I'm at 40 hours but I'm playing blind no guides or anything just maybe some help finding the optional bosses on gaf. I still need Nightmare Frontier, Cainhurst, and Last boss in Upper cathedral (Etorias or what ever). Im going for platinum so before I finish main game im going to clear those few optional bosses. will platinum on NG+ after I aquire all the weapons.

I recently killed the Church Ward boss at about lvl 35. I have spoiled the game for myself a bit about local connections from Church Ward, but I am still unsure where to go. Should I go to H

I'd recommend the former. Gets you some good skills.

i would do hemwick first as it's easier and the boss is super easy
 
OK, how the hell do you beat Darkbeast Paal on NG+. He has so much health and there's never an opening to attack him inbetween his combos.
 
A platinum in 43 hours? LAWD I'm near 40 and I haven't beat the game yet. Blind playthroughs are so fun, I run through an area multiple times in case I missed something.

Id go to HCL first, its a
dead end and you get the rune tool.

Can someone help me defeat
the asshole hunter waiting up top of the long ladder with the gattling gun? I tried knowing him off the roof and can't seem to. He kicks my ass before I inow what hit me.

I'm probably going to get Dark Souls 2 on PS4 first, then if I like that one I'll get the first.

Old Yarham connects to Cathedral Ward and Healing Church. Healing Church connects to Upper Cathedral, Cathedral Ward and Old Yarnham. Cathedral connects to like 5 zones (Central Yarnham, Hemwick,, Forbidden Forest, Old Yarnham, Lecture Hall, Healing Church, Upper Cathedral). Central Yarnham connects to Forbidden Forest and Cathedral Ward. Forbidden Forest connects to Bernham, Cathedral Ward and Central Yarnham.

The world isn't as interconnected as Dark Souls but it's definitely more interconnected than DS2 and Demon Souls.

I'll play some more and see, but one note, I know how Cathedral Ward connects to many areas, but it just seems similar to the four way fork in Dark Souls 2. The world doesn't loop on itself in the same manner as Dark Souls 1 so far. But the individual areas seem more tightly designed than Dark Souls 2 at least.

climb the ladder fast, once your at the top lock on and spam L2 bullets til he falls, quit game, reload, loot him.

I cleared out the room before them and pulled them all the way back to the previous lantern. After a couple of deaths, eventually I would get lucky and only 1 would follow me. Then I would go face to face with him. The last dude in the far corner is hard as fuck even by himself, his lance is ridiculous and he has a cannon that can actually one shot you.

You get a rune from the guy with the claw, but other than that nothing worthwhile.

Yes, not on NG+

NG+ took me like an hour and 15m lol.

Tbh? I dont know how much longer I'm staying in this thread now that I have a platinum :/

Whats the final "Zone" in the game? I'd like to know so I don't finish the game without checking out the other areas first.
 
I can not beat the forbidden woods boss, I've tried around 15 times over the past two days. I don't know what to do.
i panic every time the giant snakes come out and die.
 
Rom is making me hate this game lol. So cheap. He has literally no red showing, I'm swinging at him, the frame rate is like 6, and 10 spiders fall on my head while it doesn't register a hit on him. Bulllllllllllshit.

Hit his sides or his butt, make sure you roll in, get one R2 charge off and roll the fuck out. Dont stay there long.

Hmm

Well, they sell them at the hub for me :/ Thats the only place I know of. However, if frenzy is an issue, stock up on vials. You can literally run by anywhere spamming vials to live. Even on the hidden path that screws you over- I did it without sedatives.

I'd start with the first personally. It's just my opinion and people are a bit divided on it but I'd say that DS1 is a much better game than DS2 by quite a wide margin. I've loved basically all of the games but almost detested DS2 and only really beat it out of spite for it in the end. I'd love another souls game on PS4 but if the encounter design hasn't been tweaked largely I'll pass the sequel up this time and dream of a remastered DS1 :(
 
I feel so left out of this thread now that everyone has surpassed where I've been. Guess I shouldn't have spent my entire Sunday watching the X-Files!

It was earlier tonight and I was definitely almost grabbed, the swirly energy started and I hopped back and went "whoa sneaky"
 
Goddamn, some random dude summoned me. Hadn't even unlocked the shortcut in
forbidden woods
yet. I led him through the ENTIRE are all the way up to the boss. Made sure he encountered every item. And we both beat the boss. Dude must be so happy right about now.
 
Anyone have a favorite spot for farming vials? Blasting through Central Yarnham still seems to net the most, but I'm curious what other people do. L
ogarius
has taken quite a toll on my stash of them.
