Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

People call it "one shot" when they beat a boss on the first try.
For me one shooting means you kill something with one attack.
Her it is different.

"One-shot" has a couple different contexts.

1) You killed something in One Try.

2) You killed something or something killed you in One Hit.

In this case it means that they killed her in one attempt at her, since there's not really any bosses you can OHK in Bloodborne.

It might be possible if you saved some early game optional bosses until you were very high level at the end of the game and then used a heavily upgraded Cannon with Bone Marrow Ash on them, but that's a very unlikely scenario.

I'm obviously not taking Monday very well. I'm slow.

It seems I can never find anyone to coop with. Am i over-/underleveled with LV55 at Nightmare Frontier?

Although now that I've done all the bosses solo so far, I might as well keep going by myself.

edit: ^nevermind I guess.

I m fucking scared lol those
bag
guys kick like Jean-Claude fucking Van Damme

is there a boss there?

An optional one, yes. The Van Dammes have a notable weakness. When you do about 20-25+% damage to them, they take a few moments to go berserk and then really go to town on your ass. While they buff themselves, it is quite easy to slip behind then and land a charge attack + Viceral on their asses.

Really wish people stop saying "one-shot", as it literally makes it sound like you killed a boss with 1 weapon hit.. Esp confusing since some bosses you can kill in 2 weapon hits (Cannon is OP apparently lol)

Exactly, when i first read people said they one shot the boss, I was like no way people can kill boss with 1 hit lol

Hey guys quick question:

In Old Yarnham I've just killed the
NPC Hunter
on top of the Tower by accidentally pushing him off the ledge, now his loot is stuck mid-air unreachable near the wooden bridge downstairs.

Is there any way to loot it? or maybe if I exit to the hunter's dream and come back I'll find his loot where he was? Am I fucked?

I hope it isn't something special.

Also just defeated BSB on 2nd try while only using 2 vials and few antidotes, easiest boss yet. Got him to 15% 1st time but I mistakenly let him corner me and got poisoned and smacked to death.

So what can I do with this?

Does anyone know if you can uninstall the patch to dupe items? I beat the game normally, but now that I'm in NG+ I don't want to screw around trying to get enough blood echoes to level up and try new skills that I couldn't use my first playthrough.

Seems hard with him throwing ice cubes at you that are hard to dodge

Just run/roll in a zig zag pattern. Not really difficult. If one of those hits you and you die, you might not have leveled Vitality enough. Pretty sure those are Arcane based, so you can stack Arcane defense for it.

If you exit to hunters dream and come back the item will be up where he had spawned. It happened to me too and I freaked out lol

Watchdog of the Old Lords
is fucking me so hard in the chalice dungeon. I feel like I have to play perfectly. I'll get his health down, and then I'll fail to dodge one of his charges, and just fucking dead. Also feel like he is hitting me so fucking often when I feel like I successfully dodged.

hardest boss of the whole game by FAR for me
here's the run where I finally beat him, just played very carefully

Where do you find the bone ash armor(the one where the hat looks like a witches hat)? I found it on my 1st character and IMO its the best set overall (good fire resist and physical resist). But on my 2nd character I have not gotten it yet and I am pretty deep in NG+.

I was referring to the
Chikage
along with
Reiterpallasch and Burial Blade.

Oh I have the
reiterpallasch
as well, but I don't really like it when compared to the cane. Again, it's a hybrid Skill/Bloodtinge weapon, and I'm not built for that. Currently 38 Skill and 12 Bloodtinge.

A chalice dungeon boss wears it, defeat the boss and you can purchase it. I think it's Central Pthumeru chalice, layer 2 boss? It's been a long time since I purchased it so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

Fought the last boss...
But
eaten the three
before...
Fought the last boss...
Finished the game. Heart is pumping. Going to ly dow.

NG+ here we go.

You can always ignore the bloodtinge scaling and put some Skill gems in the weapon. But I haven't tried that with any of those weapons outside the Blade quite yet.

I was able to buy it with insight after beating the boss in some chalice dungeon wearing the set.

edit: this thread is too fast for me...

So I'm stopping at BSB to spend time grinding to level my character. I'm playing with the saw blade and my stats are currently:

Vitality: 21
Endurance: 16
Strength: 12
Skill: 11
Bloodtinge: 8
Arcane: 7

I've been focusing on vitality and endurance, but should I be focusing on strength/skill to level my saw blade attacks? I've already leveled the weapon to +3 and it won't seem to go higher.

Do beast blood pellets do anything? It seems like when I use when I get a bar that slowly fills up as I attack guys. Seems like my attacks might be slightly stronger too but I'm not sure.

I've used the cane, the Righterpallsh, and the chikkage.

Canes easily the best for the actual game, especially mobs and enemies you don't want to get close. Haven't tried it for PVP but I'd imagine it'd be easy to parry.

Righterpallsh is great for PVP because of how fast it is and because of the R2 horizontal slash.

Don't know why someone would want to use the chikkage, unless it gets really powerful. Those vertical slices suck.

ok thanks. makes sense. I did the platinum on my 1st char so I did that chalice.

So I did some co op and died and the bell lady stole my blood. I spawn back and I see a pair of eyes glowing where she should be only to find I cant kill her unless I play co op again.

So I'm fighting the last boss and every time I use the becoming bell a sinister partner spawns Even though it said a resonating bell has been found. What gives?

best early game grind is from Church of Good Chalice lamp throught the area with the 5 wolves. You get a ton of blood stone shards and each wolf gives 1k echos which gets you up to level 40 pretty quick.

Another option would be to grab the tonsil stone and get to the lecture hall 1st floor. You will get 20k echos per run and that place works to grind to about level 65 or so before it gets a little slow.

I have some questions about ending related stuff
The hunter's dream is burning so I guess this is it. What do I have to do to make sure I get to fight all the bosses? Also, there are two doors I haven't managed to open: the first one is the one in Cathedral Ward, past the Giant with the massive ball on a chain. The second is Nightmare of Mensis, after you get the "slab" you can drop down and if you keep going there's a locked door. Any hints?

One by one. No seriously. also sneak up on as many as you can.

Yeah, I just ignored most of them, and killed a couple at the entrance. They both almost killed me though... that was very appellative though. =/

Thank god inside it enemies were much easier.

Am at Logarius entrance now. If someone wanna help, I'll enjoy it! =D
