Is there any shortcut to a
mygdala? Or do I have to slog through poison water and frenzy every time I want to fight the boss?

yea, first phase is hard as fuck. but once you get to to second phase, it's smooth sailing.

100%. I've given up even bothering to farm for vials for the fight since most of the moves that come my way are still 1HKO, even at Level 110. Absolute madness this is.

Alright guys, beat the Core Chalice Dungeons.
Ptumerian Queen

Where do I get Tomb Mold 5, for the true gem farming experience to start.

Can you avoid the Easy Mode glitch just by closing the Bloodborne application, or do you need to turn off your PS4 completely?

So I haven't had to summon anyone in my game yet. This is the first Souls game I have ever played so I am proud that I have made it to
Ebrietas
on my own.

I am sitting at work, trying to decide how to beat her. I might need some help. I really want to do this game by myself, though. It's been very fulfilling. What do you all think?

Summon someone, that fight is hard even with help.

There is,
if you have your back to her doorway it will be on your left near one of the guys holding a torch. It is an elevator

This game is so amazing. I think I've played for 50 hrs since launch and I just beat the
One Reborn
. Know I plan to beat
Darkbeast paarl
, probably at level 69 it will be a peace of cake, I wish I had fought this boss earlier. I also just found out how to get to the old workshop and Cainhurst castle, plus I opened the choir. I really don't want this game to end, is too good.

Holy shit! So I was pretty sure it was going to be facing
Amelia
a million times. I took a run at her with Ludwigs Sword and was destroyed in seconds. I kept missing my Saw Blade so I went back to it and took a run at her.

This is what happened...

What the fuck?
Paarl
is a monster at low levels and
Vicar Amelia
is no slouch either. Both are way harder than
The One Reborn
or
Blood-Starved Beast
.

I say "What the fuck?" back because I easily one shotted VA whereas I spent hours on BSB.

Do it by yourself. I beat her today and it felt really rewarding.
I'm a Souls-newbie, too so I think you can do it. ;)

wow, just fought the giant boss in level 2 of a depth 3 pthu chalice and it was hard as fuck. harder than nearly every boss in the main game.

So I've been through all the areas now...there's no area I actively dislike, but I'm curious as to how you guys would rank them.

For me it's (area spoilers below):

1. Forsaken Castle Cainhurst
2. Forbidden Woods/Byrgenwerth
3. Central Yharnam
4. Upper Cathedral Ward (Would be #1 if it was longer...damn that vibe)
5. Old Yharnam
6. Hemwick Charnel Lane
7. Nightmare of Mensis
8. Cathedral Ward
9. Nightmare Frontier
10. Lecture Building
11. Yahar'gul, Unseen Village
12. Chalices

Ooh, ranking areas. I agree with many of yours:
1. Forsaken Castle Cainhurst
2. Upper Cathedral Ward
3. Forbidden Woods/Byrgenwerth
4. Hemwick Charnel Lane
5. Lecture Building
6. Yahar'gul, Unseen Village (getting thrown in jail here was pretty amazing)
7. Central Yharnam
8. Old Yharnam
9. Cathedral Ward
10. Nightmare of Mensis
11. Nightmare Frontier
12. Chalices

Paarl
can be a monster, but it's very easy to beat him at relatively low levels (beat him at 38) if you
manage to stun him so the electricity dissipates. Just keep close to him so he never has a chance to recharge and the fight's yours in probably less than 3 minutes
.

VA is also not as difficult as people seem to think, you just have to
remember to get behind her, which isn't difficult if you do so when she lunges at you, and use a fully charged R2 at her legs to drop her for a visceral attack
.

I think most people need to keep more of a watch on their stamina bar, and just relax a little bit more in the fights.

Yeah no matter what your level it's a pain the ass. Pretty much have to hit it once then get the hell away from that insta-kill. The other bosses in that dungeon aren't as tedious.

Question about new game +. Are the enemies and bosses in the chalice dungeons made harder? It seems like they are the same but I'm not sure. I accidentally beat the game before finishing all of them and wanted to go back and do that before properly starting a new game + eventually.

My bone marrow ash won't replenish back to 10 upon dying or going to the hunters dream. It's stuck at 3 on the hud. I have 63 in my inventory anyone know what is up with this?

Chalice Dungeons function separately from the main game, so nope.

You can do it! It took me 20-30 tries but I always felt like I was learning and making progress the whole time. If you've made it this far doing it solo, it's worth keeping at it.

Yeah, he's pretty ridic. The funny part? The two other bosses of pthu depth 3 after it are a cake walk in comparison.
