As for your question: dont worry about stuff until you get to the first boss. You probably will be buying things like health, but just get to the first boss and eventually beat it. Make sure you explore levels to find shortcuts to make it easier to run to bosses if you get impatient (you dont always have to kill enemies if you can outrun them).

Well, Dark Souls came free with Xbox 360's Games With Gold program. Dark Souls 2 I won from a stream session when Joystiq was giving away stuff last year.

Eileen died in that fight with the other hunter in the Tomb of Oedon.
Is that it? How are you even
supposed to help her with them dashing all over the place? I kept hitting her by accident. And barely did any damage to the other hunter.

Nice. It took me 3 though both defeats were the same

I saved the magician for last both times, and the snakes murdered me. Third match I decided to make him my second prey. And it worked out because flamethrower dude was a joke.

all alone, on first try. Me, who has had help with every boss so far! It was really easy, actually.
 
Have got the Platinum trophy for Bloodborne, but still very curious about the story.
Too many unsolved question about it.

And I've got one last door to open I guess. Anyone knows how to unlock it?

It made my life 100x easier. This thread is moving at the most ridiculous pace I've ever seen on gaf.

Man, some of those Chalice dungeons are no joke.

The
Cursed Chalice
is the biggest challenge I've ran into in this game so far. I actually just continued on into NG+ after trying it for a bit because I felt like I should just level up a bit to make my life easier in there.

Hahahah! I wouldn't sweat it. You can see right when you opened up a can on him the animation just stared. All good tho.

I have rarely had anyone bow to me ;)
 
I gotta say this game is too gory for me. Coming off DSI and II, both of which had blood off options not that they were very bloody anyway, it makes me a little bit sick when I play it. Ive herd that the JPN ver is censored in this regard? Ideally I would hope they just patch in blood off (hey it might help with performance) but I would be willing to repurchase if another version is considerably less bloody. Ultimately I'm happy I supported the game but I don't know if I can actual keep playing.

I doubt that other people feel the same as me. But I felt I might just share my thought on it to see if anyone felt so similarly.

Okay, kill is rendering. I went about it in a funny way and ate a lot of hits, but whatever. This is the first Loran dungeon fight against BSB done at level 90.
 
So, I'm constantly losing health...

No rune is doing it, nothing on my gear, not standing in anything. Tried exiting the game and coming back but nothing is helping?

Halp?
 
Why aren't the spectres working? I'm only seeing tombstones rise and them disappear, do they not work the same as in the Souls games?

I'm just before the final boss, I just want to ask in here and see if there's anything major I missed. I beat
Cleric Beast, Father G, BSB, Vicar Amelia, Shadow of Yharnam, Rom, the Witch, Darkbeast Paarl, The One Reborn, Martyr Logarius, Micolash and Mergo's Wet Nurse.
I know I missed one or two bosses, but I don't know where they are. I got the
blood rock too.

Should I remove the chalices from the headstones and get them in my inventory so they don't disappear when I go to NG+?

Also,
I have the three umbilical cords, how do I get the true ending?
I don't want to end up with the shitty ending like the Gaffer last night did. And this is going to sounds stupid, but is the final boss like any other boss? You get as many tries as you want, no funny business?

They stole 6 insights from me in the
Upper Cathedral. Theres a good amount and I couldnt out run their magic :(
 
I've never been very good at the Souls games, they're so intense.

That being said I beat the first boss on my first try :P

bought the kirkhammer and repeater pistol. No idea what im doing but enjoying the combat
 
Took BTB on 2ond try without any problems, I think ive leveled to much before him but its so fun just running around and exploring. Got him to like 10% on the first try but wasnt prepared on accualy going so easy so didnt have any antidotes or molotovs on the bars and just choked when potions ran low.

I always wait when a dude backpedals a few steps to see what he is going to do. If he runs in, yes, time to party. If he takes a step back and stops he is in his emote menu. 100% of the time this happens 60% of the time!

GOD BLESS YOU. I am in this part right now but I forgot the name of the place since I found a shortcut to go back to my Hunter Dream. For the last 15 minutes I've been trying different lanterns hoping to get back to it.

Do you know how close I am to the end of the game from here?

Or are you still by this part?

Strange thing happened when fighting the Unborn Boss
I beat him on the first try without knowing that the bell maidens were in that upper area lol. What do they even do? Were they firing magic at me the whole time and I didn't notice?

I went after
the flamethrower first. The katana guy was fucking me up with his snake reach so he had to go next. That just left me with sword+candle guy. I already had him down to half since I decided to take all 3 down to 50% health before killing one. The first time he summoned the giant snakes, I escaped unscathed. The second time, they got me, taking a third of my life. He never summoned them after that since I killed him. :3

You have a gem in your weapon/gun that does that. Remove it.
 
I'm so completely fucking demoralized right now. I beat the BSB this morning, opened the first chalice, and promptly spent the next 2 hours wiping dozens of times to the undead giant. I just can't fucking do anything. I've read posts about it, It's supposed to be a relatively easy fight and most of my friends didn't have a hard time, and I just don't get it. Sometimes I do the big chunk of damage from breaking the thing on his leg, but then I'm still doing like 100-200 damage a hit and constantly having stamina issues from having to dodge all the god damn time. It's a god damn nightmare and I'm not having any fun at all.

I send the dude to the Chapel, and noticed he's a killer. Now I want to kill him back but he dissapeared from the Cathedral. Anyone knows where he is? Scared to send more people just for the dude to reappear

Are you still in the first area with Eileen the crow? If so, go to the main entrance (where the old lady NPC is past the dogs in cages) and simply drop down.

And yes, it ends and goes right into NG+, unless you met the requirements for the True Ending and in that case you go right into another boss fight. If you die on the True End boss you don't have to fight Gehrman again, the fog gate will have the True End boss in it instead.

Getting an unavailable lantern for the T
omb of Oedon [place where you fight Father G.] and am not sure why. I know it's not because of the hunter fight where I teamed up with Eileen since I've already done that. Is there something else there waiting for me? I'm there and I see nothing.
