Phew! Just killed
Ebrietas
the first time after like 5 tries. >.<
Did it on NG+ because I missed it the first time around. I went from "This shit is impossible!" due to her magic attack to being able to dodge that unharmed. Like with Flamelurker...or O&S...

Such a great feeling! :D

Anyway, can anyone tell me what to do with the Altar behind the boss? I don't get any options here. :(

Well, a frustrating night has ended, with me still to defeat BSB, and that's WITH help....I think my play style is just too gung-ho. About 10 times I've become a Roy Cropper....Only now I'm left with nothing...no Blood Vials, Molotovs....zero money .....nada 8(

Yea, those nights can happen. You'll get him. Sometimes it's best to let the game rest a bit, gather thoughts, and come back the next day, with a fresh mind and motivation.

Didn't even get a chance to play this weekend, gonna dive back in tonight, and try to take out the
Forbidden Woods
section.

I just reached the Forbidden Woods and this shit is wild

You haven't seen shit yet. So is the best strat for TOR to
kill the bell maidens first and then try to cheese it with dropping R2 attacks from the 2nd floor or what?
I just want to be done with this boss.

So I'm in New Game + and killing certain NPC hunters gives me
Blood Dregs. I know I can turn this into the Vileblood queen for leaderboard placement (yawn), but does she offer up any cool gear or prizes for turning in a certain amount?

You get a Gesture for turning in your first one. People have turned in thousands when the Dupe glitch was in and nada.

Hmmm.. Lasers aren't determined by insight. I had 0 for a while and still got lasers (I think?).

The only thing insight does for that fight is make that field around her visible AFAIK.

It's hard to tell with that fight but it looked like she only did three moves(throw up, basic tentacle attack and headslam).

I just want to be done with this boss.

I just ran around the boss without locking on. R1 attack 2-3 times, take a few steps forward, repeat. If the boss staggers, I'd do a charged attack. I buffed my weapon with the
Empty Phantasm Shell
or Fire Paper, I forget which. Didn't bother with
the bell maidens
.

Yeah, a few people here the other night found out they got an easy E
brietas
fight due to that bug most likely.

That boss would be more enjoyable if it wasn't for the unfair, IMO, hitboxes.

Omg is it even possible to beat
gherman
?

Getting my ass handed to me big time at lvl 72 with ludwig +10. I suck so hard at parrying and I guess it shows now... I just want to finish the game but the fact that afterwards

there will be another fight since I consumed the cords

Really makes me want to quit the game. Progress has been pretty okay for the whole game but yeeesh did i hit a dead end.
It's a tough fight, there's no question. I struggled a bit at level 100.

One thing I did that helped was use Bolt Paper. Seems to stun him for a second longer.
Also, since I used Ludwigs as well, I found that using R2 (one handed) when he was rushing in then following up with a few R1 swipes worked well. Forget two-handed, he'll punish you. Also, if he gets a hit in on you, immediately roll away. Also don't be afraid to break lock-on and run to the opposite side of the map when you need to heal. Also, parrying DOES work in this fight, but it's tricky timing. Also be sure to use the Blunderbuss, anything else is too easily dodged.

And don't worry, after you beat Gehrman if you die on Moon Presence you don't have to fight Gehrman again when you go back.

Fighting rom at level 4 is the most annoying thing, tedious and unfair fight that feels like it should be in ds2

What's your attack at Level 4? I imagine you upgraded your weapon at much as possible (maybe to +5 or +6) and are using Bolt Paper. Just asking because I might try a Waste of Skin run one day.

I hate him too this is the technique I finally developed to beat him.

Ph1 sit there and charge ludwigs as soon a he starts to move release R2 and he will run into your sword. Just keep doing this over and over.
Ph 2 (when he uses 1h Burial Blade) just keep shooting at him he will stagger ever 3-4 shots run in and spam R1 with your short sword.
Ph 3 Do the game as Ph1 except you will be trading hits make sure to use fire or bolt paper

Also you could farm from mergo's loft middle to the elevator to Mergo boss. With a few moon runes on you could get to level 90 in like 30 minutes of this, and that would make a huge difference. You also get a ton of vials from this. I went from 10 in stash to 99 in 30-40 min.

I cheezed with co-op. Felt bad, but after 15 tries a and loads of blood vial farming it was my only chance..

I had a hard time with it on my first playthrough, but I feel like I was just doing it wrong by trying to circle strafe and keep hitting the sides/behind. On NG+ I just went in with my Ludwig's Holy Blade in 2H mode and just dodged and ran in and laid down L2 attacks. That causes them to get stunned for V.Atks super fast and they'd just keep getting staggered and died before they could really do anything.

I still can't believe that I died to
Celestial Emissery
on my first playthrough.

That's almost as shameful as dying to Pinwheel.

Wait, have I been doing the wrong plunging attack all this time? When I fall down, I press R1... and it sucks. I just assumed they nerfed the hell out of it. But are you supposed to do R2 in the air in order to do the "real" plunging attack?

