Late game question

Just beat Micolash, have I got much left :o? Also fuck those things that make you frenzy, trying to cross this bridge and getting demolsihed

What is this cheese method? He is giving me trouble :(

blunderbuss him off the edge, couple of shots will do. After he falls, to get the loot, from the options menu log out of the game, will take you back to the SCEA and FROM screen then log in again, you'll be at the same place you logged out with the loot at the gattling gun.

I unlocked the lamp after this boss fight. But it wont let me teleport me there from the hunters dream. It also wont let me teleport to the previous lamppost in chadwick lane.. Is my game bugged?

no, just use the second tombstone :)

I just bet the (second tombstone spoiler)
Hemwick witches. I scouted the area fairly well on the way over. Is there anything else to do here?

I have a bad feeling it's time to fight Darkbeast Paarl.

Paarl's a piece of cake. You've got this.

Stake Driver is nice but the range is short. Its retracted R2 charge is fucking insane and stupidly difficult to let charge to full.

At the same level not counting gems it does less damage than saw cleaver and has a shorter range. R2 charge is some serious shit though. Won't be able to pull it off on enemies without a stun, and in that case your standard crit is worth more as it leaves you invulnerable while doing it over a standard weapon charge.

yeah just saw the moveset video on youtube, i think the cons weigh much more than the pros (looks badass) lol

I never actually tried to teleport back there, actually. It's a dead end. Try walking there, I've had that happen when a sidequest event is taking place in an area.

Oh man that
Amelia
fight. I'm playing with headphones and her screams literally sent shivers down my spine. Beat her my first try using the Ludwig Blade. The BSB fight was a good primer; her attacks were easy enough to dodge and she'll leave self vulnerable for rear attacks. When she stops to heal be in a position to make her pay for it.

Damn it! I just killed the crow hunter lady while trying to backstab the hunter she was fighting in
Father Gascoigne's
room. :(

So far I've killed 4 bosses
Cleric Beast, Gascoigne, Blood Starved Beast and the Witch of Hemwick
and decided to lvl up a bit to 40 now. Just got Ludwig's too...I'm in love with it.

I think I know where
Vicar Amelia
is but I got kidnapped by a dude with a sack...

Man, this game!

Is it best to face
Amelia
directly after defeating the
Hemwick Witches
? Or are there more optional areas to explore beforehand?

Nope! My PvE character will never stop leveling. Currently level 143.

Vit: 50 (cap)
End: 40 (cap)
Str: 40 (50 is cap)
Skill: 50 (cap)

10 more levels and my "build" is done.
Yoshi you seem like someone who knows a lot about this game and the series. If I want to prep for PVP and the meta, would it be wise to make a character now and level it to a low 50 or 60? Since PVP meta will probably be a lot higher than that

The outfit its worth, although you get a similar one stat-wise somewhat near you are
in the sewer parts of the city
(it's the one of the box art)

Buy the badge at the Hunter's Dream and open the door near the Cathedral lamp, the one with that friggin tall dude with an axe patroling through the stairs

I think I found enough shard to get the cane to +2 before the fight. I mostly kept my distance - let him come to you and after he finishes an attack, go in for a few hits. Try to keep to his side or back if you can and the camera lets you. I didn't feel the whip mode was very useful outside of switch combo attacks. And bring some molotovs.

Thank you both, will give it another go after work.

yeah been doing that for a while but i always fuck up when he start spamming the "dropping bodies from the sky" attack :/
Just hit him to or three times then side step, even if you don't see him do it, sometimes you also just have to back off and let him to his thing

you guys say that the
password door
is in those alleys at the bottom of the
pit in healing church workshop
? I cant find any door :/
Left door from cathedral ward, go upstairs, through gate at the top, hang a left in the circular courtyard (not as soon as you enter), follow down and keep left the whole time.

