restored when you die, from storage. So you can hold 20 on you, and 99 in storage. I'd suggest farming a little, stocking up on blood vials so you don't have to worry about it for awhile. It helped me.

From the central lamp, if you head towards Father G's location you can hit up wheelchair guy for 4 bulets, use blood bullets to score 4 vials off the 2 brick guys nearby, then go mook bowling and kill the third brick guy. After that you can double back through the dog pens and to the start of the aquaducts for some more easy bullets/vials. Vials in my mind are easier to get then bullets so when you're farming make sure to use blood bullets rather than quicksilver ones.

it doesn't say locked, it says closed. I have almost nothing left to do, but this is bugging me. Did you get the living string? I got the Blood Stone the hard way, not sure how to kill the thing guarding it

I have not finished, but I would say...

Demons Souls (because before this game we had nothing to compare it to on consoles (PC Gaming is usually always this hardcore)

Bloodborne

I do not recognize Dark Souls as existing. It is horrid.

Somehow I got to boss 4 before boss 3. Boss 3 area was missed completely due to not seeing a small staircase which lead to a new area I completely had no idea existed until late last night. Both bosses still live, especially boss 4, who literally goes ape shit when less then 40% life and proceeds to violate my orifice with extreme prejudice. I have no idea what to do at that point but to curl up in a ball and ring my bell, weeping softly.

I think I know which one you're referring to and I beat it a few hours ago after a mighty struggle. Hang in there.
 
Game has just consumed my life. I have been a little sour about the difficulty at times (even having played the souls titles) but truth be told this game is a triumph -- not for everyone, but a triumph nonetheless.

Some people have as much as 99 insight. and I hear that the more insight you have,
the more difficult the game becomes. Enemies have more attacks added to their movesets, and some new enemies will appear.
Dunno if this has been confirmed true, but a lot of GAFfers have mentioned it happening to them.

Bolt atatcks on his sides/back. I slaughtered him with the electric mace. I only killed the first lot of adds and then ignored them and focussed on him.

ENB hinted in his last video that you can't get through that door no matter what. possible DLC entrance? :)
 
In the Forbidden Woods there's an item I can't figure out how to reach. You can see it by walking across a log bridge and looking up and to the right. Is it worth trying to get it?

Well, I don't the maximum Insight you could have. What I know that with more Insight, you'll discover more areas, more enemies with them becoming harder. The openess of this combined with Insight mechanic, makes backtrack necessary as it's very easy to miss tons of important thing.

So what exactly is procedurally generated in chalice dungeons. Is it just the same dungeon map, but then mobs, drops, and difficulty are changed?

Similar to how Path of Exile with the map pieces?

FUCK YES. From Soft was uncharacteristically nice with this sidequest's triggers.

Just progressed it past the first time you help her.
 
I couldn't resist any longer, bought a PS4.
People weren't kidding about those PSN download times though. Time to do something else for a while.

Bloodborne is the most difficult. Bloodborne so far I give a 9/10 difficulty wise

Dark Souls is far behind but still hard. DS I give a 6/10 difficulty wise.

Demons Souls is by far the easiest. DeS I give a 2/10 difficulty wise.

You helped her
kill the hunter she was dueling? You can buy his armor from the insight merchant now. It looks awesome!
 
Surprised to hear people talk about the broken blood marks. they have always worked for me so far. I haven't had any issue seeing the player deaths. Do they know what's causing it?
