After a good night sleep, decided to take on the G
attling Gun
H
unter
, and decided to do as someone suggested:
GO up and shot him off the biulding.

Well, I got up there, and when I was going to shoot,
he turned back and double shot me, makign me fell of the biulding and die.

SIgh...

rofl lmao dont stay near the edge yourself, immediately roll forward next to him

Alright, I'm at the end of the game. Time for my final impressions.

Like

It looks amazing
The atmosphere is thick
Sound design is so good that i need to turn it down to not be distracted
The world is better put together than any other souls game - everything links perfectly
Chalice dungeons
Exploration - The world is huge and I genuinely want to see all of it

Don't like

The combat - an overemphasis on offense makes combat inconsistent
The health system - estus was a step forward, this is a big step back
Load times - have seen load time anywhere from 10 seconds to a solid minute

It is well deserving of its 9+ scores. It is EASILY the best game released for this generation. But... I still prefer Dark Souls.

He's the furthest I've reached on my Chalice Dungeons too. I've fought him a few times and decided he's just kinda cheap. Especially that 360 blood move.

I would run to his back and bait him into his 360 move. Then I'd run in and get a hit in. That's how I took him on.

Asking again.

I'm rocking a Cane+4 and wondering what other skill based weapon options are out there. I don't mind pumping points into strength in the future, maybe a hybrid type weapon.

Fuggin hail. Well I've got 3 areas I can go to.
One is Cainherst castle, but the first enemy there completely wrecked me. Second is Nightmare Frontier, but I got shrek'd again cause it's the new forest covenant area. Third is the hidden village which turned into hell thanks to the trio of douchebag hunters who replaced the sackmen. I can't kill those hunters and I'm having a hard time with Paarl too. I could just bypass those hunters, but I don't like leaving hunters alive.

On a positive note I got the
plague doctor mask for completing the huntress's story. And I gave that girl in the window the red messenger ribbon. Don't know if her story continues at all.

Just wondering if I did these bosses in the wrong order:
1. Witch of Hemwick
2. Vicar Amelia
3. Blood-starved Beast

Also, after I killed Amelia I got to the Nightmare Frontier. Did I get there too early?

Ok, so I completely missed the little girl in the window
that gives the music box and already beat FG some time ago. I went back there to see if I can send her to a safe zone. Instead, I get a guy who gives me a Tonsil Stone (I already know what to do with it). I went back there again later and this time I found the little girl, but her dialog just repeats about wanting her mom or something. I came back again and there's no response. No music playing anymore either. So did I miss out on saving her then?

BSB with three bullets and two vials in NG++? Let's try this shit out.

I need to use the toilet so bad but i cant stop playing!!

Oh wow the boss from the ign videos got nerfed bad lol

(
Electric creature, thought it was a boss fight set in a cavern from what i remember but i fought him in an open area and it went down damn fast)

Also fuck that camera

How do you get it?
If I'm not mistaken:

Get to the queens castle -> loot the note. Give the note to Alfred in the Cathedral Ward-map, return to Queens castle. Loot the corpse -> kill Alfred. Go to Dream, you can now buy it.

I have 3 weapons at level 8 and I don't think I'll get any of them to level 9. I only need two areas left I think (
Nightmare of Mensis and that one optional area with Amygdala).
I kinda doubt I'll find 8 or more Blood Stone Chunks in just those areas and farming the werewolves in the
Upper Cathedral Ward
is difficult because they're a pain to kill and very rarely drop them.

You don't have to go that far.
I just did it and only gave the note to Alfred. I was able to buy it after that.

Ugh, so I got summoned into a world and right as we are about to travel the fog, we get invaded. But since we went through, Im not sure where the invader went

Thanks for the reply, I should be getting it any minute now.
It scales really good. The first upgrade (+1), it goes from STR C to B.

You can make the
douchebag trio
follow you to a one on one fight and
they will not respawn

Just did 2nd boss- I am still new to this series and not trying to exaggerate or embellish but holy shit this game has caused me to improve or GTFO

Only took me 3 tries and I almost had him on 2nd but I got lazy in some kind of comfort level where I got used to the initial pace, I was dropping his health and was surprised by that transform. He insta-wrecked me.

3rd try was perfect. Used long-axe phase one and mowed him down quick then went short for phase two for gun-parry/R1 stabby, and I was right on him as he transform and kept going, after just two of those vicious stabs he was dead. Very satisfying..

Hey I am curious, am I supposed to meet someone before I go kill the 3rd boss or am I supposed to just engage 3rd boss and not kill it? I don't mind spoilers I just don't wanna mess up and miss out on the good loots from crow-lady.
Also I was watching a twitch stream and the guy actually killed that crow-lady after helping her, chat talked him into it, I think they trolled him saying he would get her daggers.

Well, I beat the game! Don't think I made a very good decision at the end...

Overall I think it was amazing. It's too soon to make a full assessment but in terms of a first impression it feels to me as good as dark souls 1. It's is certainly not without faults but the atmosphere through pretty much the whole game was just incredible.

Playtime was 38 hours. I did a lot of exploring and backtracking to try do side quests and find secrets. I messed some stuff up but I'm pretty sure I saw all the bosses and areas. Found the difficulty about the same as the other games, as in I died quite a lot haha!

I will do a proper write up of my thoughts on the game later.

Saved chalice dungeons and pvp for my second character which starts right now!

Edit: Welp, turns out I missed something big near the end.
Secret final boss
. Next time...
