wait for him to douse his katana in blood. This will drain his hp by 29 damage per second. He will return to normal after a few attempts on your life and his life will stop draining. But when he does start draining his health, just run outside the cathedral and the AI won't know to return to normal. Thus he dies from his own blade.

I'm officially out of Blood Vials. I had over 40 in storage before taking on Blood Starved Beast. Nearly five hours on him so far

I know exactly what to do, that final phase just ends me immediately.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a glitch or something. I've fought that dude a lot and literally never been poisoned. The little poison marker fills up like 1/32nd of the way every once in a while, but that's it.

Wear poison resistant clothes!

I'm surprised by this as well, considering I've looked/spoken to everyone and everything two playthroughs in a row. I'll be looking at a guide for the remaining weapons that I have left. I bet it's a weapon that requires something to do with a covenant never really bothered with the covenants.

I am pretty sure some of the weapons are only acquired through Chalice (like the Beast Claw).

You can buy them for 1 Insight at Hunter's Dream (there's another bath water above the main one), or you can find them - I found like 4 while exploring that area where you meet

If you killed that boss you should be directly teleported to where you're supposed to go.

The password system is broken. Getting summoned to help out random people with killing bosses works flawlessly for me. Something that couldn't be said about Dark Souls summons.

She says "I only wanted to help" when she dies, but the fact that she has a rune that pays tribute to an ancient being of blood sacrifice, and the fact that she lives in his church in the first place, makes me skeptical. Best case scenario, she's a case of malpractice. Actually, what happens if you kill the monster and leave the old lady alive? Hmmm
