As long as you don't lock onto her, it's an easy fight.

Exactly, locking on is probably the worst thing you could do.. draws you out from that sort of safety point and leaves you swinging at nothing.

Just finished the game. I might give it a rest for a day or so now before attempting to platinum. Chalice dungeons are gonna be a bitch.

Im very hooked on the hunters axe since the beggining, i like his power and charging rotative attack, i fortified the weapon a few times and im having a hard time letting him go, can someone advice me a other weapon to use that have similar power besides the axe? not a fan of it, thank you

Ludwig's Holy Blade

Having fun waiting for invaders / invading in
Nightmare Frontier
, although it's taking too long between matches. Not as bad as DS1 PVP on PC before it moved to Steam, but not much better...

I don't really find vial healing to be a problem because of how fast fights are, but I can see how they can be annoying. Using
Burial Blade+9 and Blades of Mercy+8
with 50 skill.

Looks like DS1 still has the best invasion mechanics of these games. I miss being able to invade anywhere easily. I used to have characters built entirely around co-oping/invading specific areas.

Yep... The W
itch
boss isn't the easiest...

How am I supposed to get past the
three hunters
in the Chapel? -_-

Run past them. I unlocked the area previously before the "event", so I had all doors opened and just ignored them. But you should be able to ignore them and run.

You can gun counter him easily for an easy win at quite a low level.
If you can get him to repeatedly do that easily counter able 3 attack combo I suppose you probably could. Still not sure I'd recommend it though, you still need to be able to survive the first phase where he didn't seem to do melee apart from the very rare occasion(at least for me). Not to mention, the gun seemed to bug out a lot for me, I'd be locked on and the gunshot would miss or something(maybe he deflected? I dunno).

Hey guys, just killed gascoigne (which was super non enjoyable) and exploring the world a bit. Quick q:
Can you finish the game with the base weapon? (in my case, the cane) - lots of people seem to be buying that huge sword, does that mean i should save my blood shards?
is it worth upgrading the pistol (increases parrying window?) My gun damage is pathetic and I am never relying on it.

So, what's this apparent mission you can do only when you are in the unseen village? Like, I left the village, but is it too late to go back and do whatever this secret thing is?

I got this electric weapon, which is nice.

I would try the axe. Cheap, and quite different from the cane.

I dunno, are you referring to the nun in the basement?
You need to be summoning someone. Yeah, it's dumb and neutered :(

Not true, some areas do seem to have a Bell Maiden even solo. I had one in
Nightmare Frontier
.

I just tried this. They followed me. 24K echoes lost -_-

Is the stake driver a bad weapon? I like it but I don't want to put my eggs in the wrong basket of there's a much better weapon I could be putting blood shards into.

yep that is my experiance. I was take less damage per hit (Health bar %) than I did on all of the early bosses but I was only chipping away health. Still easy and actually more fun because I did alot more parrying and dodging.

I was also fun going straight from BSB to beast Darkbeast Paarl.... I like doing things out of order : ).

I'm afraid of that battle in NG+ to be honest.
I was only able to defeat that one because it felt like it didn't have much HP (or I was just dealing a lot of damage to it)

If now it was extra HP I think I wil have a hard time beating it

What's the level range to do co op? I think in DS1, it was 10% of your soul level, but they might have bumped it up to 15%. Anyone have any idea what it is for Bloodborne.

OK, kinda unsure where to go from here.

I beat
VA and TWOH. I went right from the cathedral and all I found was a dead end and an instant kill from some demonic spectre.

Is
the nun
gone if you leave? I did find this, so Im good?
What do you mean by leave?

I went to that area a bit early, left and came back later and she was still there. I'd imagine if you wait too long and kill a certain boss which advances the night she probably disappears.
She just cries..
You need some kind of church outfit on for her to speak to you. White Church garb for example, which is in the
Forbidden Woods.

Feel like Im wasting blood echoes buying different weapons, since it seems to be the case that weapons all seem to be about preference than power.

Should I sell some of my weapons?

I just bought the Holy Blade and found Tonitrus but have kirkhammer + 3, Hunter Axe +2, and Saw spear.

Which should I sell?

Spoilers for the end
I just beat the wet nurse and the Hunter's Dream area is on fire. I think I've beaten all the bosses, so should I eat three umbilical cords and fight the final boss? Also, is there any reason to kill the prostitute's baby if I already have three cords?

Why sell any? Just collect them all.

I did it

I finally beat watch dog of the old lords in the defiled dungeon

best advice = circle strafe and punish his charges

time consuming but besto strategy imo

just died because the framerate dipped into the teens, lmao

IF THAT.

Was a fucking slideshow

Super unacceptable for a game like this

If you run down the spiral staircase to the next floor down, you can run to the back gate that leads to the tunnel to Paarl. Aggro them to that area and pick them off one at a time since it'll continually mess with their pathing and aggro range. Yea it's cheese, but fighting three hunters at a time is BS.

Why sell any? Just collect them all.

To level up of course.

People keep saying weapons are about preference as opposed to discovering new powerful weapons, and Im thinking it's true. So why bother with skill and strength when I can level up health and endurance. Is this line of thinking wrong?
