Go back to the cathedral and go right immediately after the steps. A new door will have opened leading to an elevator.

Yeah that is what I mean by falling down the tower. There are the dark alleys and a bag robe guy sent me to prison. Do I go there and just not get killed by that guy?

His left meaning right? Or left?

Dodge to your left every time so that you go around the boss and flank it. You aim is to get a few hits in the back/side. Take your time and don't worry if you whiff every now and then.

Just make sure to keep at it, don't hesitate and get poisoned in the third stage.

I used up all of my insight trying to find someone to help me beat BSB. No one got summoned out of like 8 tries.

I think I'm done with this game. Really like the style of the game, but I'm not going to keep sitting at this wall.

You just have to wait. It sucks, but using up your insight and trying again doesn't help

Is
the Hunter
above the Yarnham sewers supposed to be friendly? I attacked him when I first encountered him and he seems to still remember it many instances of Yarnham later. He destroyed me back then so I ran my ass off when he proved to still hold a grudge.

yes. and its a she.

Yes. He only does that the first time.
Next death you'll just go back to the lamp again.

How far into the game am I? Beat giant spider thing, and now in the
Yahar'gul, Unseen Village
. Been here one before when I got kidnapped - now I am here 'legit'.

I have killed.
* Cleric
* Father G
* Blood starved
* Witches
* Vicar
* Forbidden Forest boss
* Giant spider thingy

Keep hearing people say that they moved into NG+ unexpectedly fast - and wondering how close I am, and how many more 'major' areas I have left to clear.

Yharnam, Forbidden Forest, etc felt like 'major' areas with allot to them. The area leading up to say, the witch - felt shorter/smaller
, so with those points of reference in mind - how many more 'large' areas are left?

I've discovered the
Lecture Hall and Nightmare Frontier
, which seems dreadful. Did some co-op there and got my ass kicked promptly. But unless I'm missing something, seems like that, or the Unseen area are my two options of progression right now.

So is the PVP meta decided yet? What's the word? I keep seeing the number 125 thrown around

Very few high level players to dial in the meta. Probably going to be another week or so. Although, the PvP in this game could be very different since the Bell system throws a monkey wrench into how it has traditionally been done.

No more dropping signs at the bridge and setting up duals. Every invasion will now be random and you have to go and find them. I expect PvP to be a bit of a sore subject for players long term due to the system.

Had the craziest experience during a specific
hunter fight in Grand Chapel.

This is hands down the hardest fight in the game. In my opinion, harder than any bosses so far. I defeated
12
so far. After many losses, I used the Numbing Mist and this started to happen. Maybe it's an exploit that can help? Bug? I don't know but I was so happy to finally have this completed lol.

Here's the video - https://youtu.be/QBhmIuOTfbQ
not sure what happened there but you can just leave the building as soon as he uses the "blood" stance which drains his health. he'll die because he won't go back to the normal stance.

gg

otherwise yeah, that fight is really hard. his gun was killing me with 2 shots at level 60-70.

Since i didn't even know about this side quest until i read this thread
The girl gives you the music box,you kill her father (boss),he drops something,you show his loot to her and later you find her corpse in the sewers right?
or is it something else?

Please don't read this.

She got eaten by a pig and becomes a messenger.

Thanks, and what is the blood stance? I never noticed his health draining. So just get him agro and do this stance and walk out and his health will drain and he'll die?

quest/enemy spoiler (vent):

The hunter you fight at the end of Eileen's questline is complete bullshit. I kinda hate how NPC's guns are super OP, when ours are weak and just for parries really, the fights against them don't really feel legit cause of that. First time i fought him he only used his gun once or twice which happened to be RIGHT when i was about to beat him. Every fight since he fucking spams it, which kills me in two shots at lvl 50 with 25 vit and def up rune.

edit: LOL @ that video above about this

I love this game, but i might have to call it quits guy

I have wasted all 4 of my insight calling co-op against BSB and despite being close have not beat him..

and now i have 0 insight and feel like im still underleveled...

I suggest completing
Cainhurst Castle
and
Nightmare Frontier
before continuing with
Yahar'gul
(they're both optional).
There's also another really cool area that you can unlock by
getting a key from Yahar'gul, a little into the level
.

