Around halfway I'd say. I'd kill Paarl now if you can, I'm not sure if you can go back to that one. There's like three or four hidden areas (including upper cathedral) as well if you haven't found them but you should be able to do them whenever

Vicar Amelia? If not, that's your next target. The messenger store at Hunters dream should have something you need

If you have,
the amulet she gave you opens a door near her area (before going up the stairs there is a big open area with 2 of those big white guys. Behind one of them is a passage that will lead you to a door where you are asked for a password. If you defeated Vicar Amelia you will have the answer and be able to acess a new area)

Some of the enemies in the chalice dungeons are scary as fuck.

Crazy ass witches that run abnormally fast and wield dual fire swords. Halp.

When you leave the cathedral and go straight out the front door, you are at a staircase that is to the right of the main staircase leading up to that boss fight. At the top of the stairs there is a ladder to your right, which leads up to a body with the anti-healing mist stuff. However, there is also a body on a ledge with something to pick up (it's right in front of you as you ascend the staircase).

How in the hell are you supposed to get to that ledge? Is it even worth it?

Don't know if anyone responded, but the way to the item is extremely roundabout. You cannot get it right now.
 
Game is so good, addicting, just awesome. Worth buying a PS4 just for it. Couldn't get into Souls, but I am hooked on BB. My GOTY easy. Sooo good.
 
man. trying to stay strong and solo all of the bosses, but I am on a particular boss now that is really tempting me to summon some people in to help with it.

(missable / secret area boss)
Martyr Logarius at the Castle. The best I have done so far is to get him down to about 1/3 health - but I keep getting stunlocked by either his scythe or his spells and can't recover in time to heal. I've got the first part of the fight down, and can riposte pretty easily. But once he charges up it is a lot harder to time the gun parry.

Welp, like with the first Dark Souls it took a while for it to finally click. But damn this game is GUD, I'm getting my ass kicked and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Just have scratched the surface.
My only complain: Graphics can be an eyesore though...

Vicar Amelia the woman praying at a church which turned into a deer/dog? That was my third one. Then I got out of there and went right into the cemetery.

What the fuck, this is getting weird. Those big creatures everywhere are freaking me the fuck out, and I got what I think is the last boss spoiled for me, so I think I know where this is going... and I love it.

Logarius
and entered a room with a lady I think called herself a queen. She says she won't talk to a beast. There is a prompt to kneel, but I'm a little wary of it being a game changing decision.

I absolutely love this game by the way, its incredible.

boss fight is what I'd call too long for how fast you can die. If it was a slow death it'd be ok...

Good fight though, even with possible near instant death.

I'm pretty sure it's the first one, and the first one is much easier, but I'm not really sure.

The second dungeon is actually really fun. One of the rooms is a giant clusterfuck full of those big centipede demons that drop arcane haze so it might be good for farming those since a lot of them are required for the better dungeon recipes.

The item is called Workshop Haze Extractor.

Found it. The Workshop Haze Extractor is actually in Lower Pthumerian Depth 2. It's inside a big treasure chest.
 
Finally beat the 2nd boss today.
Gascoigne, idestroyed him with Molotovs once he transformed
and now i'm exploring the world. Damn guys, the atmosphere of the world is incredible oppressive, sometimes i really dread entering new areas.

Btw, about the second boss:
Is he the father of the girl who ask you to find her mother? The musical box she gave you has his name along with the one of her mother

I wasn't getting much damage out of him, but I was doing well on parrying and riposting him. But when he was with 20% life left, he fucking
HEALED HIMSELF COMPLETELY
.
Should I upgrade my Axe? Should I get that giant Hammer? I'm level 21~22 btw

Can't beat BSB. I get it to the last third of health and I can't get near it after that. Are there any items to increase poison resistance? I think I'm going to come back to this thing later. It's the damn grabs that wreck me!

At least it's optional, but this isn't over!

You will have enough to fortify a few weapons with the normal shards, so it doesnt really matter. Keep in mind, the starter weapons are really good, but I have my Kirkhammer at +5 now and its a beast. I hear you can imbue it with fire later and it becomes even better (ENB said this).

Just buy the pistol and shoot him off

I found charge attacks to work well.

Charge at him so he will fall.

So the blood shards of whatever are plentiful so I can fortify multiple weapons?
