Late game question

anyone know how to open the door in an area near the Cathedral Ward with lots of vases and a chest next to it?

On a side note
I finally found Eilieen! She was at the vicar lamp which was inaccessible. She became hostile immediately and tried to kill me. Killed her and got her badge.

How do I get that? I'm about to chop down the BSB.

much later. well technically you can get it now. Spoilers of course:

If you have seen those sack carrying fuckers that are really hard (one is hiding just outside cathdral ward lantern front door, around the corner before you go up the big stairs), if you die to them, they take you to a later gme zone called unseen village or something.

when you spawn there, you need to manage your way out of the jail and up the stairs as much as you can (run run in your case probably), theres a lantern there. then, in the main room where the lantern is, there will be 2 sackguys and a door, go out the door, theres a giant pig, kill him or avoid him, go down the big stairs and theres a big courtwayd with lots of items and a couple of dogs. on a carridge theres a body with the full set on him

You gotta
get kidnapped by the guys with the big bags in Cathedral. You do this by getting murdered by one. You'll spawn in Yahar'gul. The set is somewhere in there.

Thanks. I think that's one of the coolest things I've read about in a game in quite some time. Such a unique way to discover a new place lol.

My review + summary + comparison to DeS, DkS1, DkS2, LotF will be glorious.

Just sayin'

LOTF has no place in that comparison, thats like throwing in fatal fury in a SF2/3/4 comparison

So is there a way to go through the big gate up at the Cathedral? I must be missing some glaringly obvious switch or something.

Apparently she goes crazy if you fail to complete her quest. I'm assuming you only met her once?

My question here is probably big endgame spoilers, so I'm warning before hand. If anyone knows without giving too much away
what are the requirements of the game true ending? I'd like to know so I can at least acquire it.

Still love the game but this artificial challenge is starting to piss me off. For example, I did
the Hemwick area
, killed over 25 enemies while not getting a single vial or bullet. I was already low when I entered, so I had to book it after opening the shortcut.

If this really does resort to grinding the same central yarnam area all the time, then give me the Flasks system from DaS. Fewer, but no wasting time against low level nobodies.

How the fuck do I get M

to be this chill? Dude goes berserk everytime I face him, flying swords and magic all over the place, can hardly even get time to heal =([/URL]

running around with 1.2mil souls... careful, yoshi. you know what'll happen if you lose these.

Damn, i reallllly wish they went dark souls style with health pots and
magic usage
:/ much rather have to manage small amounts that refill than having enemies frequently drop the items...really annoying seeing the msg that im full, and also not being able to refill outside of the hub. Also it makes no damn sense that
bullets power magic
lol, seems like a last minute after thought.

I just had something weird happen in a chalice dungeon. after clearing out a section, i went back to double check i didnt miss anything, and there was a brand new enemy i never seen before sitting on a small bridge i know i had been on before because i fought on it. I have no clue where it came from, there was nowhere it could have been hiding since the only room it could have come from was a chest room i cleared, it was big and scary as hell so no way i would have missed it, and it wasnt one of those
red enemies that spawn out of thin air.
chalice dungeons are really fucking creepy sometimes.

Ludwig's holy blade feels like cheating. I've been decimating everything since I got it and upgraded it a few times. I always play greatsword builds in the souls games so the moveset is perfect for me. That L2 attack combo is great.

twice. I didn't help her fight the Hunter.

As to your second question

you need three One Third of Umbilical Cord and then make a certain choice when at the end.

When you respawn you auto-fill pots and bullets from storage.

Hahaha oh my god.

Switch off for a second this thing will punish you.

Thought I'd cleared the area, all relaxed and could take the time to explore.

BAM Dead...should have gone for the torch first

Fuck me, i was listening to the soundtrack on youtube (gonna buy that shit, as it's fucking amazing, btw) and i think i just got spoiled on the final boss' name.
Fuck me for listening to the OST without having finished the game, but also FUCK Youtube and its auto-playlist-i'm-gonna-play-the-next-video-for-you-now bullshit.
At least keep playing related videos, don't go to people fighting the final boss, ffs.

It's pretty awesome for regular mobs, but I find it to be a liability when you're fighting NPC Hunters. The slow swing gives them a huge window to parry, or simply get an attack in before you do.

So I got lucky and met with a glitched attack pattern for a boss that was giving me a LOT of trouble. I have so far been able to solo all of the bosses, and this was the first one I was really considering giving in and summoning some help. M

- what a jerk! Kept getting stunlocked with his attacks. Honestly attempted the fight so many times that I burned through 80+ blood vials easily in total. Figured out the timing necessary for the riposte throughout the whole fight, and he did not buff himself like normal and get his expanded moveset for whatever reason. Finally took him down!

Just uploaded to YouTube, looks like HD is still compiling, but it is up in 480p for now.

Boom!

Vit/End/Skl = capped
18 more levels and my character is done, stat-wise :)

It's actually my favourite weapon to use on Hunters. The short blade R1 is very fast and effective against them. I killed two Hunters in a later area of the game so easily with it.

You can either
play it like a cover shooter, make it to him and kill him (or leave him), you can go past him without fighting
or
Ignore this area for now and come back with the Black Church armor set which apparently makes him friendly. I don't know firsthand. I murdered him.
How do you get black church armor?

I'm there now in the second part, just opened the 2nd shortcut. It's my favourite area af the game so far, the atmosphere is amazing.
Yea, it's so damn cool. Love that it's like a huge maze aswell with a
broken down village, traps, items everywhere
etc. Loving it!

Second shortcut?
Not the one at the lampost in the beginning right? So where's the second :O

lol Im at the F

with a shit ton of echoes and scared as fuck because I cant find a shortcut to the lamp. Also I just found a dude
that transformed in some kindf of snake/hydra/fucking weird shit
. Creeped me out.

Can someone list all the weapons that are good for characters with high SKILL and low STR stat?

I know only of Threaded Cane and Blades of Mercy.

Sorry Sheng, I grabbed it and didn't think it was anything special so I don't really remember where it is specifically.

So are you in the process of putting a ring on it, or what?

Also, huge picture is huge. Could you put it in quote tags on your post to spare the poor people using their phones?

I finally beat the S
hadows
of Y
harnam
at level 20 with my trusty cane. All it took was two successive hits to kill me.
I relentlessly went after the last guy who just dodged around in a circle and hit him as he came out of it each time, refusing to let him summon the damned snakes.
THAT FELT INCREDIBLE.

At lvl 20, wow nice good work! :D

Does the spoiler tags not work when its linked or something? looked ok to me.

It does, but when you click the spoiler tag (without a link inside),you can see what's hidden behind. If there's a link behind and you click the spoiler tag, it automatically shows the youtube video, without seeing what was hidden first (unless you hold the left click and highlight it)
