covenant rune? One of the green ones. that might be the reason why it's not working..
Hmm, oh so you have to be in that particular covenant for the rune to work?
Radicane - Executioners under Logarius' command". Any idea what covenant this is?

Just maxed out my character!

With this level for your PVE character do you think it will be easy to for people to do dungeons with or do you think a PVP character would inherently also be a dungeon/chalice character?

You guys did the unique password thing...? otherwise might be the servers, lots of people had problem yesterday and this is the first weekend for the game.

Used passwords, had worldwide turned on even though we are both aussie, stood next to each other for 10 minutes tried several times.

I can't be summoned by anyone, he can't summon anyone else either.

Fucking pretty frustrating.

If you are going to make friend codes, just let me invite them ffs.

how did you get it? You should get it after finishing Alfred's quest but it seems like you didn't.

it's the Executioners covenant, after you finish his quest and equip the rune you're in.

yup, that's how the 3 covenants work now.

Well, with my PvE character I'll probably end up being much higher level than the "standard" Bloodborne-character.

My PvP character will stay on the level that everyone is at.

by the way the password for the
forbiden woods
was "
fear the old god
"

old gods
is usually
cthulhu / lovecraft
talk (even in world of warcraft lol), am I about to be
cthulhu'ed
? :p

Wasn't
Fear the old blood
?

Any one else getting disconnected and kicked to the main menu after using the beckoning bell? I wasted 2 insight because of this and I'm afraid to try for the 3rd time.
It really shouldn't use the insight until after someone joins you imo :(

I finally solo'ed the S
hadow
of Y
harnam
boss after a few hours of trying off and on.

I usually went with a tank build in the Souls games so it feels pretty damn good to have solo'ed 4 out of the 6 bosses I've fought so far.

how do you even play co-op in chalice dungeons?

can you join a random dungeon from another random dungeon or you have to be in the same one to being able to play together?

Just went to test it out, so I bought a ton of crap with my insight to bring it down to 11. Went to Hemwick and that thing still got summoned.. I don't know. Maybe it's From's way of punishing me for getting the game early. lol

As for the altered weapons/attacks others have noted afterwards, that's pretty interesting! However, I was specifically talking about enemy placements. :p Some people were mistakenly attributing some story progression changes (
like the giant enemies in Cathedral Ward kneeling after it becomes nighttime
) to the amount of insight - that specific example is even on a wiki I read last night.

I think the dudes in Hemwick just spawn around that area after
you kill the witch.

Oh wooow...

I was ready to quit attempting E
brietas
since I ran out of blood vials. I was going to just die to the boss to respawn at lantern. Whaddya know I kill it without a single vial O___o

Can you have multiple characters at the same time?
Also you said maxed out, but could you if you wanted also increase bloodtinge and arcane?

Kneeling enemies is because of story. Ghosts appearing in Henwick area is insight.

This game needs quality of light improvements. Like resting on the lantern to refill vials/ammo and respawn enemies. And the ability to warp to another lantern without going back to the hunter's dream.

you are missing 33 arcane
You mean for the shit gimmick stuff? The only thing that I require is 15 arcane for slightly quicker rolls, that's it. The rest is trash for this character.

Maxing out, meaning every level from now on will be greatly unnoticeable in comparison to my previous levels.

Just defeated chadwick witch. Where do I need to go now?

Its a side quest area. Did you take the Rune thing in the shed behind the lamp? Equip runes in the Nexus. Then I'd go for Eileen at the Cathedral Ward and Oedon temple spawns for the rewards.

You'll need to use VA's reward somewhere in the Cathedral to progress.

There's one area in Cathedral Ward with a locked door.
To get to it you go around a circling staircase down some stairs after fighting the big guy with the ball and chain, and I believe that's where you get the blood
gem contract or something earlier in the game?
Does this door ever open?

just joking ;) is the quicker roll the
shadow step
from the trailer? think I missed it on my first playthrough, where can I find it?

Yep, the Ward. Interesting. Should I be randomly running back to doors marked "Closed." to check following bosses?

If you would have talked to Gehrman after BSB, he tells you to go to the top of the chapel and I think you're presumed to believe that you're following him up there. He unlocked the door.

Guys has anyone tried to fortify the shield a couple of times to see if it gets better? Or is that not possible. I'm just at the start of the game, so just curios.

HOLY JESUS MARIE, (second boss spoiler):
I just beat Father before he managed to transition to beast-phase!
