For those that are having trouble getting co-op and PVP to work it appears there is an issue when you use suspend/resume on the PS4. You need to close the application and re-launch it to get it to connect to the servers properly again.

Just discovered this after wasting tons of insight and getting repeatedly kicked to the lobby.

Holy fuck, I cannot kill E
ileen in the Grand Cathedral. I almost had her last time, but her attacks are really powerful and she dodges fairly quickly.

Hahaha Amygdala just trapped me and a beckoner in a corner,
shaking her head to throw that damaging stuff on the ground, then she lasered us.
:(

I'll try this now.

Yeah, this was mentioned earlier. Maybe it should be placed into the OP. Although I don't think people are checking that, either...

idk, Im staring at a circular room. It's after an idle white tall chick.

Oh youll be fine. Just make sure to jump attack, run away, jump attack, run away, etc

Youre at the end of the game, after this itll be the point of no return section

Yeaah, not happening >.> Because we're all this far into the thread :P

The art seemed like it was in a league of its own until
Rom and Byrgenwerth The enemies almost remind me of Chaos Eaters from Dark Souls. They look really silly and out of place. Kind of feel the same way about the snakes as well.
Really disappointed with that entire area.

i wish i could get
rom
down, i've tried SO many times today :(

game is wonderful so far. haven't ran into any of the sidequests yet. the summoning mechanic could use a bit of work since it just guzzles insight and doesn't seem to produce any summons/invasions.

lol 1 shot her :P

thanks!

The tradition continues: 1-2 shot every boss but 1 so far.

After you take out blood starved beast you are supposed to go back to that Cathedral room and open the door that was closed before right? Ud that he next bit? Will be taking on the boss in a bit and wanted to make sure.

I think if you go to the
Grand Cathedral and turn left as you exit you can run down to where the Cthulu Spider is, and run underneath him through the doorway to get there.
This worked, thank you. Would've taken me HOURS to figure this out by guesswork. I fucking love Neogaf :)

Do I really have to use the 2 hand form of Ludwig's Holy Blade for it to be good? The regular form seems so much worse than my Saw Cleaver and it is making me regret spending my twin blood stones in it.

Can someone explain me how exactly can I get summoned to random players to help? I have already beaten the 2nd boss, and at the options I set it to "no password" and "global".

Ah. Here, this has some spoilers, but whatever, youll probably miss this if you dont hear it from me.
The queen in cainhurst or wherever? Yeah, outside the forest, that guy...he wants her dead. Alfred? Give him the summons, he kills her. Then you take her flesh to the altar to revive her.

Thanks a lot!

So like at what point is there more story? I'm at
Vicar Amelia, already downed BSB.
So far the most plot direction I've gotten is the note from the messengers by the fireplace in the Dream. Like, I get
that the blood is corrupting and turning people into monsters... other than that I have no idea what's going on.
It's kind of frustrating, it's hard for me to stick with a game when I can't get with the plot. Not saying there isn't one, just I have no idea what it is at this point.

Man, you don't get diddly farts for souls from bosses in this game. I remember getting like 10-15k a pop on some of the easier bosses in DS, you get an insight (whoopee) and like, 4k in this for a pretty late game fight.

Yes, and that's why I sold it. I've never been any good with the heavy slow weapons. It hits like a truck but it's too damn slow. I need my Claymore.....

The plot in these games is delivered organically for the most part. Notes, item descriptions (ESPECIALLY item descriptions), environmental clues, and the occasional NPC conversation. There's not a lot of overt exposition.

Anyone? A way to prevent invaders with co-op aside from just not playing online?
When you use your co-op bells, a bell ringing woman will appear in the area and ring a sinister bell. It's this bell that lets invaders into your world.

If you kill the bell ringing woman, who is always in the same place, you will be safe from invaders.
