Is she still in the Cathedral spawn for you? If she is and her dialog still says don't go there, do exactly what I did. Warp back to "Central Yharnam" and run to the graveyard from there.

Where is she in the cathedral anyways. I've only ever seen get in the sewers.

She isn't at the Cathedral or the graveyard. I will try running there anyway, because I am out of options.

You create them. They are what the tombstones on the left in the dream are for.

Ah. She was still at the Cathedral for me when I did this, so I dunno if this'll help, sorry :(.

Anyone knows the different weapon's scaling at +6 and above? I would love to see how they compare in terms of scaling.

Also, question to people using Ludwig's holy blade. Does arcane scaling raise ALL damage made by the sword, or just the L2 swing?

Doesn't raise damage for normal attacks, you'll notice if you upgrade the sword your scaling may raise but damage doesn't. If it affected overall damage you'd see that number raise. Not sure on L2, I always forget it actually does something. There are gems that can give you an element, I found an arcane one and it turned all of the Kirkhammers damage to arcane. Which is odd. lol

Also that was the only rune I've found that does such a thing in about 20 hours. o_O

So for the LHB it would probably best to find an arcane gem that can fit one of its slots, then you'd get the scaling benefit on normal attacks.

Adding random notes of NG+ while I'm playing.

The regular Yharnam enemies give around 40 echoes. The same enemies give around 850 echoes in NG. This means that the xp is 21x higher in NG+.

jesus that is a massive xp difference haha.

22 hours seems short for a game where you did literally everything possible on your playthrough, considering how long a similar feat took me in DS games. But the game is faster paced in combat, so it makes sense to me it might move faster too.

Plus it's all about the quality of the content <:D

Is Bloodborne as flexible as Dark Souls in regards to character build? Without magic, it seems like it would be less fun to replay with a new character. Not sure if anyone has tried this out yet, though.

From spawning at the lamp, run straight out the exit in front of you, then turn left outside. She is standing next to the railing. Kinda hard to see. I actually nearly attacked her when I first ran up on her.

Your going to love it bro

That's half a Dark Souls playthrough.

If somebody played Dark Souls 1 after playing the other three games, it wouldn't take 44 hours. The skill and learning from the other games goes a long way.

I beat BB in 24 hours, but no Chalice dungeons, and skipped a handful of bosses (and areas, as far as I know). The world itself is larger, but the pace is a lot faster because you're returning to bonfires/respawning enemies less regularly due to the lack of any Estus system.

I just beat the game and started NG+

I didnt do any chalice dungeons yet

I also didnt bother with any special quests and have about 80+ insight

what do you recommend i focus on this NG+?

in Demons Souls i played NG+ at least 10 times, with each run getting faster and faster. Is Bloodborne similar?

Also where do i find that blood rock to upgrade my weapon to +10?

For what it's worth, I have hundreds of hours in the three previous Souls games and I'm only 3 bosses into this at 20+ hours. But everyone's definition of "taking time" is different, and as you said, quality over quantity.

Have you tried Chalice Dungeon Yoshi?
Yes. I did two of them.

I'll be farming these like Mephisto runs in D2 much later on.

LOL, yeah, having the ability to save anywhere at anytime on most PC games is like the opposite of hardcore and nearly every PC game I've ever played implements this save system.

...Now I just think this is a sarcasta-ball post. You can't be serious. What exactly was horrid?

Totally sarcastic post.

I had to counter balance all the Dark Souls is a million times better than Bloodborne crap that was hitting the OT.

Actually Dark Souls as a game has some of my fondest memories. The introduction of the dragon right at the beginning... stuff of legend.

Unsure what exactly you're referring to... hmm...

After you defeat the crazy guy who runs around the maze forever, if you go back to down the elevators you will notice a new one. It descends into a giant room of darkness... sort of like the area where you fight Rom, except pure black with nothing but you and the elevator.

22h. I took my time (ask stream. I was literally looking everywhere for loot. I went for the "trying to do 100%-without looking too much at guides"-playthrough. I did, however "rage-quit" my first character 8h in. The second character I created basically "rushed" through the first two bosses.

