What level are you? Dodge diagonally towards his swing :P
You should be able to stun him in 5 or so hits, if not come back with a more powerful weapon later. I tried it before that, and I've done it that harder way, it really isnt fun or worth your time. (I can share play to see how youre doing it if you want, but yeahh. I have nothing going on now that this game is beaten :V)

It took me a few tries to get the hang of it. Not locking on is a big part of it. Or if you do, disengage the lock as soon as you're under him and just wail on his legs. A few hits on his legs will make him fall flat, so you can get in a good charged attack.
 
Okay folks, I just started a Skill character. What are some good skill weapons? Currently using the Cane and Saw Spear (just beat Blood Starved).

You're plenty overleveled for this fight. Just remember-
when he does the burst attack, dodge forward and towards his side- you dont want to eat it. He launches stuff beforehand as his giant tell. And the swords in the air? Just look under them, break that sword in the ground for them to go away. And shoot him to stop him if he normal slices at you, I think. I forget if that works >.>

Yeah he kept wrecking me. Couldn't figure out his pattern at all. He's super fast and has two similar close range moves one of which is an aoe bomb and the other is just a charge. Never know which is which. Too many enemies in this game have close range aoe bombs.

Screwed for what? You are screwed in terms of finishing the quest line. You can still kill the hunter which will allow you to buy his armor I believe, and with the crow badge, you can get that equipment as well. The only thing you miss out on is a second fight and a covenant rune I believe

If it's the best I am not sure but in my opinion I really really like it. After ludwig's blade is the next weapon I will +10.

The normal mode does not have much range but is quite fast, where I think it shines is in trick mode, pressing L1 for transformation during a combo happens very fast (comparing to ludwig or kirkhamer )and is incredibly fast for a 2h and the attacks have some degree of aoe. Well balanced weapon I think.

Is this your second playthrough? Because arguably if not, maybe do a strength run. Or use the ludwig blade since str/skill scaling is even?

But yeah, if it's a second one, just speedrun to the end and grab the
burial blade
for a fun day :P
 
Okay so I went back to to talk the girl who gives you the music box
she was replaced with a man. And then the woman below her was with the same man. And then again at another door!

What is going on? It's making me a little uneasy. Should I follow him?
 
Soulflarz did you get any blood rock from chalice dungeons?

I was surprised people had a hard time actually!

But I can understand cause I fought him *much much much* later in the game due to the way I progressed so I was incredibly overpowered for the fight (at least I think?). I basically just stun-locked him the entire time and he didn't get off a single attack.

Strike at his head when you can. It will temporarily nullify his electricity.
 
Got my very first invation lol which I killed in like 30 seconds but at the nightmare frontier I killed the bell ringing lady that doesn't mean I can't get invaded anymore right :( I can see why people want to make the NF the main hub for pvp it's fucking gorgeous.....


But I didn't fuck it up by killing her though right ????? :/

That's normal. After going back to the Hunter's Dream the residents should go back to normal. The item he gave you is used to
reach an optional area.

Doesn't really matter. If you
don;t care about the covenant
don't bother with the quest line.

2nd character, not a speed run though. Haven't beaten it with my quality bro yet, just like to try different things.

Dont lock on, stay around his side/back legs, and swing away, he falls down after a few good hits. He was EZ :D

Perhaps you are out of insight? Each ring is 1 insight, and with how shoddy that is currently, expect 1-3 insight each summon :P
I mean, I had 99 liquid and went down to 70 with friends, one quick NG+ should get you back up in the end.

If youre still on your first playthrough, see if you have any of the skull items to replenish insight?

I killed him in my 60's lol. I left that area when I first got there though because its a later game area.
