Finally got the Platinum.

The last boss in the Chalice dungeon was surprisingly easy. The one before it, however, was a colossal pain in the ass.

Now let's never do another one of those tedious fucking things again.

Yeah, it would have been a good idea, but alas, the elevator still won't move. Just tried it with Knitoe. I'm just fucked.

Yikes with him on it it won't come back up? =/

Well shit, this better be like the first thing they patch for the next one. Then they can get the co-op connecting issues fixed.

After grinding through the forest and
lecture hall
the last few days and testing the waters in the
Upper cathedral ward
, I triggered the cutscene to
Cainhurst Castle
and love that the game can inspire me to gaze dumbfounded unveils yet another house of unimaginable horrors.

Also received
the Reiterpallasch: A sword that is a gun. Eat it FFVII.

Are you sure this is the case for forbidden woods and (boss spoilers)
Daughter of the Cosmos?
Because those areas have the same oily effect on the water, and fire doesn't seem to do anything.

The forbidden woods definitely, you can see the icon pop up. The Altar water is just water with a low rez reflection map.

Sigh. Watchdog of the Old Lords...
I was doing good, but then he started doing a whole new move-set that threw me off.

I definitely recall someone chucking a molotov into that rainbow water in the forbidden woods and BAD things happening (the fire spreads like crazy and does huge damage), so I agree- it's oil.

havent made it to daughter of cosmos though.

So I've been through all the areas now...there's no area I actively dislike, but I'm curious as to how you guys would rank them.

For me it's (area spoilers below):

1. Forsaken Castle Cainhurst
2. Forbidden Woods/Byrgenwerth
3. Central Yharnam
4. Upper Cathedral Ward (Would be #1 if it was longer...damn that vibe)
5. Old Yharnam
6. Hemwick Charnel Lane
7. Nightmare of Mensis
8. Cathedral Ward
9. Nightmare Frontier
10. Lecture Building
11. Yahar'gul, Unseen Village
12. Chalices

I loathe
Nightmare Frontier
. Just an obnoxious area to run through.

Also when they gonna release this Bloodborne Official Gear! D:

I've had a hoot with people's shenanigans in CO-OP. My favorite was when i called for help to beat shadow of yharnam (First time in the fight). I was just being a chicken and homedude showed up and waited right outside of the fog, to up the difficulty. I beat shadow of yharnam anyway, and he IMs me on PSN and says "You have passed the trial of the forest!!"

lol nice.

Anyone know if you can stack 2 of the same rune? (exact same I mean, not different versions)

You can, if you have the slots (two slots are radial on the normal and Uncanny versions; a Lost version of a weapon has one of each type of slot). And if you have droplets, they can go in any slot. I imagine if you had three of the same droplet gems, you can put all three onto your weapon.

EDIT- My mistake, you're talking about Runes but I thought you meant Blood Gems.

Is weight a factor in this game? I mean will you move faster/jump farther if you store everything away?

Nope.

Forbidden woods takes the top spot for me. Great feel to it, flowed really well and looks amazing. The Lecture buildings were dull as fuck and I can't play the chalice dungeons....too repetitive.

Does anyone know if putting your PS4 in suspend and resume activates the 12 hour glitch? I suspend and resume from the title screen btw. Reason being
I was watching Lobos' run and saw him fight Amygdala and she ripped her arms off in the final parts of the battle, never done that against me. Leads me to wonder if she was gimped by the glitch...

Cainhurst
is great I am sure alot of people will have that near the top of their list.

I love the Cathedral area as a whole. Just think the whole thing is well done. You have the part that leads to old yarnem, the courtyard area, grand cathedrel, side area with hunters to the grand cathedral, you have the tower that leads to upper cathedral, the area with the workshop. Just so good.

If I were to attempt to draw a map of the BB world I would start with Cathedral Ward. It connects to everywhere else (Central Yarnem, Old Yarnem, Wood, Hemwich, Unseen, Upper Cathedral, and techically lecture hall (and thus Nightmare realm via the Tonsil stone) except the Nightmare of Mensis.

I can't find Eileen anywhere
(even at the Grand Cathedral which is supposed to be her final location)
. I don't remember doing any of her quests. In fact, I don't even remember meeting her. Is she just bugged ?

Are the alternative versions of weapons actually worth getting? Does a different gem slot make a difference?

One of the uncanny weapons (the saw cleaver, I think) I found replaced the crescent slot with a triangle one, which is to my benefit. I've only found crescent gems with +x% to fire/bolt attack, but I have triangle gems with +x% to physical attack, which I favor.

A
mygdala
kicking my ass in the Defiled Chalice Dungeon. Whats worse? When I fought it in the main story, I won first time round. The practically non existent margin of error is really testing me. I find it both frustrating and thrilling at the same time.

Anyone else having a problem calling strangers in to help them with the
spider
boss fight?

I keep ringing my bell (and wasting insight) right next to the boss gateway, yet no one shows up (and I'm definitely playing online *and* have called in a bunch of people before without a problem).

So I haven't had to summon anyone in my game yet. This is the first Souls game I have ever played so I am proud that I have made it to
Ebrietas
on my own.

I am sitting at work, trying to decide how to beat her. I might need some help. I really want to do this game by myself, though. It's been very fulfilling. What do you all think?

Shadow of Yharnam
DED

Where should I be off to in my quest? Continue onwards
to Byrgenwerth?
There were a bunch of routes I think in Forbidden Forest, one led back to Yharnam (
Iosefka's clinic
and the other somewhere else. There is also a route from Vicar Amelia's castle that goes somewhere, not sure where.

Also, I need more insight. I probably lost a dozen trying to summon cooperators, almost all of them didn't work. I'm at 21 currently.

You never had the
Molotov guys roast you in the oil river? Totally oil.

The forbidden woods definitely, you can see the icon pop up. The Altar water is just water with a low rez reflection map.

havent made it to daughter of cosmos though.

This is super weird because I totally tried tossing a molotov at some dudes in the river in forbidden woods multiple times thinking it was oil, and nothing happened. Huh.

yea, first phase is hard as fuck. but once you get to to second phase, it's smooth sailing.

Story wise, the first option you mentioned.

Yeah I thought that was a shader bug where the normals were getting outputted depending on the camera view myself. But in hindsight, if there's actually an oil status effect, I guess not?

Is it normal for the game's audio to kinda freeze for half a second from time to time? Cause it's happening right now and it's freaking me out.

Yup. Susped / resume has been confirmed to have the exact same effect. You need to actually close the application to avoid it.

Holy shit I thought I hated
Rom
in the story but as a chalice dungeon boss? Fuuuuuck that shit. Got damn close last time, but not close enough...

Edit : 5th time is the charm I think that was like a 90 second fight lol
