Ok, now I'm getting annoyed. Two wasted insights, 20 minutes of waiting around, and now the game kicks me out to the title screen whenever I try to summon. Anyone else having this issue?
Have you played off of a suspended game? Suspend/Resume kills online. Check this post on Reddit for more online information.

After Amelie you go to the woods area?
I went to some area where there were hunters in some building and some thing grabbed me from ceiling and killed me?
That's the wrong way to go. The woods opposite of that direction is optional, but highly recommended.

Thanks everyone. Question 2 where is a good farm place for twin blood stone shards?
The enemies around Boss 4
(Amelia)
is a good spot.

Anybody been sticking to the saw cleaver relatively deep into the game? Wondering what people's thoughts are on its viability even as you get toward the middle of the game.

It is hard to say. The biggest concerns and flaws of DS2 were wiped away with Bloodborne. BB is outstanding froma World Design, level design, enemy encounter and atmospheric/presentation point of view. It exceeds every expectation on this regard.

Where I think it falls short is in Game Systems that regressed to lower "quality-of-life". Blood vials means grinding for health items if a particular boss encounter runs you dry. No fast travel from Lantern to Lantern and forcing an additional load to go to another area from Hunters Dream. Coop is less direct with Bells and even more obtuse in communicating to you if it is working or not. PvP is where shit will hit the fan longterm. The inability to setup duels is a game breaker. Only random invasions is possible. No way to know if it is a gank squad, Coop scrubs not wanting to PvP, or someone legitimately interested in PvP combat. A huge step back from DS2 multiplayer.

Hm, I think the blood vial system is different rather than a lower QoL but feels like one because of the other changes. Blood vial farming would be less annoying with resetting worlds at lamps and being able to port from lamp to lamp.

I find limited blood vials to add to the pressure to not get hit a ton I guess.

Is there anybody who needs help dealing with
Cleric Beast, Father G, BSB and Vicar
? I am looking for some co-op matches to earn more Insight points :)

hey, so I want some gentle reassurance in one direction or the other, not an answer telling me all the details; a yes or a no will do:

In the N
ightmare of
M
ensis
, is there a lantern or shortcut near
the door to the castle full of spiders after the werebeast, duo werebeast, werebeast, swamp thing x 4 gauntlet
?

Cuz holy shit, after the first time I got near there I died, then it took another 10 tries to actually get there again. Whew.

I think I have it sussed out now but yikes.

Thanks!

Finally home, time to rip some Bubba Kush and move on past Old Yharnam to
BSB
.

I wish I had some of that right now, too bad I only have this shitty, shitty, chemical infested weed. Ugh. I fucking hate Greeley, and I miss Denver so much.

Just wait till you get to the other bosses man, HOLY SHIT THIS GAME.

Just found Paarl, GODDAMN he is intimidating as fuck.

Is the
death wheel of doom
weapon only available in NG+?

I think it's a weak form of resource management since the act of farming for them is so easy. It's such a big downgrade over the estus to me.

Another amazing thing about this game are the optional areas, you are more than likely to miss most times you play it. Ive gotten to where I felt was near endgame, and I thought i'd do a quick read of what ive missed and thought yea just a few bosses here and there only to discover an entire new and massive area that is just as detailed as the main game! The story elements with NPCs / covenants / procedures etc are cool as well.

And the fact how obscure they were to access is mind boggling, no way I would have ever discovered them on my own, but I can imagine the feeling if I did.

I found a strangely powerful enemy in the sewer area below the great bridge, is it just a side boss? She has a bird beak mask, otherwise dressed like a hunter and attacks with either two daggers or a sword and gun. There's no health bar at the bottom of the screen, so I assume she's not a boss, but I'm not sure if I'm actually supposed to fight her.

If this should be spoilered, let me know.

Good point, I also forgot to mention that being unable to respawn enemies at lanterns is a refressio too.

I havent had to farm for vials much, but i can also see how a new player to the series maybhave to rely on this more frequently. It would be a huge drag that didn't exist in the last 2 Souls games.

Well been loving the game so far. Where I did start to get into the souls genre for demons souls and dark souls 2, I eventually got stuck or lost on what to do next and lost my interest.
Bloodborne however I've been pretty good all the way through, even with NPC quests and stuff.
Atm I'm stuck on
shadow of yharnam, managed to kill one last time and both others on half health then I got beat. It's funny because individually they're not so hard, the hard part is just keep track of what each is doing and keeping clear of all their attacks

Also is it just me or just before or after beating
vicar amelia
enemies seemed to start dealing much more damage and stamina seemed to be used up more pre hit. Getting used to it now, but was very annoying before that boss fight.

The staircase coming out of the old cathedral is beating my ass right now. It shouldn't be that tough but its just the right kind of lethal mixture of minions. I'm assuming BSB is at the top?

Mine is at +8 and still awesome. It's just fast and great against NPC Hunters and other fast enemies.

She's an NPC
who offers a sidequest. You can kill her for her stuff, but she's very powerful for low-level players.

There's one once you get inside. You'll have to fight the spiders and a
hunter
before that though. Honestly, I took one look at all the enemies between the lamp and the castle door and said "fuck that, I'm just gonna run". You can make it without fighting anything.

I used it for quite a while before I switched to Ludwig's Holy Blade. The base form of the saw is fast and powerful, but the transformed mode blows. Ludwig's base form is nearly as fast as the saw, but the transformed mode completely wrecks enemies. It can stagger larger enemies with a single blow, too. It also has better stat scaling. I would switch by mid-game.

Did you not play dark souls? Nothing in BB is as obtuse to find as the painting world

Is the

weapon only available in NG+?

No.

How to get it:
After defeating the boss of cainhurst, put on his crown and walk to his throne. You will unlock the new area which has a cainhurst summons item. Give it to Alfred (priest before the Forbidden woods password door).

Where is the 3rd lantern?

I gone across the bridge into a house, opened the door near the 2nd lantern l couldn't open before and now back to the 2nd lantern and don't want to die now.

There was a shortcut just a bit after those Spiders, near where you find the freakiest mixed animal ever ;)

So after trying to kill the
Blood starved beast
for an hour and a half, I'm worse off than where I started. I've got to farm for vials antidotes again, I have only 5 molotovs left, and I used up most of my pungent blood coctails.

What the fuck an I supposed to do now. His last stage I have no chance against. The pungent blood coctails seem to just make him go crazy and slash everywhere...

Got the first 2 bosses down. #1 or #2
Father G
was a pain in the ass in their 3rd form.

Question about the tiny music box. I went back to the person that gave it to me and told them about the Cathedral without having found their mother yet. Well I found their mother now but they're not in the house and they're not at the catehdral? Did I get them killed D:?

That's another Hunter. She could have been your friend if you talked to her but now you're probably on her shit-list. You can get her armor and weapon if you kill her, but she's probably a much higher level than you right now.
