Use the pillars to your advantage. You can just stand there and the death from above is stopped by the architecture.

People say the Ludvig's is the bomb more so, but I just don't see it. Axe is faster, hits more, and has a fantastic combo from 1 hand to go into 2 hand with R1 L1 R1.

I started out on my first character with axe but got to reliant on it, especially the R2 and then just knock the enemy down rinse and repeat....the Blade of Mercy can spam r1 in dual mode, but it has more varied attacks and I am thankful I started over. I only use d the axe as a back up on early bosses when the Blade was underleveled.

. He wasn't so bad. Took me 4 tries. The hype was strong going into him. Then again, I couldn't beat
Vicar
on my own, so, just like Souls, some bosses just have your number and make you bend over.

I just wish there wasnt the "memory leak" gate...who did what legit or is there even a leak at all and the people that are mashing bosses are just going yolo like the developers intended and the bosses dont have a chance to do all their attacks cuase you arent letting them??? who knows.?!?!?!?\

bhorrent Beast
is legit cheap. He's super fast, seems to have infinite stamina, his range on seemingly low-range attacks and his tracking is ridiculous. And his AOE slam have ridiculous range too. I don't mind a boss that punishes healing, but the rest is just BS.

Yes I know he can be poisoned, but that's not of much help when his attacks are so hard to dodge anyway.

boss. Now I'm just running around farming. I'm level 60 something, but these areas are killing me more than any part of the game has.
 
So I finally reached and beat
Rom
on my third attempt, and I was surprised at how easy it was for me. I don't know if it was because maybe I was significantly OP (Lv 73, and already beat
Martyr Logarius
and
Amygdala
)

The guy gives you an incredibly wide berth to breath, which, compared to the other bosses, made it feel much easier to calculate my actions. I uploaded to youtube if anyone wants to see.
 
Damn it all. Does someone want to help me beat BLBin the Lower Pthumerian chalice dungeon? I almost got him once but it felt cheap and every other time I just get annihilated. Level 76.

I got +8 after running around with my head cut off in the Unseen village...those bone creatures thatlook like mini one reborns have dropped chunks...lots of twins though but always get something.

Take your time, use the pillars for cover and clear out the minions first, unless you have a ton of health and a charge weapon that deals out damage like a truck.

Nothing about him is cheap, everything is avoidable with a little practice. He's probably the least cheap of any boss. No random instant kill attacks, just a consistently challenging fight until learned properly.

I mean his range is absurd. Like his punch, it has absurd phantom range, and I don't like how his stamina is nearly infinite. A lot of his combos stunlock too.

Stay near him and dodge towards him, not away or to the side. At most he can hit you twice before you can dodge away. If you stay near him and dodge towards him he will whiff a lot.
 
Has someone crossed the voice actor list of BB with The evil within? Vicar Amelia's nightmarish shrieks sound so much like the Spider lady boss in TEW that I wonder if it's the same lady :p
 
Yo fuck big E. Still the only boss I haven't beaten and I'm about to finish my 2nd playthrough. Got her down to a tiny bit and frenzied :'(

For the boss fights I really like yes, helps me focus and curbs the late fight greed instinct when you see there's like a couple hits left on the health bar.

Edit : ugh I can't do that sidestep you do in the beginning lol. Get one hit killed every time.

His 2 technically 3 long range attacks are 1hit kills for me too, but they are super easy to dodge if you get the rhythm down, I bet you're dodging too early on the straight and you're either going too early or too far forward on the hook and getting nailed by the hitbox on his knee. Watch how far away his hand his from is side when he readies it, that will tell you if it's the straight or the hook, and for getting the timing down look at when he flexes his fingers, he throws the hit later than you think he will, eventually you can dodge it without even looking at it, like near the end of the fight. Also, once he's in rage mode if you haven't been fucking up his left leg the hook turns into a two stage lunge, so watch for that.
 
hmm unseen village seems the best for bloodchunk farming. Tried upper cath ward and all i got were blood stone shards and twin shards. lol

Only have one eye rune tho

I've tried that but am too bad at resource management lol. Anyway I finally beat BLB yay. Probably killed me more than any other boss in the game.

Yeah. I notice it too. People kept on saying upper carb, but all I ever got were bss and ts with item discovery of 274 . At least with unseen village, I always get either ts or chunks.
 
So, I got invaded as soon as I entered
Mensis due to the Bell Ringer
and I straight up one-shotted the dude with a +6 Cannon and a Bone Marrow Ash O_O

This was my first PVP experience as well... I'm just gonna do that every time in PVP lol.

Just finished my first run through the game! Favorite From game by far, and totally glad I have a PS4 for this. Can't believe I was going to hold off on buying it at launch!

Will start up New Game+ or do some Chalices on Monday, but not sure how long I'll be back at it once Mortal Kombat X hits.
 
So I have the three cords and the path to the final boss is open. But I'm just leveling for NG+, lol. I wonder how high one should level in NG to have a strong advantage in NG+?

The hype is too much for my body

I used half my potions on its last 30%

It had one hit left and when I downed my last vial. Shit was too epic

UGH So I just found out about the AI glitch that makes Bloodborne bosses go easy mode and it seems I just played through NG and NG+ on motherfucking easy mode because I always suspended the game instead of completely turning the PS4 off. Sad thing is I spent my whole uni break playing. Was wondering why I was having so little trouble with all of the damn bosses
Martyr L did nothing but swing his scythe all the time, there was a very noticeable lack of a "phase 2" for MWN and Ebrietas
and I'm sure there's more that I didn't notice because of my goddamn ego attributing the lack of challenge to skill.

Guess it's time for a new character. Might as well I guess. More excuse to play. Still salty though.

You can actually interrupt the
Phase 2 for bosses like Logarius and MWN by backstabbing
. So at least one of those might have been skill :p
