It's an even slower Gaping Dragon with minor magic spells. What's the problem?

Camera. Lock/Unlock I'm trying different tactics to see how it goes. I

Take out the 6 bell maidens to make it easier but it's hard to keep an eye on all of him to see what his front is doing while I spam his rear. I keep in mind the front/back switch and alternate accordingly but i do get caught a few times off guard when he shuffles and wind up underneath him out of nowhere.

Not to mention the only insight i've spent was for the bells needed for co-op. I keep everything I've gained so far and have used every skull i have come across when i get it. So the difficulty curve of bosses might not be the norm. He does a lot more moves than in videos that i've seen and hits about 3x harder. Easily half my health bar with any strike.

Fire, stomp, blood spit, raining down bodies, swinging both arms in arcs, slamming the ground, arcane explosion and 6 bell maidens that shoot arcane balls and fire

So he's not just a slower gaping dragon with minor magic spells. That's some straight up shit coupled with a large boss and poor camera view locked or unlocked.

Maybe I should spend a bunch insight to make it easier on me but I really don't want to go below 50. I want to see what the game can throw at me.

is kicking my ass. The worst part is, I've now run out of blood vials so it's back to Central yharnam I go and then back on that huge boss run. (Yes I've unlocked the second elevator)

I managed to take that boss down when I switched weapons and strategy. Hunter axe, that AOE R2 charge really helped.

You'll respawn and can go do whatever you want. It'll have a Fog Gate where he is like normal.

And yes, it ends and goes right into NG+, unless you met the requirements for the True Ending and in that case you go right into another boss fight. If you die on the True End boss you don't have to fight Gehrman again, the fog gate will have the True End boss in it instead.

I've killed 3 bosses and got about 10... found about 7 madman's knowledge... but it goes quick when I pay a visit to the messengers.

Uhh....well I mean, I'm nearly on my platinum. I'm doing chalice dungeons, and I never really lose insight. I could be on NG+++ probably, but I'm waiting to do the final chalice boss before I end it. I've seen 2 endings though.


On that note, I'm here to help if anyone needs it with some stuff. Not coop, I mean advice. Prob too high level for coop.

something is shooting/throwing cannonballs at me. I have 70k echoes and are thinking about warping back to the lamp and use the echoes before i met a boss or die two silly times. Is there another lamp in the forest

or should i save my echoes?

There isn't another lamp but there is a shortcut to the first lamp that you should be approaching. I wish I could remember more clearly how close it is to where you are, but I don't think it should be too much more trouble to get there. Take it slow and you should make it okay.

Everyone tells me I'm not supposed to be in Yahar'gul, but I have no idea where else is open to me.

I beat BSB, and someone told me to go to the Cathedral Ward and go explore out front. So I go explore out front and all there is is a small courtyard, a crow, a cane enemy, and a sack dude. Then a staircase leads up to two more cane enemies and a gate that I can't open.

I can go out the side entrance, but that leads to the path down to Old Yharnam, which I've already finished, a couple dead ends, and another locked gate up near the giant axe wielding reaper dude.

As of right now, Yahar'gul seems to be the only place I can get to that I haven't already been to. I know I'm missing something, but I don't know what it is

I had the same problem. I went up that elevator to the right and just got to a door I couldn't open so I thought that way was a waste. But there is another way to go in that direction. You have to really look though. Everything will open up from there.

Can someone give me some tips on blood starved beast? I just can't seem to take him down fast enough. Not doing enough damage it seems. My best run was my 2nd fight and i wasn't prepared with antidotes, so I died. I'm now lvl 30. 20 skill and 16 for both VIT and END. Using he Cane and the rifle spear, which are both +3 with embedded runes. The rifle spear does a bit more dmg(133 Attack vs 122), but cane hits quicker album with less range. So it's pretty similar between the two. Moltovs don't seem to effective either, with a good chance to miss. Do I gotta just keep wittling away at him and hope for the best?

equip a fast weapon and stay as close to him as possible. EVERY time he attacks dodge left. Two of his attacks leave him open for quick hit. Repeat until he dies. Make sure you havr the outfit with 50 poison resistance equipped. The trick is staying in his face and dodging left. If you play from a distance you will never get a clean hit in.

You can kill him without being hit but it takes patience. Just only attack after you evade when he charges you from afar. He has no ranged things afaik.

That's part of a sidequest. Kill him to get the ability to buy his gear and a new emote.

If it were a player, you'd get a big notification that someone's entered your world. There are other NPC hunters in the world though and many of them are immediately hostile.

Did you ever go through the entrance to the sewers from the werewolf bridge? This is if you're coming from the main street with huge fire surrounded by enemies. Instead of going towards the werewolves, you go left and that will take you to the other side.
