Really don't want to farm earlier Chalice Dugeons to unlock the later onesThey were boring going through once. Really should have done them early on.
Well there isn't a consensus really yet, although most believe 100 is too low, so the push is more towards SL120. That will allow people to have multiple stats at 40+. Possible build is 50 vitality, 50 strength (or skill), 20-30 endurance (use rune of 15-20% stamina to make up for the fact that you didn't go to 40). High vitality is essential because you have a 30% Health penalty when you invade. Plus, high vitality is essential in a certain chalice dungeon.Okay, then what is the community agreed self-imposed blood level 'limit' for this game? 100?
Question for people that have finished it.I have only consumed two pieces of umbilical cord. Do I need the third one. What is the difference in endings? I never fought that massive spider handed beast, is that the one I'm missing?
Do the chalice dungeons start giving more unique loot later on? Finished a couple and while its a neat idea, I feel like all the chests have just contained stuff for getting to higher chalices.
Pretty neat how there are different enemies in the mode though. I should have been trying them while playing through the game normally, since im at the end now and am kind of just wanting to beat the final boss.
Does new game plus affect chalice stuff?
I've avoided most hunter fights so far. Took out the machine gun guy but left his friend below him alone because he murdered me three times in a row.Does killing electric hunter unlock bolt paper at merchant?
Consuming two doesn't change anything, 3 of the 4 possible cords are needed. The true ending has an extra boss. The giant spider doesn't drop one of the cord pieces.
Yeah I asked this yesterday and got help.Basically get their attention, leg it downstairs into the bottom basement and lock yourself in a cell. Then with a pokey weapon (Ludwigs sword is ideal) Charge heavy attacks and stab them through the bars. They can't get in the cell
For some reason, I find the second spoiler part to be really funny. If you sent the old lady (she was in a house in Yharnam with a dog in front of it) to the, she gives them out like candy. Thecathedral wardalso drop them.students in the Lecture Hall
Hey, I'm getting there!70% of people have gotten the Cleric Beast trophy. A total of 10% have gotten one of the ending trophies. :lol
Come on people! You started it, you can finish it![]()
Nope, all chalices stay the same, no increase in difficulty.

They don't scale so I guess listen to a podcast and just rush through them.
Well nevermind, now my fast-quote window is back... but only if I go back several pages. :S Weird.

Hey, I'm getting there!Just like to take my time is all. I've been doing some chalice dungeons but getting a bit bored, you can tell the intricate From level design is not there. Though I've only done the Pthumeru ones, maybe the other chalices have different tilesets that will offer some fresh change?
The only non-Chalice thing I have left, that I can find, is (4th headstone)I'm guessing I'm pretty close to the end, right?Margo something, whatever is after what's-his-face Usain Bolt who cried about me waking him up.
3 of the 4? So if I missed the one from the girl in the clinic I can still get a 3rd one? Have the hunters dream and margo ones.
Root dungeons randomize the layout and loot; you can get some Uncanny and Lost versions of weapons (different blood gem slots) and some rare blood gems and crafting materials. The Depth level of a chalice dungeon is its difficulty, past depth 3 is when things get pretty tough.
And guys, a beginner's guide was added to the OP a few days ago. Check it out!
Finally got tohis first 2/3 is relatively simple right?Gehrman
It's just his last 1/3 where he's a little charged up? Any tips?
He was actually the only one I've been able to kill so far (besides machine gun bro, and yeah I tried killing his friend as well with zero luck...)Unfortunately no.
That's correct. I destroyed my chalice dungeon before realizing that. Luckily, you can search for other's dungeons of the same type and it doesn't cost you any components as long as you have unlocked that dungeon type once. Root dungeons are randomized variants. You need to redo depth 2 difficulty dungeons to get blood ritual type 3 for example.I'm not missing something in thinking that you have to do the early ones a few times in order to be able to do the other chalices you unlock? I beat around 3-4 Chalice bosses and just don't have high enough ritual blood to make the next one.
Yes! Finished off Amy in the Defiled Chalice![]()

What's the difference between physical atk up and atk up? What wxaxtly is atk up boosting, everything?
Most people don't want to help with trash mobs. So, they ring their bell before bosses. Are there rules about when you can use the reckoning bell? I have plenty of Insight. Does an area have to be clear?

Oh god. NightmareI didn't mean to go here yet and now I'm trapped with no vials.of Mensis.
Or people are just taking their time with the game.
I don't have countless hours in my day to play the game, so I get home from work, play for maybe an hour or two if I can, then do other stuff. I play a lot more on the weekends, but I'm usually spending time with my wife. More people will beat the game eventually.
Yep. If you kept Arianna alive, after killing Mergo she'll give birth to a baby monster in the basement of the chapel. Kill it and you'll get the 3rd chord.
Use a Hunter's Mark to go back to the leave and leave.

There should be a lamp.It just takes me back to the beginning of the area.

By the end of the game, you'll probably want to get your insight really low to reduce frenzy damage. Well I didn't try high insight plus +300 frenzy resist runes (+200 frenzy, +100 all), so the resist runes might be enough to compensate if your insight really high?Heard insight makes the game harder, sitting on over 60, don't gif a fuk. Wondering if it makes enemies hit harder or have higher healthbars, seems to be a big mystery. Most people say it adds new movesets but it's hard to tell the first time through.
Confused. How are you trapped? There's a lantern right at the beginning.
Cainhurst Castle is an optional area like Painted World.I've been meaning to ask this. So is this section like the Painted World of Ariamis? Are there any like that in the game?
