These being in the 15th Ann Card Set threw me off at first:

Then I thought "Maybe I should watch the show in Japanese..."

Card distribution was weird. The first 2 english booster sets were everywhere I would get them at 7-11 (back when it was the place to get cards). I thought that was it, and then ranodomly came across a kiosk in a mall that sold series 3 blisters, but I was upset when they switched to CG-only images. I LOVED the art on the cards and would stare at the Japanese blisters all day on this one Geocities site (site still exists but none of the links work, sadly. Was nice with everything set up as starter decks, blisters, promos, etc). I still got a couple pack but was underwhelmed. Card quality changed too. I was even MORE surprised when years later they continued with booster packs into a series 4 etc that had Frontier characters in it, but never saw it in any store.

yeah, they were weird and unfortunately never really took off. i wish i still had all of mine. ugh.

btw, who are those sexy ass digimon?

Wonder if they are waiting until April to start the new egg or something.

At this point if it really is delayed they should just come out and say it. If it turns out it's delayed yet they continue to do more egg shit, it's just gonna piss people off.

Could be wrong though. I don't know too much about anime schedules and releases, so maybe it's still on track, idk.

I still have almost all of mine (English and Japanese) and also bought a lot more. I love collecting them.

Also, left to right: Venusmon, Junomon, Mervamon
lol @ all of these digimon being "god man" digimon.

ah, I wish I remembered what I did with all of my cards. I also wish I still fucking had them all.

Well, some of the series of the spring season don't begin before mid april. Digimon Tri is not the only one to not have a diffusion date yet. Saint Seiya : Soul of gold just got his date and trailer 3 or 4 days ago, and it begins the 11th. There is potentially 2 week and a half to 3 week to the diffusion. But yeah, they should say something.

Toei's gunna Toei, I guess. For a company that holds some of the biggest IPs, you would think that they would be on top of these things, but yeah I dunno :/

Isn't SS a toei anime as well? If so...There's hope.

Yes it is. Also, I've been watching anime for years now, and it's pretty rare for an anime to be delayed when the season is announced. That's pretty common for an OAV, but since a network has to have a plan, and a studio like toei wouldn't cancel a serie at the last time. I think information will come soon, but Idk what fuck they are doing.

I also like how the english version of the site, that was up to date for the 3 first salve of eggs is now like "Narf, nobody cares anyway"

The only logical expanation I can find to this non communication is that it's supposed to replace DBZ kai (also Toei), and they don't know exactly when it will finish. They just got Vegetto, so they still have for 5 (at least one for the vegito boo fight, one for the inside story, 2 for the kid boo fight and and one for the epilogue) maybe more to get to the end. So if that's right, Digimon try could arrive late april, even in the beginning of may.
Till now, they just said spring, and we just assumed it would be in april. And that would explain the non communication, since there still a month till there.

Wait, why wouldnt they know when theyre done? Isnt the japanese Kai cut to 40 episodes whereas the international Kai cut to 69?

Didn't knew that, where did you find that info, it's been 20 min that i search for that, but the only time I saw that number, there had no source link. But you're right, by rewatching all that left there still be way more episode, they could easily go by the whole spring season

Looking at the anime list for Spring:

http://static.neregate.com/2015/03/neregate.com-Spring-2015-Anime-Chart-v2.jpg

Looks like there is at least two spring anime from Toei (Saint Seiya and Digimon Tri) that has no plot summary available haha. (the anime chart was updated on the 7th of March so that's how updated it is). There isn't even one on Myanimelist for Saint Seiya.

it does say this on MAL:

Episode 1 will be previewed at screenings at Odaiba Cinema Mediage in Tokyo on March 21 and 22, 2015. Regular broadcasting will begin in Spring 2015.

So I suppose that's one thing Saint Seiya has over Digimon but still.

Yeah but Saint Seiya had a trailer mid march, we know it will be about Aeolia, it will happen in Asgard, and first episode is due to 11 april.

My guess is they did the trailer because of the premier thing that happened the other day.

Going by that logic, we'll get a trailer a week before Tri airs >.>

Yeah, there's almost no way that this is a spring show at this point unless Toei is planning on pulling a Sega Saturn style release.

Oh well, at least I have Cyber Sleuth to tide me over for the time being.

I'm guessing you never watched the original?
Hmm to be fair I don't remember that much of 01 since when I watched it I was a kiddo. Mostly remember some stuff from 02 and Frontier, also have watched like 10 episodes of Fusion. But huh, I didn't think of Digimon as the kind of series that would feature stuff like that despite some of its revealing designs. I guess it doesn't really matter

Also I'm not really feeling their new designs.

how are we supposed to watch anyway

If no Crunchyroll, find some REAL fansubs out there, aka groups that actually still fansub out there, not just ripping from CR or Funi and calling it a "fansub". Very few exist but for Digimon, I gurantee you that like 10 groups will start it, half will say "we are going to do the whole thing!" but only one group has a passionate amount of fans to actually do the job to the end. (Happens with Pokemon every new season).

I mean, Pokemon's basically had the same people subbing it for over a decade, so it doesn't even really matter there.

But I'm 99% sure that this will get a simulcast. Hunters did, and there should be even more interest in this. I'd be surprised if it didn't wind up on Crunchyroll.

don't know what crunchyroll is...

A streaming website that has a massive amount of anime on it. They usually get the rights to a large majority of new anime as they air, and episodes are usually put up within one hour of airing in Japan (although you have to wait a week to watch them if you don't have a paid account (which is dirt cheap)).