I just beat R
om
and I am out of vials. Where is a good place to farm some?

Farm echoes and buy them. Equip runes to increase echoes from slain enemies and go to town.

I'll try this out. I've been hitting R1 too.

Man, I never would have found this
Old Abandoned Workshop
if someone hadn't told me about it. Must be amazing to be the first person to find this stuff.

Still really useful items since they give you Insight when you use them.

Yeah, they're useful for getting Insight. Just saying that there's no point in turning them into her past the first one.

What they are *supposed* to do when you turn them in is up your Rank in the Vileblood Book leaderboards. Unfortunately, due to Dupers, that board is completely and utterly forever meaningless and tainted. The Dupe Glitch totally ruined the PVP ranking book.

I guess they could wipe the stats on it, though someone could still have 198 of them saved up it wouldn't be as bad as people having thousands and thousands and thousands on it.

At the Nightmare Frontier boss and the health system in Bloodborne is started to piss me off. The Estus system in DkS1 was perfect. Dying over and over here means you have to go and farm elsewhere for more health. It's fucking stupid.

Also why can't you level up from the lamp? Repair from the lamp? Travel elsewhere from the lamp? Fucking switch Runes from the lamp? It's all through an area you have to load in and out of.

Anybody want to help me beat
Logarious
or whatever? I am, I think, level 60 and this fight is frustrating me for some reason. I get him close and then I get killed right near the end. PSN is same as name on here. Message me please :(.

Also... I have been rocking the Axe so far. How is the Great Sword compared to it? I haven't invest chunks in upgrading yet, so now would be the time to switch.

Or just use your echoes that you saved up to buy 100+ of them and not have to worry about them for a while.

I have like 18000 souls and am about to fight a boss. in cathedral ward. think it's worth using a bold hunters mark and leveling up/fortifying weapons before facing him just in case?

Should I tackle N
ightmare
F
rontier
and H
ypogean
G
aol
before R
om
?
And do I have to
become a beast at the top of the Byrgenwerth library
to continue the story?

I just beat the
shadows of Yharnam
, and I do want to do as much content as possible.

No one? =[

My moon isn't
red
, either..

Have a hard time understanding some of your probs with the BVs farming. At least (and here probably lies the mistake of my assumption) when youre further into the game, killing the two werewolves, the two big guys by the elevator, big guy with the axe near the first lamp and the big guy surrounded by the three crows and all the creeps along the way in Central Yharnam give me approx. 20 vials for an effort of 5 minutes (ymmv).

I'm done with this game. Probably never going to play it again. There is no reason to beat this game again. The lack of content & quality of content in this game is abysmal.

Chalice dungeons are the most half ass way of trying to add content to a game I've ever seen. I had to force myself to beat them all just so I could say I did everything in the game. They are excrutiatingly boring. Instead of building a beautiful robust world & putting these bosses in them, you have to play through these god awful cookie cutter dungeons to fight some of the best bosses in the game.

Most disappointing game ever for me. I practically bought a PS4 just for this & the game lasted me two weeks & only 4 chatacters. It's so bad I want to scream. Unbelievably disappointed with this game
Even if they had added all the Chalice Dungeon bosses to the main game, it wouldnt have made the game THAT much longer though. Maybe some hours longer (depends on how much one play each day of course, and on how long one uses to beat the bosses, but its not like those additional bosses would make the game a whole lot longer).

From what you wrote, i'm curious to what you were expecting from the game's length. It seems to me at first glance that you had an almost unrealistic expectiation for how much content the game would have, especially if this is your most disappointing game ever, meaning that you most likely had really high expectations for this game (i dont know how many games that you have played though, but i assume that you have played quite a few games at least). Have you played any of the other Souls games by the way? They really dont have that much more content in comparison when it comes to the length of the games, at least from what i can remember. If they have, it doesnt take several of more weeks or something to go through it compared to Bloodborne.

Personally i will end up having played Dark Souls 2 a lot more than i will end up playing Bloodborne though, but that is because i liked the world in Dark Souls 2 quite much (i beat it 6 times or so and did much co-op), not because the game has a lot more content. Dark Souls 2 might have more content now that 3 DLC packs are added though, but i played it a lot before the DLC oacks were released. I like the world in Bloodborne too just to have mentioned that, but i think i like Dark Souls 2 better in that regard.

I also think that the quality in Bloodborne is excellent. When it comes to content though, i wish that the game had a bit more NPCs story lines, and it would be nice if there were maybe 2-3 more covenants as well. I never really cared that much about the covenants in Dark Souls 1 and 2, but it would have added something extra to Bloodborne.

That works fine but it's incredibly dull to do. The main issue is how BVs seem to drop in abundance at certain spots and not at all elsewhere, so you run dry if you get stuck on a boss, and it's a massive pace killer to stop what you're doing and refocus like that.
