Finally beat the game and did all three endings. Man, what a ride! Bloodborne is definitely my GOTY so far. I still need two more trophies for the platinum: the one related to the chalice dungeon, and the all weapons trophy. I gotta see what weapons I'm missing.

i just got the Plat earlier today. i'm done until they announce DLC lol

Really? I thought I explored all of it the first time I went past, and I just combed through it again and still can't find them. :I

Mind you I need more than that even, only got one at the moment and I'll need 18 in total.

yes I just did it last night. There should be a side door right before
The Abhorant beast
. One chest is across the bridge and the other is in the area below the bridge (the lower bridge leads to it, its actually on the side you enter though)

can you paste the glitch information i cant access gaming sites(they are blocked) while at work. thanks.
Potentially a memory leak, the glitch was spotted by Redditer meatballz, who posited that if you leave the game running for more than 12 hours or so the bosses will cease to function properly and use only a fraction of their movesets.

"There's a memory leak issue in this game that causes bosses to have a reduced moveset after the game has been running for a long time," meatballz said in their original post. "I wondered for a long time why so many bosses in my initial playthrough seemed so easy. Turns out I'm not just a Bloodborne badass who can one-shot the bosses other people have trouble with, it was because I marathoned the whole game in one sitting and around the 12-hour mark bosses became much simpler."

Some commenters are saying this bug will occur even if the PS4 is in Rest Mode. meatballz also noted that the 12-hour mark is just a rough estimate.
And there are comparison videos of one of the later game bosses that show just how reduced their movesets are.

Yeah that looked weirdly bad for me too. A lot of the water in this game has a rainbow effect in it too that makes me think it's oil.

The rainbow effect puddles are oil, notice that whenever you're standing in one you have the oil status effect icon under your heath/stamina bars.

lol I'm at the end of Nightmare Mensis, just cleared Cainhurst and the
first
Upper Catherdrial boss, and I just now found Beast Roar for the first time.

Could have helped me plenty back then xD

From Me
rgo's Loft Base
if you enter the castle
, take the elevator up then the spiral staircase down, there is an elevator in that area with the broken floor that goes down into a pit of nothingness. I ran around for 10 minutes and nothing. What am I missing?

What's your level? I'm 73

When I started it, I was 66. Check my replies and you'll see a discussion I had with others earlier on today as I was struggling quite a bit.
Managed to open up the first shortcut which was a massive relief and then the second. Beat the first boss of the area and now I've reached the second lamp. I'm sure it's going to get much harder now.

There's a present down there waiting for you if you kill the boss of all the brain frenzy dudes.

makes sense. I remember watching videos on youtube on how to beat bosses in the defiled chalice and the one I watched for
Watchdog
the was using a tactic I found impossible because in my game the dog was using a different moveset. I am guessing that guy had been playing a while. Same thing happened with
Amagdala
, the guy in the vid fought her just like you fight her in NM plains (stand on the side and attack arms) and he barely got hit. I tried that... and died so very very fast.

Hmm, you must be on about a different chalice. I've not even fought that boss yet. xD

Might have to do some other of the chalices I guess then. Only done Pthumerian up until Defiled so far(which I can't unlock due to the afore mentioned lack of blood).

I seriously need help with the Abhorrent Beast. This is the boss that is leading to my "This is Bloodborne" moment(s)

Arguably my favorite boss of the entire game. I love that fight man. Hella hard, but not artifically difficult ya know? Just great boss design in my opinion.. Took me about 10 attempts, was using a +9 Ludwig's also. I think at that point i was level 120-140. So much fun.

Question:

If I couldnt get the chikage because I didnt join the Vileblood Covenant, should I be able to get it in the chalice dungeons?

Can someone help me get the Ebrietas elevator unstuck plz ?

I'll set a password. Just join me once you're at the bottom so you can send it back up.

