Oh man, just got the 30% Moon rune (there are 3 tiers, 30% being the highest currently). Really interesting how you get it.

Endgame spoilers, do not click unless you've beaten the game atleast once:

You need the
Make Contact gesture from Upper Cathedral, and then go back below Micolash, to where the small children mobs are, and there's a new elevator there to take down to the abyss where you dropped the brain thing. Have to use Make Contact emote for ~30s, and then your hands change position and you get the rune.

So I've read Vicar Amelia is a extremely hard boss. What is the recommended level to fight her. I think I'm in the mid ~20, I have fortified my weapon 3 times and have two gems equipping it. Should I avoid her for now?

I thought it was quite easy.

Really cool boss though, I hope it's harder on NG+

I'm zoning in from the Yahar'gul Chapel lamp. The Hypogean Gaol lamp is limp and flaccid so it looks like I have to take the long way.

This part of the game was a challenge for me. I had to play really passively and just wait for the little guy to be ahead of the pack and gun parry him.

Ugh, I'm finding (8th+ boss)
Ebrietas to be a pretty annoying fight. Only done five or six attempts but it just feels like tentacle chaos in there. Hard to predict all those limbs at once. Trying to stay aggressive and just stay on her butt/side and whack away. Pretty sure I can get her, I've got her down below 20% on the last two attempts, but not a super fun fight.

I think you need to fix the spoiler tags there, don't seem them.

EDIT: You just edited your post, never mind.

Okay, do I have anything left?
Ebrietas down, Mother Brain dead, 3 umbilicals acquired...

Get in that butt. I just beat her.

Well you are missing what most people consider the 4th boss. I missed her also before I retraced ny steps and jumped down ot a ledge sticking out of a tower. Ill spoiler tag the rest if you dont want me to spell it out, but in case:

start at the cathedral ward go out to the left, go up the stairs stay right then there is the large circular area with two giants...take the second passage on the left, wortk your way up to the top of the tower, either fall off on to a ledge or take the ladder which I never saw unti; after I came up from below but it is there.

Thanks a lot !! :)
But now I have to go to bed damnit.
I Work tomorrow morning.

using the Ludwig sword more but i don't see the appeal. the greatsword R2 charge seems to take forever.

Yeah I agree. I built my character around the fact that once I got it, it'd be my choice weapon but I wasn't feeling it. Staying with the Axe for now.

Haven't seen many people mention this, I feel like the game has really good AI. Well specifically the hunters and a few of the boss fights. They can feel very similar to fighting real players sometimes

Is it possible to use a bold hunter's mark in a boss fight? I'm sitting on 60,000 echoes because ive fought this boss about 20 times and maybe if I can level up i'll actually beat it.

I just beat her at level 30 with the same setup. Took me many, many frustrating tries to take her down.

Eh, I prefer the two-handed axe charge. Destroys everything around you, not just in front. Also staggers most bosses/larger enemies.

And after a certain point in the charge you just absorb a hit and unleash the beast anyway, which due to the health mechanic means you heal the damage back on top of knocking everything down. So insane.

I beat the first boss and made it all the way to the second tonight. I got him down to about a quarter health before I died, the game is definitely starting to click for me more.

Can anyone explain how coop works in the chalice dungeon? Do both people need the dungeon to summon? I created the first chalice dungeon and have gone to the boss but haven't beaten him yet. I tried to send my code to a friend and invite him but he got an error saying he does not meet the requirements. He has yet to beat the cathedral boss yet if that makes a difference. Can anyone tell me why it's not working or how can I summon him?

he needs to be in dungeon use a small bell and you need to use bell of reckoning in the dungeon to summon him.

Yup. It's nuts. Only the very largest bosses can knock you out of the second swing animation.

Between that and how easy most of the human enemies and bosses are to parry, the game gets really easy once you get the distance and timing right for both.

I KNEW that thing did something , both of those , fucking great. Did you just try out everything to figure that out?

Hmmm.. Is there a bug with your Blood Echos death drop just disappearing? Several times now I've been unable to retrieve my Blood Echoes. Not located on ground, not on any near by enemies, nothing.. Starting to get annoying..

i tried it on one boss cuz i had 50k echoes but it didn't let me leave. i ended up beating him first try blind so that was great. i saved the clip of me trying to escape and the whole boss fight, hahaha

If time correctly r2 full charged + r2 does a bunch of dmg. Using a +6 Ludwig am farming bag boys in the prison for twin shards. This combo takes out more than 2/3 of its hp then I just just got to wait for stamin to reng and finish with a l2

But my favorite combo is r1+ l2 + l2 or r1, great dog and l2 staggers enemies and has more reach than the kirkhammer and more dmg than the axe
