Shadow of Yarnham
down and 1 shot because it was by far the easiest boss so far O_o

I was terrified at first because
fuck multiple enemy
bosses, but this one was easy as shit

I have a problem in the Forbiden Forrest, i have unlocked the shortcut thats to the right of me, but when i step on the elevator, it won't go down. Is this a big or is there a thing that i do wrong?

So. . Got to Rom
seems like beating him is just a matter of tremendous patience? Run far away, maneuver around the small spiders, hit him once or twice, rinse and repeat? There doesn't seem to be any other viable tactic. If there is, enlighten me GAF :)
Nah that's what I did haha

you can tell when he goes on his back or when he starts acting up. I tried both Frie Paper and applying bolt to my weapon. Spiders jump too which do a lot of damage. Otherwise you can charge swing with an axe and take two or three out at once

Oh man...the
Unseen City
is pretty hard. All those
respawning mobs
are really messing with me. How can you possibly go through that area? Always killing the
bell women
first seems like a tremendous chore and everything but easy.

Any Tips?

After a while I just did yolo deathruns through the area and unlocked shortcuts and lamps. Then I went back to some missed items and collected. I never killed anything that wasn't blocking my path. That place is so weird, the whole game teaches you patience and careful examination of surroundings, and then throws this area at you where patience is more lethal than speedrunning it.

Just started the game this morning. Absolutely love the combat, everything is so heavy and satisfying. Miles better than the souls games.

At first I did get a little frustrated, even though I've played all the Souls games, but at the point where I was a little concerned with how little progress I was making it all came together. Figured out best methods to take out all the mobs, unlocked a shortcut that took me straight to the first boss and unlocked the ability to level up.

The first boss destroyed me first time because I got myself stuck but I took him out the second time. Great boss. I felt like a badass.

Second boss was also amazing but took me 3 attempts to beat him. The fights in this game are incredible.

Only downside so far is that I had surgery on my jaw a few days a go so when I look back on Bloodborne I may end up associating it was searing facial pain. :p

Taking a break now to rest -_-

I took down the
spiders then went for Rom
, it was pretty easy with them out of the way.

So I bought a PS4 today for the sole reason of, well, Bloodborne. They should arrive Monday.

This is the second time From has gotten me to purchase a PlayStation for their games (Thank you, Demon's Souls). I don't regret the PS3 one bit, nor do I feel I will the PS4.

Regardless, it's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. My Wii U has great games that I enjoy playing with my daughter. My gaming PC can handle pretty much anything I throw at it and, with it, I can enjoy my multi platform games better than a console can do. I have been a PC gamer first and foremost, going on almost 30 years. I have been fortunate enough to own most consoles as well, due to an unending love of something new and random and a desire to play with friends.

That being said, There's just something about From's world building, sense of exploration, interconnectedness and balance of risk versus reward that I have enjoyed since the King's Field games. At least I can't blame them for the PS1 purchase, that was all Capcom and Resident Evil and PS2, well, God Hand tipped me into that world.

I shall wait, patiently, for another chance to forge a path in a brutally hostile world and die trying. Praise the From!

Any end-game players here?
I've done it all except
Gehrman and the secret real final boss, I guess? I have the umbilical cords.
I grinded the chalice dungeons all day and they really get tedious fast. Does high amount of insight affect them very much? Is there any info about
the "Blood Queen of the Old Labyrinth"
?
It has been a great ride so far, but the chalice dungeons... Ugh, too much of the same thing.

I made a friend lol.

So gaf I am at that circular room that
has a giant spectral guy scoop you up and kill you if you try to cross it. How do I proceed?

Any hints on where to go after the 3rd boss? I feel like I've explored every hidden area of the map I can think of and still no dice on where to go.

I did get to a bonus area by
getting killed by a strong enemy and subsequently kidnapped
but something tells me that this is a bonus area rather than the critical path... plus that area's boss is a nightmare for me at the moment.

I did that in the beginning, untill he started
spamming magic missiles. From that point on I just bumrushed him untill he died while dodging spiders and keeping my HP up.

Come back later. Once you beat the 4th boss (and enter the
forest
you should check out the area beneath the chapel again

This
Vicar Amelia
fight is brutal. Need to farm for more blood vials before attempting again. One time I got close to defeating her, don't know what I did different that time. Very difficult to dodge her attacks.

I dare you to get caught in their close-ranged-grab. That was the first time I died of madness.

I did, he caught me and barely hurt me. his status thing he was doing only went halfway too, I guess because of the set im using maybe?

Took down cleric beast 2nd try. Absolutely loving the game. Is there a good place to farm echoes and / or upgrade materials straight from here?

I defeatedher
Queen
today, you just have to progress to the final pthumerian chalice.

I've killed
BSB, Amelia, and the witches. Should I have already been to a forest? Closest thing to that was the area up to the witches.

they change quite a bit over time. I found a few new enemies. Did you do all the chalices? Some are the same, but there are side doors to open. I think that's because the location is the same for the first three dungeons. Did you fight the guy with the scythe? He has a twin scythe? He killed me and I could get his health to half in two giant swings. He's just fast and he hits hard

NG+
I bought the scythe and already got it to +9. Now I need to add more to my skill. I also got the wheel and am just short of having that +9, too.

The door to the right in the
Cathedral after Odeon's Tomb
should be open, that leads to new places.

uhhh did the game get patched ?

I was farming to and fro from the hunter's dream ,and I could swear Load times are hella quicker.

Unless this game is successfully screwing my perception of things.

I got SO many new runes in forbiden woods, its ridiculous. quick question:

are visceral attacks the ones with the special animation, or the charge moves? surely not the charges moves, or this rune that gives you 200hp after a visceral attack is OP

just your perception

I did explore that place. Going to the top led me to a locked door, and going to the bottom just leads to me falling to my death. Perhaps I need an item to open the door?

Is it still worth it to level your primary attack skill to 40? Cause I'm thinking of doing that. Getting skill to 30, really made my Cane hit much harder.

Surely depends on how the weapons scale with the stats. If the cane at +10 scales A on strength, I think spending a couple of points in it even if you hit the softcap will be noticeable.

Dont get my hopes up man.
