Never played a Souls game besides a tiny bit of the start of Dark Souls. I'm going to bed in a bit but first I wanna dip my toes in Bloodborne. Sorry if these are posted somewhere already but.. beginner tips?

Good lord this
NPC Hunter in the area you fought Gascoigne
is kicking my ass so hard.

He will riposte me out of nowhere and then boom, dead. Or he spams his pistol and seems to lock in on me at the worst of times. He also killed
the other Hunter you meet with the feathered cape

Toughest fight yet maybe

depth 1? no yosp. git gud first.

BSB was not a fun fight. It's attacks aren't even difficult to dodge, but if you get hit once in the final phase you're dead because even if it isn't the insta-kill you're going to die to the poison.

Please tell me no other boss has BS status affects like that one.

So many close calls with this boss
Martyr Logarius
never seem to be able to clutch it out. Its fricking demoralizing fighting this guy over and over and over!

Thanks for the answers guys, I joined the covenant. I really don't know which way to go though now, I was thinking that was my way forward!

Where should I go after
Logarius
? I'm not sure which bosses are optional but i've killed everything I came across so far.

R.I.P. Eileen

I just kept shooting him with my pistol and basically let Eileen do most of the work, then at the end I used a couple of charge attacks with my cane. But since he killed Eileen in your playthrough that strat won't work anymore.

Still having a bit of an issue after V
icar
A
melia.

I come down the stairs after killing her and go left (right if you are coming up the stairs), and there are two houses here. Both with people crying horrendously, with no options. I explore everything around here before going down the path more. Kill the two snipers and the two fat dudes, then head into the door where the invisible guy is on the ceiling. I walk to the door and he grabs, and I can't find any way to attack or get through. Someone said I need an item, but I can't seem to find it if its on the path to this boss.

That fight is optional. What other bosses have you done?

Where can I find it?

Its located in the top of the cathedral ward. After the BSB the door to the right in the cathedral opens, go through and kill everything and you should find it. After that you can buy it at the store.

wheres the shortcut for BSB lol

In the village before the BSB there are a few werewolves, one which breaks through the door to attack you. Go inside there and to the top, there will be a ladder back to the beginning of the area.

You can buy it for 20k blood echoes.

The normal vendor, or the one that I need 10 insights?
And do I have to kill any boss before unlocking it on the merchant?

And here's the answer. Thanks!

So the MID TO LATE GAME SPOILERS
Unseen village
is destroying me. Should I not have gone straight there after
Rom
, or is this how it's supposed to be?
I can't get past these guys on the stairs right near the lamp.

I thought this was a huge difficulty spike, and I went there the same time as you.
If you're talking about the area I think, I dealt with it by sprinting past the people, getting inside, and taking out the bell ringing woman. Then another sprinting session after that.

I had major difficulty in the rest of it -- I managed to get through and beat the boss, who wasn't bad at all, after several co-op sessions, but I know there's still a bunch I missed.

After being told to parry FG I breezed through him. Felt good. I felt so relieved to finally be past him. Made it a fair amount further after that, got to a couple more lanterns, but died a few times trying to be risky.

Really enjoying the game so far but I have to play in spurts. I cant sit down and play this for hours on end.

Do you have the
tonsil stone
in your inventory?

Cathedral Ward. On the way to wrecking ball giant, there's a pit in front of the brick troll. Is there any significance? I hear people by it and there's notes everywhere.

Remember the big wolf that crashed through a door? Go through that door to open the shortcut.

Exit out from the building, hang a right and drop down off the roofs, go into the building and go down the stairs, hang a right outside and book it along the path until you get to BSB.

whattttttt I saw nothing lol.

Take the other side off the stairs for the next area

Just killed my 4th boss
Amelia

Was having issues at first, kudos to the mentions of
fire paper
in here though, def did the trick. Aggressive play ended the fight very quickly (which seems to be a growing pattern in Bloodborne lol)
