Unfortunately my rare co-op partners vs Darkbeast Paate (sp?) keep dying almost immediately.

Hung in there with it, had it down to literally one more strong attack, & the fucker killed me. I feel so defeated. :(

okay seriously, I cannot fight the
shadows of yharnam
since my game for whatever reasons goes to 1 fps whenever I head through the fog. Tried to go back to the hunter's dream, restarting the ps4 and game. I think I'm fucked..

did anyone else have this problem?

Please oh please tell me the key to
upper cathedral
is easy to get? The thought of returning to unseen village makes my blood boil

Worst zone in any souls game imo

Just try to move forward and get away from the fog gate and the Framerate will go back up.

Yeah you can just speed run to it from the lamp.
did you ever kill the bell witches that respawn and buff enemies? Lol

Reading up on a lot of people's levels at the point they fight bosses and I think I've been pretty under levelled.

I think I'm gonna spend some time grinding tomorrow but I can't really think where I've missed.

Anyone feel like there's a lot less memorable bosses in this than in previous games? We don't really have a new Ornstein/Smough for fanart and worst of all no new Gwynevere.

i could see Amelia getting some fanart but aside from that everything seems super generic
I feel the opposite. Seven bosses in, I'm finding the BB bosses more memorable. The increasingly Lovecraftian motif probably helps with this. Plus, the BB universe is just more immersive in general.

I feel like there were a lot of downgrades. Honestly, I think there will be more blowback to Bloodborne than there was to DS2.

It is hard to say. The biggest concerns and flaws of DS2 were wiped away with Bloodborne. BB is outstanding froma World Design, level design, enemy encounter and atmospheric/presentation point of view. It exceeds every expectation on this regard.

Where I think it falls short is in Game Systems that regressed to lower "quality-of-life". Blood vials means grinding for health items if a particular boss encounter runs you dry. No fast travel from Lantern to Lantern and forcing an additional load to go to another area from Hunters Dream. Coop is less direct with Bells and even more obtuse in communicating to you if it is working or not. PvP is where shit will hit the fan longterm. The inability to setup duels is a game breaker. Only random invasions is possible. No way to know if it is a gank squad, Coop scrubs not wanting to PvP, or someone legitimately interested in PvP combat. A huge step back from DS2 multiplayer.

Oh my fucking god I can't believe I found shadow of yharnam so easy on my first playthrough.
Been one 3 times by the flamethrower attack
, that motherfucker

start at the lamp in the middle of the zone (forgot the name), run past all those annoying female mobs up the stairs and there's a gap in the railing. Drop down, go inside and drop into the cage to get the key

Vicar Amelia is down! I repeat Vicar Amelia is down!

I screamed so loud when I beat her, my mother ran into the room with a golf club. Took me two hours, but I'm fully understand why people love these games.

Ah, seemed to work..took about 15 seconds to get back to normal..don't know why I didn't think of that before..

It did that to me for over a minute but it kicked in and fixed itself. It's a nasty bug.

I'll agree that the world is more immersive and realized but
i don't think the lovecraft stuff helps in crafting unique bosses. I guess that's just intrinsic to making stuff based on existing fiction and trying to conform to those existing archetypes/characteristics

Even moving away from boss design, NPCs seem a lot less interesting too.

Boss spoiler:
ive killed ebrietas who is supposed to be a great one but I can't tell you anything unique about it besides it has tentacles like everything else

I still haven't got past the first boss after god knows how many hours but I'm still craving the game. I need to get work done but I can feel its sinister claws hooked in me trying to pull me back :3

Ok, now I'm getting annoyed. Two wasted insights, 20 minutes of waiting around, and now the game kicks me out to the title screen whenever I try to summon. Anyone else having this issue?

Okay, I'm done for today. Almost had
Martyr Logarius
on both of my attempts. He's pretty easy until he goes nuts and one his berserk combos can stunlock and kill me. :/

I'll kill him tomorrow with a more fresh and calm head.

Try to focus on 3 stats. Assuming you are playing a STR or SKL based build only focus your echo's on VIT, END and STR/SKL,

You didn't miss anything though. If you're not actively throwing away 10000+ echo's regularly or running past enemies constantly your level is high enough. I-frames are what make and break your game and they are not stat based.

Completed the game earlier and doing the Chalice Dungeons now. This game is a 10/10 for me. It's the best game I've played in a long, long time.

Fuck the woods fuck the snakes fuck the poison fuck that maze fuck me I'm lost I have no idea where to go :(
I was lost for a long time too, here's how I found where to go:
From the beginning (where the snake-headed guy on the bridge is) just follow the lights down the middle. Eventually you'll come to a river with two lit bonfires at the end. Past that is a path leading where you need to go. You'll fight two pigs along the way.
