Any way to increase your max bullets? Everything I Want to do in this game uses them flagrantly and enemies don't drop enough to sustain my current playstyle without crafting after every encounter.

There's 4 Runes you can find in the game that increase it by +1/2/3/4. So if you equipped the 3 best ones you could get a total of +9 to max. Same with Vials.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it since the best use for them is your Gun. For example, here's how LAME the Arcane items are. I just used A Call Beyond, the item with the highest Stat requirement in the game at +40 Arcane, which uses 8 Bullets per use, on a Pack of 3 Crows outside of the Cathedral Ward in NG+. Guess how many it killed:

Zero. Not a single one.

I've got a huge WTF moment, scared the shit out of me. Forbidden Woods spoilers, has to do with a random npc you find...

So I found this weird guy on top of the building where you first see the snake people, and he was eating corpses. I talked to him and he asked me if I knew of a safe place, and I decided to answer no. For whatever reason, I have no idea, I decided to hit him. 18 hours in, he is literally the only npc I could talk to that i attacked... Well apparently he didn't like that because he turned into an electrical mini cleric beast. Like, wtf I never thought in a million years that would happen. I must have terrible luck, because he's the only npc that this probably happens. Anyone know what his name is?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Actually I
sent him to the church...and he ate the old lady it was glorious

I found the lamp
at the bottom of the elevator that I can't access yet.
Do I just have to sprint through the spears and take out everything in that building?

Yeah, you can just sprint inside. I read you can "hide" from it, but i said fuck it and just ran to the building with the giant spiders and her friends, once you get a shortcut (which isn't pretty far), you won't need to do the frenzy run

Yes, and that's why I sold it. I've never been any good with the heavy slow weapons. It hits like a truck but it's too damn slow. I need my Claymore.....

You'll get tons of stones, don't worry.

I am having success with it but I pretty much go two handed all the time.

Yeah. I struggle with it too. I seem to just do best with the saw cleaver. It's the best blend of speed and damage I've found so far.

This is how I felt at first, but now I always go 2 handed with the claymore part, as does so much damage!

I think I will use both weapons. The charged attack of the transformed Holy Blade is crazy good, but the speed of the cleaver can take out an enemy in 1 stamina bar.

Damn, I need a shit ton of Blood Echoes to buy
Eileen's gear.
Any idea how to get echoes quick? I'm guessing it's like the previous souls games where you just co-op until you're rich.

For those that are having trouble getting co-op and PVP to work it appears there is an issue when you use suspend/resume on the PS4. You need to close the application and re-launch it to get it to connect to the servers properly again.

Just discovered this after wasting tons of insight and getting repeatedly kicked to the lobby.

Suspend and resume in general or if you suspend and resume the game?

LATE GAME SPOILERS How the fuck do I get through the first area in
Nightmare of Mensis?
I just keep getting hit with spears out of nowhere, so I have to sprint to the nearest building.

Then I got the building and there were
giant spiders.
NOOOOOPE.

You have the hide behind the terrain and wait for the frenzy to go down. When you get to the spider room, go right and up the stairs and kill the bell maiden. Then run past the spiders and you'll meet a hunter. Run past him and go down the stairs and go right to find an elevator that will take you down to a lantern that you can then use if you die! :D

Yeeeesh.

I hit a bad progression wall.

I'm at:

Just killed the "three shadows" boss. Opened up the path to the fourth archstone, made it through the university and into Nightmare land. WAY TOO HARD.
Progressed ahead from the three shadows area into the mini-cuthulus with the church in the middle with a hunter that casts magic. WAY TOO HARD.

Am I missing something? Maybe some alternate paths on the

forbidden woods?

Old Yarnham mini-boss spoiler/musings.

Taking that
son of a bitch gatling gun guy out with a tricked out repeater pistol and watching him fall off the ledge, has been one of the highlights of this game so far.

Forbidden Forest and Rune
is a quick way. Enemies are easy once you learn their ambush spots and plentiful. A few brisk walks through and you should be set.

There's maybe some optional stuff you can do if you haven't, but you are on the right track
Where that hunter with the whip and the manor is

I made the mistake of letting him know about the safe haven where the others are and he started killing the other NPCs. I regret not killing him.

When you use your co-op bells, a bell ringing woman will appear in the area and ring a sinister bell. It's this bell that lets invaders into your world.

If you kill the bell ringing woman, who is always in the same place, you will be safe from invaders.

Are you positive she's always in the same place? I had heard she appeared in different spots.

If she always appears in the same place, then I supposed it'd be best to ring your summoning bell where she always appears so you can kill her right away? lol

Alright yoshi, apparently im an idiot, ive only killed the nurse, not sure where to go, at a dead end at the top of the tower.
In bed trying to sleep... can't even think straight. Can someone else pleqse help VinFTW?

Fell in love with the Kirkhammer due to the bastard sword even though I preferred the range form of the Hunter's Axe due to its reach and versatility. Ludwig is best of both worlds. The Greatsword packs a punch, even from at distance, and can sweep up mobs effectively. It's proven itself invaluable many times, especially in the V.A. fight.

I had a feeling that call beyond was lame, but so far I use the flamesprayer a lot, the old hunters bone constantly, and i enjoy picking off mob enemies with my upgraded pistol.

Anyone know why I can't equip items onto my messengers in NG+? In fact, all my items seem to have disappeared... I never found the area behind the church in the dream until just now and was told I could do that there.

So my storage is saying I have 99/99 of everything in it, but I only have Blood Vials and Quick Silver bullets in there. Does anyone know how to fix it? Missing out on tons of supplies.

Edit: Nvm, turning my PS4 off seems to have fixed it.

Jesus H Christ BSB has my number.

I've gotten really close, but now I'm out of antidotes and he kills me easily in the second phase.

I'm a strength build and am using the Axe for the reach.

Suggestions?

Welp, tonight was another "productive" one in this game. I can add the three deaths of
Rom, Iosefka, and the beggar turned electro-wolf
to list.

I'm now making my way through
Cainhurst Castle
and those jumping sonsofbitches outside of the main area are annoying as hell. I had to cheese many of my encounters with them. =/

He's fairly easy to parry, at least in the first stage. I'd recommend learning his tells and just relying on that. All of the 'normal' sized enemies are ridiculously susceptible to parries and the follow up visceral attack.

If they can't see you, they can't hit you. Use the big rocks as cover.

Also, the enemies in the area are so easy to parry. They will lift their left arms, and the moment they do, shoot them in the face. Insta-kill. Also, the shortcuts in the final area are so good and cut out a huge amount of backtracking. You're not there yet, but just remember you need to activate both before the obvious boss fight (i.e. sinister looking empty arena near a recognizable NPC).

Those
spiders are jobbers. The little ones take like two hits. afaik only the two on the bridge / one outside of it aggro you when you grab the daggers, after that they just hang out in there looking menacing.

Thanks! I made it to the elevator, yaaaaay.

Rom is kicking my ass and it's annoying because of that fucking projectile. How on earth do you evade that? 50/50 I get hit every time, and I have no blood vials.

What are good places to ring the Resonant Bell (before the third boss) to help people out with some co-op? I tried both before Cleric Beast and before the third boss and was never summoned after waiting 10+ minutes in each place.

Did you go into the actual cathedral itself? If so, you should have gotten information from the cutscene after that will allow you to enter a new area.

I stopped right after the boss yesterday and now I'm wandering aimlessly. I remember a cutscene playing from the boss prior but not this one.

Any hints appreciated.
