Yeah, I tried that. But then I got gangraped by the spiders and the
hunter on the bridge
anyway lol.

Really?
Have you tried running into the building past the bridge? You can deal with the
hunter
there. I doubt the spiders will follow you in there.

Some things never change, huh.

In totally unrelated news: The poison pool little worm shits big bell guys cave between F

I finally pushed through the last few bosses this weekend. I didn't get the best ending due to trusting a very bad NPC and also murdering another NPC too early.

Here is a roughly 40 minute video of almost all of the boss fights (minus two because I forgot to save the clips). Some fights went really well, some not.

https://youtu.be/HkkHJOb5jLI

If you're stuck on a boss, maybe it will help, I don't know. I used the Hunter's Axe for most of the game, with a little LHB in there too, and had relatively low HP and Stamina for most of the game (~20 and 15).

CB - Gave up on using the gun after the first visceral, mostly just humping his legs
FG - Owned him
BSB - Lots of parries
VA - Went pretty well, was trying Molotovs on this attempt, but it wasn't necessary
WoH - For those that wonder "how can this fight not be super easy", here is how. I spent way too much time on the minions.
SoY - Actually not that bad now that I watch it again.
DP - Using LHB here instead, don't remember why. Sloppy, especially with the AoE, but fairly quick.
Amy - Other than a good minute where I did no damage whatsoever, not too bad.
Mico - 5 minutes of running around, good strategy on avoiding the AoE (stay close) at least.
MWN - Axe 2H R2 is my favorite.
Marty L - I pumped VIT and came back to this one way late.
GFH - I can't believe how close to death I was multiple times in this fight - literally a sliver of health.

I'm having a really hard time in the
nightmare frontier... those fucking guys that make you frenzy... I last like 5 seconds and then death... :(

The sedative doesn't seem to work to good, unless your constantly popping it.

Chalice dungeon's boss spoilers :

I'm at the lower (?) phtumeru chalice dungeon, (the one after central I think), and the boss is... fucking Rom. I never had a problem with himin the game since I sumoned a hunter and got it first try, but in the chalice dungeon I am alone... can you summon other players to a chalice ? How do you do that ?

Isn't that building blocked by a door? I think I didn't do that because I didn't want to get backstabbed by the entire gang while opening the door lol. Lemme try again, if it doesn't work I'll try and slowly make my progress.

Lol. Thought I'd go see which other Bosses I should had beaten already. Using ruin to bolster bolt defence.. Went and beat
first boss in hypernion
..
Wasn't too difficult. Beat it in less than five.. Was averaging at probably over fifty deaths+ for the other bosses... :p

Youre talking about that pack of spiders together with a big one? Theres a way to cheese them!

When you enter the build, call the attention of the spider and run back to the entrance door. Youre gonna see the big one cant reach you there. So you can kill the little ones and then spam charge attacks against the big one.

More range, more variety. Better speed, better scaling.

Pretty sure it has less range than the kirkhammer plus the kirkhammer moveset is better in my opinion.

Longsword speeds are the same pretty much and sometimes blunt works better than standard damage. Also you can specialize blunt gems onto it and the hammer just does dumb damage.

Also scaling is whatever if you're going pure STR early on. It's probably the ideal weapon at really high SL but meh, I don't like the holy blade in general.

Guys weird question

If you kill Iosefka really early can you still send NPCs to the clinic? Or does it just remove it from the list?

Dat
Phumerian Elder
, the 3rd boss of the lower hinterlands chalice. Died a few times since he makes these annoying delays to the attacks that made dodging surprisingly difficult at first, but that was a pretty cool boss to fight. I liked his gimmick and the 50% health boost to it.

I think you need to give the glyph (the generated code) to your friend(s), everybody enters that same dungeon on his own, then when you're both inside, you ring the bells like you usually do and you should be matched together.

Also, I found Chalice Rom MUCH easier that the real game version, I don't know why. His projectile attacks were much easier to evade.

i found him easier there.
way less adds and there are pillars to block the meteors. got him first try. gotta YOLO and just go after him ignoring the adds.

One thing I'm still bewildered about is parrying bosses. And I'm on new game plus. I lose my cool with bosses and just start hacking away. Are most bosses parryable? Even if I've bately upgraded my pistol?

Effective strategy?

Gratz! Now for the missing main story fights (3 are missing?) and the Charlice Bosses (about 10 unique more!)

Have fun. :)

I've asked before, but is it possible to parry M
ergo's
W
et
N
urse
? I hate bosses that I can't parry, and I feel like this fight will take forever otherwise.

