So. . .
nightmare frontier. Got to the boss, but died. Coming back seems REALLY long, even by Souls standards. I opened up that one shortcut (green slab near the beginning) but I'm still having to go all the way down and around past the mind flayer, etc. Am I missing a shortcut?

Having zero luck getting summoned for BSB. It's especially annoying that the person I'm trying to help loses Insight each time it doesn't work. I'm not sure why they'd implement that if online isn't working.

I'm in
Iosefkas Clinic
trying to unlock Cainhurst Castle. Supposedly you get a
summons
here, but I can't find it. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

Is there a way to restore health outside of teleporting back or the vials? I've ran out of them and I have hardly any health left. I've cleared so many enemies D:

I bet people who are used to these games would have got to the same point in like half an hour haha :'(

You can also attack enemies right after being hit to regain what you've lost.

Just beat
Amelia in the massive room at the top of the stairs. What will have unlocked in terms of new areas?

Also, I'm strictly playing offline. How do I get into a chalice dungeon and what do I gain from trying one? What are the risks?

About the special ending
On my original playthrough, i didn't get a cord from Ioesfka in the clinic when i killed her, i read that i might have killed her too soon ? Like i needed to wait until i killed Rom before going there ? Also the whore died in my game so no cord from there too. I only ended up with the mandatory one from the wet nurse and the one from the alternate/real hunter's dream. Anyone know a 100% way to get all 3 or 4 before the end of the game so i don't waste my time running through it all again for nothing! Thanks

You have to go to the clinic after Rom, yes. You'll see her bent over on a table and then you just kill her and get a cord. I never did the sidequest with the whore.

Does anyone know a good place for Bloodstone Chunks? I need them.

Oh by the way I'm a little bit late bringing this one up but anyone notice the big guys early on can do a decoy attack? I don't remember seeing these much in dark souls so is this common or only on those enemies?

When you're at boss door, turn around, and look to the left. Go up that winding path to an elevator.

Holy shit, where's the next lamp after the Cathedral Ward? I got all the way to the top where there's the huge door and two routes on the left and right.

Goo on?

I started on the second floor, soo...I mean, yes, Ive been to both, but starting on 1?

Also- anyone want to rush the chalice dungeons with me?

You need to get the Tonsil Stone and then get grabbed by Amygdala in the church down and to the left of the Grand Cathedral.

Is there a consensus best place to farm vials? A lot of times I'm just using extra souls to buy them to save time but that seems like a waste

The beginning of
Forbidden Woods
is good. If you're not there yet the best place is Central Yarnham on the run to
Father Gascoigne

Fighting the
hunter in the Grand Cathedral for the Eileen the Crow quest
is arguably the most difficult thing I have fought so far in the game. How did you guys go about it?

There's a path to the left after coming out of the chapel that leads to a new area and by examining the skull after the fight you learn the password to get through the door the cathedral ward.

To get your first chalice you need to beat the blood-starved Beast, and then you set it on one of the tombstones in the Hunters Dream for 1000 echoes. You get items, weapons, and I believe armor as well. There is no risk since the areas are small and the lamps are plentiful.

early farming spot for blood vials is the way left from central yharnam lamp to father g.
brick guys give you 2 vials almost every time. then the brick guy at the burning ball amd the two enemies looking at a body close to father g. run can net you 10 blood vials. At least 4.brick guys are super easy to parry. shoot them when they raise the brick and hit r1 immediately for insta kill.

I don't fucking get it

I just don't

The W
itch
is the only boss I'm suddenly dying to over 2-3 times each playthrough. It was a joke on NG. Suddenly they've got mad fucking coordinations and their fucking spells are insane... what the cunt is going on?

So my weapon is at risk. How do I repair it?

I beat the Father and am trying to kill the gatling gun dude in old Yharnam. Where do I have to use the blood gem workshop tool?

Anyone wanna co op?

Has anyone been doing chalice dungeons? Im on layer 3 of
Ailing Loran
just killed the chalice version of BSB and its insanely tough. For reference im lvl 105

Inside after you kill boss. Its really not that far though because if you unlocked the shortcut then its a quick run back to the smaller cathedral.

The answer to both of your questions is the same. You need to go to the house on the top on the hill in the Hunters Dream.

It shakes its head a bit before that one-shot attack. Generally it always does it once it jumps away from you when it's weak.
Using my cane + straight up setup, I didn't have much luxury to watch his visible cues. I learned most of his stuff by his pauses and the audio. I had to use the
pillars
to gain some protection. However, the
one-shot
is just overdone even if there is a visible cue. If they toned it back just 10-15%, it would have made a huge balance difference. One attack should not have more then a 200% increase over the rest of the arsenal, especially if it is a
one-shot
for those with expected vitality at that point in the game.

It could have been done better is all.

The next boss is insanely hard. I killed him with poison knives after he started phase 2. I'm level 90.
