So what do you do with the items? I've entered NG+ now though, so I may be screwed at checking any of this stuff out off the bat.

You use all 3 before fighting the last boss in hunter's dream, and you get another boss after and real/true ending

So the room with the circular altar in the middle and a large door behind it (following the right path before VA).
When you approach the door a giant ghost hand grabs you and kills you.
I've got a bunch of blood echoes now by the door that I can't get. How is this room cleared?

This frigging game. Everytime I think I have it figured out I find some crazy path or hidden area. Was exploring the F
or bidden Woods
and found a path that lead all the way back to
Iosfeka's Clinic
. Was saying "WTF" almost the entire time, had to make a video of it.

Tough to pick between this and dark souls 1 + dlc in terms of which has the best bosses but I think I give the edge to bloodborne.

Ok. I just more or less shit my pants.
The Forbiden forest snake monsters
are. HORRIFIC.

Also. The boss there
(the three dudes in black
slaughtered me twice. Really hard. Any tips for them? Also what sort of level is appropriate to fight them?

That is the least spoiler image I've seen. All it has is the boss name. Some people here aren't even using spoiler tags..
Or they're not saying what the spoilers are. I'm pretty sure I got the last boss spoiled for me because the day after launch (when most people were still spoiler tagging Father G and stuff) said all casually "Just beat ______". I clicked it, I regretted it.

Label your spoilers, people. If not for me, for the children.

Ugh. Have a gem that ups physical Attack by 12.6% but the weapon durability penalty is so not worth it. Had to spend 500 echoes from killing just 6 enemies to repair my weapon. The weapon was repaired prior to that and it only cost me 94 echoes. I have another gem that ups physical attack by 8.3% but my overall attack goes down by 2.3%

Both gems are Cursed Tempering Blood Gemstone (2) with a rating of 5.

anyone up for Lower Hindertomb chalice dungeon? It's depth 3, I'm level 82.

Fucking alfred man

WOW when you give the unopened summons to Alfred he fucking demolishes Queen Annalise of Cainhurst. It's a pretty fucked up scene.
I loved that scene, hence I'll be playing with that covenant.
it's funny that you can actually (spoilers for that quest ending)
revive the queen, she's a zombie and all you know. meanwhile Alfred stays dead. :-(

I want to try to summon Alfred at the Cleric Beast fight for my second character. and see what/how he does

I still can't get 4th boss below 75% despite so many attempts. My tactics:
Vicar. Someone said to hit her arm she's resting on but the few times I did, it didn't stun her. Her hit box seems too large to successfully roll through and she attacks so fast. I'm very frustrated with this fight. Is she weak to fire or anything? Can I spam molotovs? :/

This is very close to my own ranking as well. Your top 3 are the same as my top 3.

Fourteen hours in (3 bosses down), and I feel like I'm still playing this game exactly like Dark Souls. I'm using the two-handed axe and dodging attacks. The gameplay feels exactly the same to me. I was under the impression that I would have to learn a new play style, but that has not been the case so far.

If you played Dark Souls offensively with no shield, then it's not that different, but Dark Souls allowed for many other different playstyles than that. Shield users would have to learn to be more aggressive in Bloodborne in order to take advantage of the regain system, for instance.

Very weak to fire. I've heard Firepaper makes the fight a lot easier.

- Runes seem way underpowered compared to what rings used to be which removes some of depths from builds.

I think it's a bit early to judge the depth of build for this game. We have incomplete list on the gems and weapon slots for Bloodborne. They can be very well change how pvp is played out. For example, the Caryll Rune I got from Eileen the Crow that speeds up my Stamina regain changed how I approached my combat as I can string more attacks with little reprieve in between making me more of a hit and run guy. Coupled that with poison enhancement for my weapon could probably start a poison build with the knives and shadow step artifact.

Are the npcs supposed to be this strong. In old yarham and my attacks do almost no damage. It doesn't help that some dude is
firing a chain gun at me from a tower

I found a gem that changes weapon scaling to Arcane, and a gem that adds a ton of poison damage. And a gem for guns only that add 12.5% more damage.

bless my summon
I just died and they managed to finish off the BSB just in time

How much insight do you have? I'm also there and had to level up a bit, I think I can take everyone out but not done exploring yet.

Amelia
went down a lot faster than i thought she would. I'll be damned if
her healing
wasnt annoying though.

So what's the general consensus on Alfred?

Sick, crazy guy?

Just sent the Old Lonely Woman to the Clinic instead of the Chapel.
Got the reward and heard Iosefka's creepy laugh. Yep, not doing that ever again.

When does (sidequest spoiler)
Eileen go fight the dude at the tomb? She's just standing around the Cathedral Ward right now.
advance with the story and when you can't access the lantern of the tomb anymore it means that she's there. same for the second event.

by the way, where is she at the Cathedral Ward? I never spoke to her there.

Only 4 lol. Talking specifically about the
hunters
. The monsters I have no issues with so far. Could be I just suck. :)

Level 25ish I think
20 vit
15 end
15 str

So I'm fighting the second boss and I'm using the gravestones to separate us so I don't have to worry about his blunderbuss for the most part but when he changes in can't time his attacks correctly to parry and riposte him and the environment is screwing up my evasions and the camera is screwing me up. Should I lead him up the stairs to have a clear area to evade and not have to fight with the camera as well as have better light to see what attacks are coming? On attempt 15+ and can't summon help since insight is only 7

Disclaimer: Not specifically late game, and contains no real spoilers but only a person who has completed or is near completion can answer this probably.

I've been trying to figure out a door that still hasn't opened in my game
and I'm nearly complete. So in the Cathedral ward there's one of those giants with a ball and chain (the only one with a ball and chain I believe) in a circular plateau. Down the stairs there are a ton of urns, and a chest down a passageway. Next to the chest is a door. It has said "closed" the entire game and it's just taunting me. Does it ever open?

I gotsta know.

Oh and I'm about to start playing again I stopped near
The women in white in Mergo's area, Any reason I should or shouldn't kill her?

Why do people like the BSB and Vicar fight? These bosses AI is garbage. I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but all you need to do is dodge left, swing twice, repeat 20 times. There is no thinking involved and the fights are effortless. A lot of the bosses have some really bad AI loops in this game that completely trivialize them.

I've been doing pretty much the same thing I did in Dark Souls as well. The dodge feels like it's way better here though, so it's pretty easy to avoid a lot of attacks.

So has anyone found and fought (Chalice Dungeon spoilers) Y
harnam the
P
thumerian
Queen?
.
I cannot find her anywhere.

Straight from the Cathedral Ward lamp up the stairs and immediately left.
And I can't access the lantern at the tomb anymore but she isn't moving. Hmm. Maybe something to do with the way I cleared the Cathedral Ward? I didn't buy that 10k badge to unlock the gate.
