Spoilers obviously
I know you only get the Burial Blade if you refuse and beat Gherman. My question is can you get it if you go after the true ending and beat both Gherman and the secret boss?

So I just defeated the
Witch of Hemwick
and heading into the
Forbidden Woods
. I am still using the
Yahar'gul Set
. What armor should I be looking into getting right now?

I'm level 53 and I just took out boss SoY in the woods. I decided I want to explore an optional area. Which optional area would be most appropriate for my level?

Keep playing. For now go the other way. You'll figure it out.

I'm done with this place. I'm in front of the final boss trigger. I'm just wondering what I missed

huh, that's where I spawned in for the first time when I entered through the door in
Lecture Room Second Floor
. how did you spawn outside of it?

You spawn from here ? And you walk up to the first lantern ? Okay, that why it's here then. I forgot. I though you spawn right at the lantern.

I cleared them all at around level 40ish. You should be fine for any of them depending on what stats you leveled and what your damage output is.

Yeah. If you
die against Moon Presence you can even buy Burial Blade and use it against it if you want. You just need Gehrman's badge and he'll drop it after he dies.

That set seems to be the best general purpose set in the game.

Finally got to the Celtic Boss after just passing those two werewolves but ran out of time last night to beat him. Thankfully I unlocked that other gate next to the first lamp.

Yes and you can keep it in the Regular game if

yup, i had to light the lantern. the funny thing was I didn't even notice the lantern at first so when I died, it spawned me back at that cave instead of back at the
Lecture Hall
.

I'm new. I can't beat the two beast dog things on top of the bridge in the first area (after you beat the beast knocking on the door). Any help? Can I bye pass them? I'm not even close.

You can run right by them and take the left into the building. They can't get through the door. You can cheese them from there. Alternatively there is a shortcut on the left behind some boxes/coffins just after you get past the big pack of henchmen, in the area where the ogre ramming the brick on the door is. That will take you to the bridge, the lamp, and also to the next boss.

I could not get past them on my first night of playing the game, until I found out about the above. Both ways you can pretty much avoid fighting them altogether for now.

If you have oil and molotove use them...it helps A LOT. Also, try not to get stuck while dodging. That fight has the worst camera angles ever. That is the only thing that killed me when against the
Cleric Beast
.

Yup :)

Also, give Miyazaki some credit. It only took three games, but he finally realized that nobody wants to go through a lot of shit before they fight the final boss.

That is what I saw when watching a walk through it was bad at times.

Any ideas how this selling ? Bloodborne has been at #2 or #3 on the best selling videogame list at Amazon since it launched. There is also a PS4/Bloodborne bundle at #6 the last few days. May not be megahit numbers but its definitely selling well.

Ending spoilers:

The fight against Gehrman was incredible. The words beforehand, the setting, and the music all set a very impressive tone for the fight. I'm sure it was snoozeville if you're a baller who can parry his attacks constantly, but it felt like a proper fight to the death and it was a lot of fun. I think I like it more than the fight against False King, it is probably my favorite fight to play out of these games. Just two hunters in a field of flowers duking it out, really great stuff.

Moon Presence was a bit easier, but it was cool looking at least. I just walked behind it and hacked away. It wasn't a particularly challenging fight.

Trust me, friend. When you're able to go back and parry his shit, it becomes 10x more bad ass than it already is. You feel like the superior hunter. Congrats on finishing!

Currently about mid game on my ng+ decided to carry about 90 insight, want to see what the game brings at me. I am ready! So i think lol.

Tbh, I'm at NG with 70 or so insight and I doesn't feel "hard" at all. Is it confirmed it increases difficulty?

I've read that people get "easier" attack-patterns, but maybe it's just by chance?

The gear is so disappointing in this game. It looks great, but none of the ~8 sets I've picked up are as good as the damn Hunter stuff from the beginning. I've swapped out for resistance bonus here and there, but that's it.

Does this change at some point? I'm at Y
ahar'gul, Unseen Village, after Rom.

Finally beat the big armour pig thing. But just ended up dying to the big mob around the fire. The worst part of this game are the bloody death loading screens. Fricking awful

So I found 1 umbilical cord so far and I need 2 more. I've already killed
Losefka
earlier before I fought ROM and I don't remember if I've run into Arianna or night although I think I got some blood from either her or the nun in the unseen village. Am I screwed now?

Nah, that's pretty much it. Everything is best at something. Hunter sets are some of the best physical defense ones, surpassed only by stuff like the other Hunter clothes.

I used Black/White church the most, since they have a good mix of physical, Arcane, and poison resistance.

Yes. You can actually get it between the two.

Thanks guys! :)

Small details I just love:

- Pushing doors open
- Fog gates

The general extreme fogginess of like every area is just great. I am sure that is causing a lot of the performance problems. That and the extreme amounts of foliage. From Soft just said fuck it we aren't downgrading any grass or fog anywhere y'all can deal with this shit.

there's a lot of gear you haven't found. some are in optional areas and some are obtained from certain NPCs.

Played for four hours yesterday with my brother, yelling at him over the microphone as our asses kept getting owned and electrocuted by that piece of shit DBP. Was especially surprised getting invaded in Hemwick as we were making our way toward the boss.

Sucks that folks went an entire game without being invaded, perhaps they'll patch in something to make it happen more often?

In the sewers/aqueducts there is a section where a dead body is surrounded by loads of enemies in the water. They are seemingly inactive. What do you get from that body, and are the enemies there hard to kill?
they are easy kills, just keep your distance, they move slow and have a reach attack. though if you keep exploring down there you will come to a
tunnel with a pretty ferocious piggy.... as well as a ladder that provides a shortcut to Father G
. If you opt to take on the
pig
, which you should do.. at least before trying to kill
Father G, get behind the pork, that is where it's vulnerable
.

I hope that's what the new 1.02 is, since it doesn't seem to have changed loading.

Was using White Church for a bit, but enemy types are changing again. Need to see the next boss to figure out what to use. I can respect the side-grade system, I just love getting upgraded gear in games.

Oh, I'm sure I missed a lot. So far I've picked up
Hunter, Yharnam Hunter, Charred Hunter, Black Church, White Church, Yahar'gul Black, Student, Doll, Sweaty and a couple of extra head pieces.

Does not compute

It's mostly sidegrades, rather than upgrades. While I appreciate it, a clear upgrade would be nice at some point. I guess it would render all previous gear useless though.

Yes.
You get the Rune Workshop Tool that allows you to use Runes in the altar in the hunters dream

On a side note, T
he
O
ne
R
eborn
is really handing me my ass, hardest boss so far.

Oh ok! Thats great! Thanks!
Gonna hunt that Wich soon then! >.>
