Yup. You have to make it down and survive a longer journey after that.
Don't worry you have to do it so many times that the path becomes second nature :F
I'm just about to face the boss in that area.
Wait a second. After you beat BSB you can keep going DOWN? I didn't know that. I started to go back up. :3

Yeah, that's true about pvp. I certainly have no interest in it for this game, unlike, say, DkS1. But I think it's a good stab pve-wise at branching off the typical Souls formula while retaining so much of what makes it good.

Yeah it's a fun take on the formula, I just don't like the lack of build options for it. I suppose it's probably a lot more interesting for people that used to use a shield a lot anyway.

How can I get out of that room where you find the hunter? I'm afraid to jump down. :(

Edit: Nevermind, found out that I was supposed to use a Bold Hunters Mark to get out :)

After 4 bosses:
I killed CB, FG, BSB, and Vicar. I got to a light in Hemlock. Anyways, I was never taken to the prison (cause I killed the guys with bags) and I believe that's where Paarl is. Can I get to him eventually? Is he missable?

So, what is the relationship with the bad blood the church got, the elder gods, and the hunters? I'm curious as to how the Cthulhu elements play in to the story itself. Because I just beat the game for the first time and have no idea what just happened or why. I don't know what caused what.

Santa never dies. You still have the option of getting murdered by him.

I haven't decided actually so I'll probably level up both strength and skill.

1. This is useful to know as I was wondering why a bunch of new stuff opened up. Shall I stick with the Saw Blade or opt for something else? I still have no idea how upgrading your weapons work (or if I have that option yet).
2. This explains the one woman I encountered who was referring to a safe place. When can I send her there? When I've unlocked that place?
3. I take it by following her questline I will get more benefits out of it than just merking her right there and then and taking everything?

Thanks!

1. Yeah the Saw Blade is fine, there aren't a load of weapons in the game so it will definitely see you through to the end if you level it up. You will have enough mats to level up 2 or 3 weapons so pick another, such as
Ludwig's Blade
.
2. I think that's what happens yeah, once you get to
Cathedral Ward
. I'm late in the game, so I have forgot tbh!
3. I think you can just merk her. I totally missed this because I didn't find her before the third boss so not totally sure.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I went to the tomb after father G and the
woman died
=[ that
hunter
is a monster! My blunderbuss was hitting both of them, so it was hard to
help her
effectively.

After that, in less than 5 mnutes, I found two other random ones. I'm so fucking afraid to tackle them, even more so than the two bosses I found (but haven't fought yet).

The one with the
electric
weapon is so fucking relentless and fast.

I'm gonna have a heart attack playing this game.
Go on the rooftops instead of the path downward. Then you can fight the hunters separately.

You won't miss him, and he's crazy hard for where you are right now.

Just been summoned to help somebody with BSB and a woman with a bell appeared, apparently she was attracted to the bell ringing and is now ringing a sinister bell.

Sadly the guy entered the boss gate before I got to see what happened :(

Im at bsb now but as I didnt have much time I was trying to help on cleric best, at the entrance to the bridge. I got summoned but they were not there..

Have you tried:
saving the music box for after he transforms, use it, run behind him, charge attack, riposte, molotovs if he's still alive after that. Also if you haven't try and upgrades your weapon to at least +2, there should be enough shards lying around central yharnam for that.

lol, first try. Thank you!

Hmm... found a spot in NG+ that earns me 80k echoes every 3 minutes. Not bad at all.

Huge spoiler incoming.

Holy fucking shit! I can't believe
magic
is actually in the game!
How has that has not been spoiled yet by anyone is crazy. Maybe I'm just spending too much time actually playing lol.

As a side note, I'm glad none of the characters are particularly likable. No praise the sun bullshit here. The closest is little "nothing but ____ here" messages, but those are funny. I saw one near a stroller that said "nothing but babies here" lol.

holy shit. I just noticed I can buy bone marrow ash at the store for souls. either this is new or I stupidly never noticed it.

this is pretty cool. when you activate bone marrow ash, your gun bullets do a ton more damage.

I'm a moron, realised my weapon was broken. Had no way of fixing it really so just restarted the game and blitzed through to the boss, doing better now.

Are you guys having trouble finding the host when you get into his world? Any tips for not having to search all around the map?

A couple of times I have trouble. Usually I want to assist in a boss fight, so I ring my bell by the fog door and wait there. But some hosts apparently just want help going through the area, so they're somewhere else. This has only happened at the beginning of the game. Everywhere else had been fine.

Yep, going to stock up a lot since I'm doing a bloodtinge build.

More spoilers for an optional area end-game:

The Daughter of the Cosmos seems pretty tough. Anyone got to her?

Yeah. Seems to have gone from one extreme to the other, since the boss just before her was easy as hell. I was actually getting a ton of shots in on her but my damage output was pretty bad, gonna level up a bit more before returning to that.

Question about Cathedral Ward.

Those 2 devices right across from each other that open and close that gate right in front of you. What is the point of them? I thought maybe closing that gate would open a different one, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there any point to those devices?

It's to limit the movement of a powerful enemy.

I still don't understand how the shining coin works.

Also I'm hoping PVP figures itself out so people can start making builds but it is sad because I feel like I have a cool build that I would like to use online but it is level 111 (could of been 110 if I picked the right class)

same here. I just heard of a good gun in
cainhurst so I went and got the summons, now I'm looking for the gun. well, first I gotta find the entrance to cainhurst.

my stats:

lvl 56
vit 23
end 23
str 18
skl 13
bt 20
arc 9

from here I'm focusing on cranking BT for the next 10 or more levels. if I did it over I'd probably raise str less, but I think I'm not too far off target.

streaming right now, btw. www.twitch.tv/tapezilla let's find that gun.
