He's one of my favorite characters. It works well because Zoom was extremely menacing in the comics as well, insane and malignant but guided. His (modern) appearances made me think of the novel The Woman in Black for some odd reason. I just wish he spoke like he did in the comics, his voice slowing down and speeding up erratically as his time-based speed powers pulsed in intensity. And Cavanagh's delivery in that scene, mang.

If it ends up being like the comics, it's because Barry's is fed directly by the Speed Force while Zoom's/Reverse Flash's is based on manipulating time.

The time manipulation is only for the second Zoom, Hunter Zolomon.
The first Zoom gets his powers from a negative speed force.
Speedforce.
This must be the Zoom I read in the comics, thanks.

Just watched this week's ep and had to comment on Mark Hamill being absolutely amazing. Like seriously. In an episode filled with all kinds of noteworthy things, he stole the show. And those references lawd

Nah. The lighting is speedforce. Thise discharges happen even when Barry is in his civilian clothes.
And why the different color? I expect RF's powers to be different somehow. He might be using negative speedforce. Or maybe it changes the color because he's siphoning them from Barry somehow? I mean, I doubt Barry would run out of Speedforce 15 years ago.

Season 2 of The Flash was greenlit a while ago.
There will be, Arrow and Gotham will also get new seasons, Agents Of Shield most likely but not confirmed yet, Agent Carter most likely not.
Which is a shame because Agent Carter was more enjoyable than Shield and Arrow so far this season.
Jesus.. if we thought this season this good then I don't think I can handle these last few episodes.
This show can get me hyped up like no other. It's a shame we have to wait till the 14th.

I finally got my wife to watch with me last night after having our routine Angel/Buffy argument that will probably be put on our headstones.
She has seen some of it when its on and doing other things but after she actually watched the pilot she went, "Ok..I get this now" and has been watching all day.

Well, theoretically the costume could change. Also, I don't think that Flash Barry is the same as this Flash Barry.
Other than that, we don't know yet, but it seems pretty deliberate.
