Rom discussion:
I don't know. I am pretty sure the ice chunks did home on me on some tries. If not home, then by very least I am 99% sure they were projected to hit me where I would be. At some times I was running a circle around, or at a tangent to the boss and they hit me. Or I would start rolling into one direction before they hit and they first ones would miss and the latter ones would hit.
Not sure if it's connected to my insight levels. When I started I had 15+, but I did lose some insight a few times to the sucka outside when farming echoes for more vials (pretty careless I know, that's what frustration does to you). And when did I beat Rom, I had less than 10 insight.
Also, staying close to the boss seemed to be the way I beat it, and it helps alot with the ice chunks.
But yeah, I am not calling anyone a liar here. Just an interesting thing, this boss and how for some it's the easiest ever and for some it's very very hard.
Where do I go after beating the wcompleting Hemwick and killing VA? I tried going to the right of the and cathedral but I just ran into a room with a locked door and one of those giant invisible frenzy things.

There's a door in the cathedral town area that asks for a password. If you touched the skull in VA's room and saw the accompanying cutscene, you'll know the password.
It's close to where you find one of those octopus-head guys.Could you...hint which area its in? I must have missed that door

Visceral attack is the mega scripted attack that happens when you hit someone when they are staggered. It's pretty obvious when it happens. It's very, very "visceral" and bloody. What qualifies as a visceral attack, and what doesnt?

When you stun an enemy with a parry, charged backstab or do enough damage you will hear a sound and they will be locked in place with a special animation. If you go up to them and press r1 you'll do a special attack. What qualifies as a visceral attack, and what doesnt?
Just had this retarded glitch during a boss fight in the chalice dungeon

I just want to be home and play...

they need to learn a thing or two from MHThe AI almost seems confused the more people are there at once. I got summoned along with someone else for VA and it pretty much just looked at us and wasn't sure what to do.I definitely never found a consistent way to dodge them due to their semi-homing nature. What worked once didn't work the other time. Sometimes I'd get hit twice by them while still hugging his body. It was the luck of the draw for me.
How do you have a hidden camera in my office?
damn.... who in the previous pages said abhorrent beast is not hard? o_o

Can't for the life of me find the Cleric Beast....
Run into Father Gascoigne instead..
Get him to a sliver of health, go for the killing blow: YOU DIED.
Lose 5000 bloods, but at least I know he's beatable at my current level!
Didn't use the music box either...didn't have it equipped![]()
there is a way to kill him easy
They seriously look like something out of a kid's cartoon. The enemy designs in this game are out of this world (heh).Oh yeah I came across a path in thethat led to me to what can only be described as blueForbidden Woodsthat look hilarious. They fling fucking magic though so that puts me off going there completely.aliens
Had 36 insight and I found him to be the easiest boss so far. He rarely hit me and when he did, did pitiful amounts of damage except for his aoe explosion in his last phase. Would have beat him first try if I didn't use up so many vials on that crazy hunter before.
Hardest boss fight for me so far was Martyr Logarius. Spent two hours on him, almost beat him but got greedy. http://imgur.com/nP0s76f took another hour and then gave up did Rom and came back.
Blood comes and goes, but PREY SLAUGHTERED is what stays. Go get him!
Longarius was so easy. Wait until he attacks and roll left towards him. Attack and back off, repeat until he's dead.
a cheese way? nah, wont feel right even if i win. would welcome a legitimate way though ;p
I also had the issue with the(very late game boss)Wet Nurse only using two types of attacks. I looked her up afterwards because I couldn't believe she was so easy and apparently there's a supposed to be a clone form? Lol.
Lwas easy for me too. But on NG+, he had some new Attacks and was in "Berserk Mode" all the time. Hardest fight for me, afterongarius. Maybe it was because i had 99 insight and not because NG+, i dont know.Gehrman

Defiled dungeon? Had the same thing happen. Don't recall him doing the arm rip thing though. What's the stats like on that scythe and your stats if you don't mind me asking. You're doing way more damage then I was with the saw sear. Though I was mostly wacking his tail.
I just began NG+, so I'll find out later.

A new Attack wasthat he spawned a "stick" on the ground, which was constantly shooting red missiles at me. I had to attack the stick to destroy it. He was doing this a couple of times. Any1 seen that on a first playtrough or with not that many insight?
That does not work all the time, he will do a second attack to catch you if you try to attack out of a dodge as he normally has a multi combo string (and each of the attack leaves an after image).
That strategy would work if the boss is glitched and he does the same attack over and over again probably due to low Insight. Otherwise the only way to really counter attack him is if he does his lunge attacks, dive bombs or other laggy scythe moves.... or you can try to parry him which is the best option IMO because even if you trade with his first hit you still come out on top (you heal the life you lost and deal big damage to him).