Did you do the chalice? And beat all the main game bosses?
Which ending did you get?

It seems like the only builds are strength, skill, or specific element(and the point at which you can get there takes a long ass time). But I'm nowhere close to finished and I don't know any spoilers.

The Cathedral Plaza with the two huge enemies roaming the circular area. At the left side should be one of the giants that isn't moving anymore. Go past it until you reach a door. GIve the guy the password (you should know it if you beat the Vicar).

Thanks. That did it. Btw where do i use the key I bought for 10k echoes? It says the cathedral on the item description, but i never found a door that it opens

Did you find
a set that came with a top hat? Or something else? If it's the latter, where was it?

I'll have to check later. Can't remember off the top of my head (pardon the pun) from memory it was
not far from the cathedral lamp.In the alleyway where you can knock on some doors

Memory is a bit hazy so forgive me if that's wrong :)

Holy crap, what are you doing in those 20 hours?

I have no idea O_O I just remember the
mother brain falling down

End Game Q

In the Nightmare of Mensis how do you get on top of the bridge with the gigantic eye beast?
I see one of those singing monsters that send u into a frenzy walking around on it but I can't get there.

Also is there a way to exterminate the eye beast?

Cleric beast killed aaaaaaand now to chill the fuck out with something else lol.

These bosses have no rhyme or reason, had the first boss down to 1/5th health and I thought "I got this" ... then proceed to get mauled by a new move I hadn't seen before.

First boss down, now Bloodborne can begin... oh dear.

You can drop something into it in another area. Hint: Look for an elevator you can walk into a door from midway through going up/down.

Are any of the chalice bosses immune to parry, fighting my frst one
Undead Giant
and he appears to be. R2 charge seems to sometimes stagger other times not. Really hard to find openings as well, crazy range and tracking.

Edit: Hrmmm
Looks like there may be a weak point on his leg, but that seems to go away after it's exploited once.

Reading the comments about the amount of hours it took people to beat the game makes me realize how slow I am. I'm about 13 hours and haven't beaten the third boss yet. But I guess I do intentionally go really slow in these games on my first playthrough, and I've done an hour or two of helping people beat bosses.

I personally prefer really taking my time, but can see how others may enjoy going through the game at a quicker pace.

I've been looking into information about chalice dungeons so that I'll be ready for whenever I decide to start on that, and I've got two questions for anyone that might know the answers. I've not had much luck finding this information anywhere else so far.

1. How do I get the
Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice
? From what I understand, that's what I need in order to
get Yharnam, Phtumerian Queen as the boss of the last layer.

2. From what I understand, there is something called
Arcane Haze Extractor that let's you get arcane haze from ritual materials.
Any ideas on where to get this?

Leave the lamp in old y, go straight, don't go left to the bridge, keep going straight off a ledge to another ledge, to the top of a building, to the ledge below, look across the gap for a small platform on a pillar, roll on that, turn right, jump down, enter the door you opened, go down the stairs, out the building to the right and follow the hook left straight to BSB

So that door past the two
big hounds
in old y is where BSB is? I found it earlier but hadn't dealt with the turret guy so went back - will explore there later.

Oh, is that area
kinda foggy, and there were some hunters patrolling around?
I didn't finish exploring that area.

He plays super fast and efficient though, and his "exploration" was rushed. He never stopped to look at something, he was always on the go.

I would definitely not view his completion time as a marker of the true average BB game length. In a week or two, HLTB will have enough data for reasonable conclusion.

='(((((((

You beat the real boss, or the meh ending?

I can't use the bell, restart my PS4 same problem. I don't know if the reason is because when playing with someone and at the 2nd boss we defeat him and died at the same time and the game glitched.

Did you do the chalice? And beat all the main game bosses?
Which ending did you get?
Yes, I did two chalice dungeons.

Yes, I beat all the bosses and cleared every area in the game.

I got the ending: SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!
RIP Gherman, and I end up in a wheelchair. The end! I didn't get the "optional" final boss

I'm about 8 hours in and haven't even found the 3rd boss yet. Or 4th depending on your route :)
