When they jump in the air dodge backwards. As long as they don't place their face over and around yours, they fight like most other melee. They are fast at recovering from attacks so rapid successive strikes seem to keep them from fully recovering between attacks. Watch your energy. If they aren't dead before you go oom use your last bit to dodge immediately from a counterattack after letting up.
I got lost in the forbidden wood. Found a cave with tons of bones. nope.jpg, but as clumsy as I am, I fell in. ohfuck. Poison lake. Snakes. This... thing. And that... other thing. I ran around like an headless chicken, then I saw this ladder. This ladder I climbed, for hours I climbed... And I was in the very beginning of the game, near Iosefka's clinic. I found access through the roof inside the clinc...
And then... then... Everything turned to shit in my head.
what the fuck where these giant flobby head thing ? where there survivors ? And Iosefka asked me to leave, where she conducting experiments on the people I was bringing her ? She attacked me, I killed her. Cursed the oblivious she whispered
question, im actually using it again now after not liking it at first. im at 25STR, but it scales with Skill (and arcane too), so if I get my skill up to 25, will the sword scale from both and get a lot stronger? same for arcane too I guess, but that seems like a shit stat to pump 25 in
Yes, the sword gets pretty good +damage from both Strength and Skill, you'd want both at 50 in the end. Arcane doesn't effect the physical damage on it at all. Arcane only matters when you use a Blood Gem to completely change the weapon's damage to Arcane/Fire/Bolt. I'm also fairly certain that it has little, if any effect on Fire/Bolt Paper and the Arcane Shell buff.
ok got the shortcut, that helps at least. thanks dude

Glad you found it. That zone has been my least favorite for various reasons and the shortcut really helped.
As for Ludwig's sword, yes you will get a good bonus from both STR and SKL. Like the same bonus from points in each up to the diminishing return on that stat. As for arcane, no. The arcane stat only works if the weapon has some form of arcane damage on it, like the weapons that have that natively, or if you use gems to turn your weapon into arcane instead of physical. If you do that you lose the benefit from the STR and SKL scaling though.

Why is it that Alfred/the executioners that serve Logarius hate Vile Bloods, if Logarius himself hides his beloved Vile Blood queen behind his throne? Why would Logarius hide his queen from his own servants? Why would his servants kill the queen?
Is everyone completely insane?
No one should be putting any points in arcane in its current state sadly. All of the arcane stuff sucks ass and consumes way too much QSbullets to be viable.
I'm super lost after not sleeping much this week and not playing in a few days. What do I do after BSB? I don't have enough souls to open that door and I don't really want to grind....

am i trying to evade people too much? i use it quite a lot but fairly frequently i find it's just a way to get blocked by a piece of scenery and pummelled. or am i expected to have cat-like reflexes and spatial awareness enough that i not only avoid all the monsters' attacks but also getting trapped behind a lamppost?
I killed it by staying unlocked for the whole fight (otherwise the camera goes to shit when it gets close to you). You need to watch out for its overhead slam that you need to avoid by dodging back. Apart from that, I'd dodge and run between its legs every time it started a combo. You can land a lot of hits while it's still hitting nothing with its combo.
Nothing left by bosses or certain NPCs will disappear if you port out (or die while killing it, did that a couple times). You can go back and pick it up.

From the cathedral ward lamp go right. You can now access the elevator and that will take you to a new area. The way to progress is down in that area, but there's some good stuff if you go up.

from the lantern back down to before you even get into the zone now with the door now opened (where the spitters and eventually the boss are). this just changes that instead of running down from the lantern, I now can take a lift down from a different lantern
I thought it would take me directly to the boss.
Im not blaming you btw lol, I guess I just misread
You can unlock it in your shop within the first hour of the game. The probability of you at that point killing the hunter that has the badge for it though? Less than 10%.

you need to jump off it mid ride to get to that middle area with the teleporter. Basically you can now start at the very start of the area, at the lantern at the start/top, not the church, then ride the lift down, jumping off halfway to get to the teleporter. Use the teleporter to get to the overpass area and just run along that to the end with the ladder, go down the ladder and run to the boss. It sounds complected but seems to be the shortest path there and you don't have to run past anything hard.
Edit: going out to get something to eat so if you have any other problems I may not be able to respond right away.
I don't think Yoshi is sleeping much. I remember him getting constantly slain by VA and then restarting the game(?). Next thing I know he's barreling through game after game.

ah I see I didnt know you could jump midway. I just ran all the way down to the boss now juking the spits (and failing a couple)...and then died to the boss again guess ill try that

It's either evade or die. Even after leveling up for over 30 hours, getting killed in one or two shots is still a common occurrence. There is little room for error in the Souls games, but I am finding it to be the case even more so here. No heavy protection armor and zero defense, other than quick-step and roll. It's just a much angrier, in your face and squash you like an insect experience. And if you try to hang back too much? Well, it's gonna fuck you there, too.
Just caught on fire and the Doll told me to go see Gherman at the foot of the great tree...the gate on the outer rim is now unlocked..is this the point of no return I've heard about Automatically going to NG+?
Beings you can blow through this game like a cool evening breeze while on a casual stroll in the park, I would very much like to know how effective you find a Bloodtinge build to be.