I'm playing an alt for some reason (I wanted to make a skill/bloodtinge character and get
the castle cainhurst weapons asap
) and I was just curious -- is there any reason NOT to just kill eileen right away and get her items that way? do you get anything extra by doing her quest to the end?

Don't know where the hell I'm going lol

Got grabbed and taken to the Lecture Building, walked around there now I'm at the Nightmare Frontier

This game fucking rocks.

Stamina regen rune at the end.

Oh shit, found Blood Rock(probably for my god axe).

The entire thing leading up to get this sure was...something.
I also found the giant brain thing, but it's not doing anything but staring at me...is there more to this? Should I kill it?

Something to look out for before finishing your first run through, huge end game spoilers here:

To fight the "true" final boss you need to consume three umbilical cord items before fighting Gherman. After beating Gherman you can use an item to leave the final boss fight, this will allow you to buy the Burial Blade (60K) and Gherman's set (~30K) and start your New game with them. Possibly people already realised this but just thought I'd post it anyway.

So I accidentally stumbled into
Paarl's
boss room. I'm lvl 30 with
Ludwig's Greatsword
+4.

I don't think I'm supposed to be fighting him yet lol. Fourth boss I've seen so far.

If you follow her quest you'll also get the
Hunter oath rune
.
It
raises your stamina recovery speed and makes you a member of Hunter of Hunters covenant
.

Vitality and End are musts, always level them, and then pick a primary attack stat. STR being great for STR weapons, Skill for skill weapons, bloodtinge is for guns and arcane is for magic weapons which doesnt seem to be that popular. So basically for whatever weapon you like, look at its stats, there will be a letter next to its attributes, the higher the letter means it scales better for that weapon so level that skill.

A is best, B slightly worse, C, slightly worse, you get the point.

Thanks a lot!

I just beat the second boss (
Father Gascoigne
). Did it on my 1st try! Using only one molotov! =D

Just had access to the co-op items. Now, the only way to get insights is killing bosses or advancing through your game? It means that in order to keep getting insights "unlimited" I need to help people to beat the bosses, right? And how can I get called?

Can someone help me at the third boss please

Here's what I did

If you have fire paper, USE IT. It doesn't last long on your weapon but it does so much more damage to him and ends the fight faster, meaning less time for you to make a mistake and die.

Now here is a tip that makes this fight entirely faceroll that I felt so dumb for not noticing, courtesy of someone on the bloodborne subreddit:

His name is "blood starved beast" right? So, use the blood cocktail thing during the fight (you should have picked up some by now). Throw it and the boss chases after it and sits there slurping it up, where you can easily land a charged move that also stuns him and then you can do an execution. Rinse and repeat.

If you are in the minority that thinks this game is too easy, explore Chalice Dungeons. I just fought a whole area of enemies that one shot me at level 67, followed by a mindflayer boss.

Is it in
Mergo's base ? I'm past the hunter on the bridge and just unlocked the shortcut. Is the blood rock close ?

My current chalice dungeon took awhile for me to get through. The final boss is going to probably take a lot of attempts for me to beat him.

Just beat
Paarl
.
I'm really loving this game, but I don't think it'll surpass Dark Souls for me. Part of the reason I loved that game was the satisfaction of overcoming the difficulty. While I'm excellent at this game, no boss has gotten past 4 attempts for me. Through no fault of Bloodborne, I just don't get that rush of beating a boss like I did back in DaS. I'm just too used to the Souls formula. Still, I'm really enjoying it so far.

What the hell am I suppose to do when father goes into his second form? I'm trying to use the special item to stagger him but he's too aggressive and i cant get away from him to use it. Should I just try to riposte him?

I parried the hell out of his first form. When he transformed he only had about 20% hp left, maybe less. Chucked an oil urn at him during his transformation, a couple of dodges, two Molotovs and he went down like a sack of bricks on my second try.

Yes. He only does that the first time.
Next death you'll just go back to the lamp again.

Oh, alright, thanks. I've managed to kill one of them because for some reason they replaced some other enemies, so now that I got some more vials, hopefully I can get past him.