Question. I just defeated the
Blood-starved Beast
. As soon as I dealt the last blow, I died but hes been defeated. I ran back, picked up my Blood Echoes and lit the lamp.

Does the boss drop anything or did I miss something because I died right after I defeated him?

Who was it?
Have you played other Souls games? The dude is a bald white faced man with a high pitched voice

Also, for the record that's the best part of the game so far. Especially if you get to it before forest. That whole are is just the most unsettling thing, and the way you get there too.

that is not where I am at all! :D

All bosses in NG+ = down!

Time for the final one
and the final, final one :)

I'm at:

50 Vitality
40 Endurance
30 Strength
25 Skill
25 Bloodtinge
40 Arcane (fucking pointless, Arcane items are trash, don't do it).

Super wish I could put that Arcane exp into other stuff now! Will probably get my Strength, Skill, and Bloodtinge all to 50. Bloodtinge is actually decently useful for the Katana.

Why do I feel that th Hunter armor set you can buy for echos at the bath merchant in the Hunters Dream is the best overall set that I have got and I'm level 33. I bought both sets from the insight dealer, found the doll set, and one other set and nothing is as good.

It's gorgeous, ain't it? I wish I went there when the sun was still up.
Indeed. I gotta try that too.

The night/day really adds something cool to the game. I was wondering why enemies at Cathedral Ward weren't there anymore and then I realized that it was night now :)

It doesn't hurt to create a character and level VIT/END to their caps because that's basically going to be essential to PvP. The other stats, however, are unsure at the moment. We'll have to wait and see what the PvP-meta catches up to.

Oh yeah. That boss is the pinwheel of Bloodbourne.
It really is

I kept waiting for the real boss to appear.
I was waiting for
a huge soot creature to pop up

I thought the way they handled
having two witches at a time was neat. I thought I wasn't doing damage, only to realise I was attacking another witch.

Not hard at all, but novel.
It's only hard if people fight back the soot creatures. Other than that, it was pretty much easy.
And there being two caught me off guard. Was busy dealing damage to the lantern wielding one when I got caught in the other's spell-binding attack and was like "the fuck?!"

WOW THIS GAME
In the 4th level (cathedral workshop)
I got a shortcut by falling a lot, defeated a werewolf, i found some gear to infiltrate as one of the enemies, didn't use it... and when the group spouted me i got insteat-death, i thought i was going to revive in a safe spot, then i woke up in an unknown place which was some old jail, with enemies that could 1 shot me (probably an endgame area i think?) got plenty of painful deaths until i realized how could i easily stagger them, i was brave enough to go deeper on this area and not fleeing from the obvious exit, found a torch, more of these enemies, two big pigs that didn't get me for 0,0001 seconds after i started running away, got powerful items to improve my weapons further and many souls... this is so much fun

Here's the vid: https://youtu.be/z8ySv93YS-g (running away from some pig)

The different armors just seem to be made for different uses instead of getting better overall with each one you find. It's fine with me honestly.

This is now in my top ten and I think I'm about halfway. Setting plays a big role in how memorable a game is to me and I've never played a game with environments like this. The atmosphere is beyond incredible and the game is so much fun to boot. The Hemwick stretch is art personified.

err just noticed the
hunter lady with the beak
is hanging out outside the church, she said
not to go down to the tomb because that's her mark
...err sorry lady thats long done O_o

I guess ive borked that sidequest? I had to talk to her before going down there or something?

The
Forest
password door you get after VicAm? That's the only one I know of and I've been to basically all of the areas.

I guess? I killed
Darkbeast Paarl
and now I have no fucking clue what to do

Nah, do it again! I actually messed it up, but not until later haha.

Use the pistol instead of the blunderbuss, hold circle when climbing up the ladder, and mash L2.

And you don't qctually have to go to Old Yharnem at all haha
Well the game explains fuck all on where to go. Like I don't mind mystery, but a lack of explanations of the mechanics and story are just plain lazy.
