As long as you haven't challenged the final boss, you can still go back for any other boss you might've missed, right?

You can start the fight with him, it doesn't lock you out of anything unless you actually win. If you die it just gives you a fog gate like normal and you can go about your business.

Fire + go hard on her legs to stagger

Here's how I did it

Yeah I think I got lucky there, beat BSB in one try and was very careful not to use many vials on my first few Amelia attempts until I got a bit more confident in fighting her
I feel like the game gets significantly easier as the game progresses. I'm not sure why, but I think it may have to do with getting enough endurance. The game really rewards you for playing aggressive and landing 10 hit combos... So later in the game it's obviously much easier to do that.

Posting for a new page because this thread moves FAST. Anyone know the best pre-BSB echo farming location? I want to remote play and L2 R2 are too unreliable to attempt bosses.

I've been noticing this too. I'm pumping my VIT and END like mad

Is there a good shortcut in
Cainhurst Castle
to get to the boss? I have the elevator one to the right of the spawn and that big book wall one. It seems like a hike to get back to the boss.

+200 Frenzy Resist and +100 All resists Runes and Attire that gives you good Frenzy Resistance. You probably also want to carry sedatives to cure the bar before it fills up all the way. Easiest way to kill them is to run up to their face and let them start to attack you and then parry-shoot them so you can do a V-Attack and kill them instantly or near instantly.

Byrgenwerth hostile hunter is getting me badly, game up to this point have been going without any major hiccups but this one is one shotting me, any advise? D:

Christ I literally did this two hours ago and my memory is already wrecked. There are 4. One of them I just completely fabricated it's location :lol

just noticed: when doing a critical attack, you use your hand and not your weapon.

so it doesn't matter which weapon you a currently carrying!?

I keep DYING!!!
And I'm only at the road with a lot of monsters and a fire, and some of them have shotguns and there's one wolf - all on the main street, and a few to the sides. I'm coming from Central Yarnham.

I don't know what to do. Frustrating. :(

Am I screwed?(late-gamey)

I made Iosefka disappear before fighting her by banging on her door till she left, so I can't get her umblical cord, and I didn't save the crying chick in the prison before killing Rom. I can't get the true ending, can I?

Pinwheel
was definitely harder than the Witches..

Nah, they were equally laughable, but Pinwheel's area was harder.

Equip maximum Frenzy resistance gear including equipping the rune if you have it. Also have Sedatives equipped, you can get a bunch from the old lady in Cathedral Ward if you sent her there. Sedatives cure Frenzy.

Basically bum rush the enemy which having some obstacle in between you and the enemy. If it sees you it starts the Frenzy bar. Kill it immediately and then run away... if you are lucky then the Frenzy starts to wear off but if its about to be full take a Sedative.

Oh my god! So that's what sedatives do? Wow... That would have been useful to know last night haha.

Oh well, I guess that's good to know for NG+

Need advice on progress:
Cleared:
Cainhurst
Nightmare Frontier
Forbidden Woods

Is Byrgenwurth the only place I have left?
I also killed Praal, but haven't opened the gate by him yet.
Quoting for the new page.

What's your insight? That boss did so little damage to me that staying behind and spamming attacks healed almost all the damage back up through HP regain.
I have 15 insight. Maybe I should try a quicker weapon. I have hunter axe +10 and I've mostly been using two-hand attacks. It does decent damage and sometimes stuns her, but it's slow as hell, and I get hit a lot too.

Draw them away a few at a time back into the alley you came from, take a couple out, then draw a few more.

Third death against the biggest fuckers in the game. Honestly, I take my score back on them. They're 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10

Is there a list of optional areas/bosses around? I feel like I'm nearing the end and want to make sure I've done everything.

Berserk manga spoilers and Bloodborne spoilers (do not read until you are well familiar with both!)
Just when I thought shit couldn't get any creepier/more disturbing, I go back to Cathedral Ward after beating Wet Nurse. The old woman is fucking dead near a bunch of graves, judging by her previous dialogue and the fact she spammed you with Sedatives means she probably over dosed on it. She was going crazy before that thinking world was going to end and took sedatives to calm her nerves. That's fucked up man...

Not nearly as fucked up as this other thing. Arianna (the prostitute) is also no where to be found. I go seaeching from her and she is at the entrance between Cathedral and Central Yarham right after the Father G fight. She has apparently given birth to... something. She was in agonizing pain last tine I saw her and now she is going crazy over what she has given birth to.

That shit looks exactly like whatever came out of Caska in Berserk after being raped by Femto. I killed that shit emphatically and got an umbilical core out of it. Reading the texts it seems like the Umbilical cords are of baby Great Ones (like Amygdala). In any case this shit is fucked up man!

This combined with the red moon makes it yet another reference to Berserk. There are a bunch of others in the game as well. I fucking love it!

The Great Ones choose women as surrogates to give birth to their young, according to the item's description.

Welcome to bloodborne!

Try luring them one by one. Use pebbles or shoot them.

I literally just killed this dude. I just kept my distance darted in with a couple of attacks and got out again. Used the fireblade thing and a beast pellet thing.

So yeah, Rom was a piece of cake. Amazingly cool boss setting though.

Just killed
Eileen the crow and then bought her awesome mask. Holy shit at the huge spider beasts scaling all the walls outside. The purple sky is so coo too
. L

People that have finished it. How far through the game would you say I am? I'm in a don't want to to end situation.

This is one of my favourite games in years. Best PS4 game by a distance. One of the best games ever perhaps?

I chuckled

That's an interesting way to look at it.
Don't know what is sadder, that interpretation or the way I saw it:
After a while she goes crazy and thinks you're her child, so she gives you sedatives en masse to calm you down. However, she can run out of sedatives, so the next time you go back to the cathedral, she's gone and left a note: She's getting more sedatives for you.
If you return and empty her stock again, she goes out to get even more for you ... and dies while trying. So it's your fault. She maybe was insane, but she took care of you and got killed for it.

Use Sedatives to lower the Frenzy meter. They work like antidotes in poison -- keep quite a few on you though, as the frenzy meter will start rising again as soon as you pop one.

Although after a few attempts I just started running past them to the other side of the bridge,

I used a very fast, very short range weapon in that fight, and I kept side-stepping behind and going from there. The boss has another attack that leaves them very open to punishment, but it's rare, so for the most part I waited for three cycles of the main attack, then swooping in, hitting, and then dashing back out. Try that.

Thanks, I'll buff up and keep my distance it's just that stupid
