I want to start a new character, is Eil
een hard to kill ? I think I will kill her when we fight henryk to get both armor sets.

Early on in my current game, I
hit her by mistake, thus taking away my abilities to do the quest line / fight.

To that end I killed her last night, and yes it is difficult. Just bring a hard hitting 2-hander.

How do you guys feel about the bosses in this game?
Rom
is the only one I actively dislike, but I also don't think there are any from this game I'd rate in my top5 Souls bosses.

Yeah somewhat tricky. I lured her out onto the rafters and knocked her off down to the rat level. That was 3/4 of her health gone. Then I finished her with molotovs. Wasn't going to jump down into that horde.

I actually really liked
Rom
, lol. Really cool setting and it reminded me of Phalanx in a good way. Pretty frantic fight too.

I haven't beaten the game yet but so far Daddy G is my favorite.

Have you done the chalice dungeons? 3 of the games best bosses are down there

There should be at least one already.
go straight from Cathedral ward lamp, take a right immediately. Should be one around the wagon hiding in a corner.
if not then after VA For sure.
Its only a guy with a stick there at first. But yeah, one will appear at that spot indeed. I'm trying get into old Yharnam from the back, so i need to be kidnapped first.

R. wasnt that bad imo. Most of the bosses in this game were actually kind nice... The most annoying for me were some enemies. 4 of them being more specific:
Frenzy Singers, Bell Girls, Brain Suckers Cthulhu-like creatures and the Horror Japanese Spider creatures in cainhurt.

What ending should I go for on my first playthrough? I have
three umbilical cords
but if I get the true ending will I not be able to get the
burial blade
?

Gotcha... Yea behind him is where one should be but maybe I'm wrong about when he appears haha. Either way that's the earliest one I know of.

Why wouldn't you? When you beat
Gehrman you get the badge which allows you to buy the blade iirc.

Level 72 as of last night, I actually thought I was over-leveled for this zone, guess I need to git gud
That should be the right level I feel like. Welp currently working on a second character thats level 42 as of now. I will prob hit level 60ish in a few days so if you still need help or anything let me know :P Yeah I know its a little bit in the future but just offering to help :)

You can always back up your save on a USB flash drive or cloud. Then download it after you get any endings. If you get the true ending, you can still get the
burial blade. As long as you consume the 3 umbilical cord before speaking to Gehrman (right spelling) and refuse, you will automatically fight the moon presence regardless if you die after beating Gehrman.

Yeah, unfortunately that enemy isnt there to begin with, only a guy with a stick and 3 crows are there.

How do you get to
Vicar without buying the key item first by the way?
I got there on my first playthrough, but i forgot where i went.

I don't understand how I missed so many NPCs. I really took my time going through the game but only saved
the mean old lady
and sent
the girl to Iosefka
.

that is "a problem" since demon' souls.
you just need the right weapon.
Guess I just never really noticed it in Dark Souls 2, but there weren't really any tiny enemies in the game. Well, except for those bug things that give you mats.

I really like this version of bugs that give the mats, as so much easier to stop from running away and hiding. Esp their "fadeout" time is slow and if hit, will stop, giving you more time.

Some do. You only need about 15-16. Throw one and it'll be poisoned. Just watch the health bar drop and when it stops moving, throw another knife. You can throw a Molotov every once in a while to speed things up a bit.

Yeah. I'll have to grind up some echos, since those are like 4k a pop or so now, but luckily this current dungeon level gives plenty.

Is there a way to play online without being invaded? I still want to read notes but I am not interested in the PVP aspect of this game, at all.

Yeah there are two ways to get to VA IIRC. You either
buy the hunter chief emblem from the messengers, then go left from the Cathedral Ward lamp and up the stairs where the Church Giant to the gate to the courtyard, OR you can beat BSB and then the door towards the Healing Church Workshop opens up and you can go down from there
.

I got only invaded twice in my playthrough so you really don't have to bother with pvp in this game if you don't want.

Dont i need to go through
Old Yharnam
first to get to that boss? It should be possible to avoid it.

If you are
trying to turn the guy friendly you can still aggro him while going though Old Yharnam to kill BSB and have him be friendly later. I even went up to the top of his tower and had him aggro me in person and it still worked out when I entered the zone later the back way though the Darkbeast's lair. You just have to make sure he dosn't see you on your way up from that back way. Also it does seem that killing BSB is when the kidnappers arrive.

Well I was invaded non-stop yesterday evening whenever I entered the N
ightmare Frontier
. After an hour of other players stopping me to go on with the actual game, I continued offline. But I miss the notes badly.

Except for some late areas, it's really hard to get invaded unless you do co-op. Once you kill the bell woman in those late areas, they don't re-spawn (unless you do co-op again), so only have to worry about it initially for single player. And I'm talking late-late-game, as in SP alone, you won't see them for a while.

Edit: ^^^ Find the Bell Lady and kill her. Rush her.

I might just take you up on that, thanks for the offer. I'm pretty slow to beat games, so it might just work :p

Took me getting two characters to the finishing line before I finally went through with it. Got the true ending.
Beat Gehrman on my first try. Crazy fight. I was way overzealous with the heals not realising I'd have another fight on my hands right after. Got Moon Presence about half way with one vial left before I got dropped. I went and bought the burial blade and got it to +9 with the blood stones I had, went back and kicked some ass.

As for the ending itself, it goes without saying but, wat?

Bravo Fromsoft. Can't wait for some of that S-tier DLC

In
Nightmare Frontier
there is the bell ringing lady which you have to kill. After that you won't get invaded. So if you do that offline you shouldn't get any more invasions.

edit. She won't respawn.

If you don't use the beckoning bell to summon, you won't get PVP. You can tell enemy players can be summoned because you'll get a message
"The bell ringing woman rings a sinister bell"

Are these bell ringers present in every PVP enabled area?

Wait, so in NF, if you have gone in once and killed the bell maiden (up on the ledge area) then when you go back she will be gone for good?

I'm having a hard time seeing how anyone could give it anything less. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite games ever made

I could. I've enjoyed it but the game definitely has its faults. From the Forbidden Forest onward the game just kind of falls apart and becomes a chore to get through imo. Dark Souls had a similar problem but I still believe that was a superior game overall compared to Bloodborne.