So far I've got 8 bosses down and now I need to decide whether to do
castle cainhurst or Yahar'gul unseen village.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about
the unseen village
so I think
Cainhurst will be my next mission
. Are there any NPC storylines that can be started/completed/advanced while I'm there?

Also I've yet to start the Chalice dungeons despite being level 80 now. Is it better to get the early ones out of the way now or just wait to near enough endgame/NG and do the lot?

The first few Chalice dungeons going to be really boooring but it should pickup after two hours or so when you get to "lower"

Good Bloodborne day today, I beat 5 bosses, solo of course:
Celestial Emissary - first try
Martyr Logarius - third try
Amygdala - second try
Micolash - second try
Mergo's Wet Nurse - first try

Now some what I am assuming are end game questions:

Gehrman's waiting for me at some tree. Should I only eat the umbilical cords right before fighting him or does it not matter? Is this my last chance to do sidequests/ Chalice dungeons?

Yeah, I tried that. But then I got gangraped by the spiders and the

Just run past everything. Run past the spiders, over the bridge, past the hunter, down the first set of stairs and keep right and you'll find an elevator that opens up a shortcut to the Mergos Loft: Base lantern. Let everything reset then take the elevator back up and you'll be able to sneak up and V. Attack the hunter on the bridge.

Regarding the scaling of LHB, I have 24 str and 16 skl, the damage seems pretty good already.

Would I stand to gain much more if I focused on skl up to a similar str level?

Running past everything in NG+ is pretty fun. It's amazing how fast you can skip through most of the areas this way.

You people like your two handed weapons so much you forget why this game has guns ;)

This guy, like many other boss, can be so easily perfected with a gun parry

Ahh ... I used my gun a ton at the start of the game, but as things have progressed I'm using it way less. Time to revisit!

Lol at folks saying that Ludwig isn't all that. Yes if you have a build in mind you might be able to eventually do more damage but you have to get so specific. Ludwig is perfect for npcs and balanced builds. in fact I'd argue it's meant for balanced builds in general.

Though I'm now gonna pump points into strength over skill so I can use my wheel more effectively

M
aryr Logarius
is giving me some serious trouble right now.

He just throws a crapload of magic at me, when I try to approach him. Rarely have a chance to even hit him once. I guess parrying is the key here. Never really used it much before aside from BSB.
I'm having problems with him too, he keeps spamming his projectile and AoE attacks way too much. He's relatively easy to parry with a pistol when he uses his swipe attack that begins with the scythe next to his right shoulder, so you can get some visceral attacks from that.

Tried summoning but everyone seems to be idiots who die immediately to that big skull attack.

Great. And I don't know about that last part. :P I just need to find a good weak spot.

There is not really one, but it's quiet easy to do that:

Always stay at her side
Always have a certain range (so that you don't get hit by her attacks of course)
Always circle with her
Attack when she doesn't do her attack that hits you from behind

When it gets dark and she uses her special attack you could try to fight her, but it's easier to just run around in a circle all over the place and wait for the attack to end. After that just repeat.

Easiest way:

Canon +9 with 25 Bloodtinge
Use Bone Mash
Shoot
Repeat 2x
Dead

I think I fucked up

way back when I knocked Djura off the tower I couldn't get the item he dropped so I skipped it. Now I'm reading that I need it to get the Stake driver...

I can't decide which weapon to bring to +10 :-(
My character is a skill build, so the cane (which I love) or the twin blades (which I want to love) would be a given, but I've easily used Ludwig's blade the most since mid-game.

I guess Imma go with the cane. I miss the swag.

Yeah, I'll never have enough STR to wield a cannon. :P (Mine's at 10 right now.) So my gun is kind of useless right now, sadly.

Thankfully, my whip has decent range, so I can get in there after she's left vulnerable after an attack.
I just need to not get sloppy when her doppelgängers pop in. I felt it was easier to stay close to her in the purple fog so she doesn't do the OHKO dive attack out of nowhere.

Man, I got her to about half health when
2 clones of hers popped up and started using crazy long-ranged attacks
. Lame.

I'm missing at least the final real boss for sure, and just panicked and forgot to save the clips of two when I died at the same time as the boss.

At least I have this nice screenshot :)

So far I'm through 4 chalice dungeons and up to the giant with the balls and chains (and sword and...thing). Waiting until NG+ to even try the first Chalice dungeon was either stupid or genius, I'm not sure. The first few are so easy...but it sure as shit ramps up eventually.

edit: I realized I am totally missing Royal Alien Vanguard from my list as well, not that there was much to see from that fight.