I'm close to finishing the game. What a ride! I don't want it to end just yet so I'll stop for now and maybe finish during the weekend. I haven't tried Chalice Dungeons so I might go that route tomorrow and see how hard they are.

Yes! One and done for BSB. I just went in there hoping to do some learning for next time but somehow for the first half I kept missing all his attacks and ending up behind him, I had barely got hit at all. Then he started landing on me in the second half but I just powered through and got it done. I knew when I saw those pillars it was a good sign.

I actually got the guy on top of the tower in one, his throwing stuff at me saved me cause I got some heals in when he did that.

So far Old Yarnham has the best level design I think, the areas are more distinct and don't blend together as much and it was nice to find a shortcut I was really excited for.

The bosses don't give many echoes in this game, I don't think I can even level once after that boss.

Those dang crystal lizard guys are such a tease, I keep hoping for twin shard drops but I just keep getting regular shards. The first time I saw one I thought the game was gltching and the messenger guys were running around.

The PS4 share function really is a great thing for games like Bloodborne. To see everyone putting up their footages of funny / great / interesting moments has certainly been fun to watch. Not to mention how easy it is for people to get help / tips / tactics so readily online.

its the one you have to do before defiled. Ailing Loran Depth 4 layer 3 is where they are. You get this chalice from beating
Amagdalla in NM
plains.

if you are near end game you wont find a challenge until the depth 3 one. Thats when you have to actually think about what you are doing.

I think I've decided, Mer
go's Wet Nurse
is the easiest boss in the game, even beating out W
itches
. Every single attack has about 5 seconds of wind up, and none of them are active for long at all. Just beat her in NG++ without getting hit once.

So what was your strat? He is fun and all but I want to win and move on.

According to A German Spy, Miyazaki personally laid out the map/level designs in Bloodborne. Absolutely phenomenal this guy...
Wow if so, the interconnected world's and shortcuts are one of my absolute favourite elements in both this and the Soul's series. Now that I think about DS2 design sucked, so it can be assumed Miyazaki was responsible for Demon's and Dark Souls too. Very reminiscent of Kojima in that respect. He personally designed MGS and MGS 2, he had made Lego versions for MGS's levels to help the artists. Kojima may have also designed MGS3, MGSV and PW though not to sure on those.

Besides the 12 hour glitch i saw this exploit on Rom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZWAYkV9tDY

Haven't tried it myself. Its funny how people look for glitches on these hard ass bosses.

This video pisses me off. Not because of how you can cheese this fight, but because this is the first time I watched a Rom fight and I realized I didn't even see at least 2 of the moves he uses in my run. Of all the attempts I made on him I never saw him roll over like a dog or make ice crystals come up like that around him. I'm pissed that I inadvertently fell victim to this 12 hour glitch and ended up experiencing a castrated version of the game. As soon as I started I never exited the game because I played it non-stop.

Are you sure this is the case for forbidden woods and (boss spoilers)
Daughter of the Cosmos?
Because those areas have the same oily effect on the water, and fire doesn't seem to do anything.

Oh that's a cool idea for those at got it stuck. Well, providing the distance between upstairs and downstairs isn't too great for the co-op to connect.

You never had the
Molotov guys roast you in the oil river? Totally oil.

Yeah, it would have been a good idea, but alas, the elevator still won't move. Just tried it with Knitoe. I'm just fucked.

So the arcane scaling on a weapon doesn't actually do anything unless you slot a fire/bolt/arcane gem? (threaded cane for example) This is gonna be a rough ride until I get a weapon that slots the gem. Trying to do an arcane build my second time around.

So I know fire seems to be good against most beast/furry creatures, what is bolt and arcane good against? Thinking of slotting either one of those two because molotovs and flame sprayer have me covered on fire.

The depth 5 Great Isc chalice is actually pretty easy and the enemies drop triangle gems (Cane). I got a tier 18 one that traits to arcane there (too bad my arcane is still only 8 lol)
