Church set is the best overall armor in the game, I've been saying this foreverWear, it helps a lot.the church set
killed it on first try, level 100. Try not to lock on and hit it's legs, maybe that helps.

It's all about #FashionBorne, baby. That's why I rockCrown and the Knight's Set. I look so elegant.Logarius'
So I've been through all the areas now...there's no area I actively dislike, but I'm curious as to how you guys would rank them.
For me it's (area spoilers below):
1. Forsaken Castle Cainhurst
2. Forbidden Woods/Byrgenwerth
3. Central Yharnam
4. Upper Cathedral Ward (Would be #1 if it was longer...damn that vibe)
5. Old Yharnam
6. Hemwick Charnel Lane
7. Nightmare of Mensis
8. Cathedral Ward
9. Nightmare Frontier
10. Lecture Building
11. Yahar'gul, Unseen Village
12. Chalices
What weapon?
First Defiled dungeon boss down.. don't imagine the second one will be as easy.
To each his own, but I'm already close to 200 hours, & I haven't even finished the main chalice dungeons, let alone the community made ones. & the PvP is finally fun after they got rid of the lagstab from the previous games. The bloodgems also add far more variety than just re-skinned weapons that were available in the previous games.
It seems that the people that are saying Bloodborne has no replay value haven't gone deep into the game at all, Bloodborne doesn't reskin weapons for you & call it variety, it gives you blood gems that allow you to make each weapon the way you want it, the replayablity in Bloodborne is far more "hidden" & deep within the game than the previous games. Instead of giving you 7 sword with slightly different textures, it gives you one with 3 customization slots that allow you to make that sword have more functions than just 7 reskinned swords would usually do.
You need to kill Vicar Amelia to progress. She was one of my toughest fights in the entire game, so I did option 3 first, which gained me some levels and made the VA fight a little easier. You're very capable of killing her at your level though. Also, perhaps you can co-op VA if she's pissing you off.Ok, need some GAF guidance. I have a few potential options as to what to do and where to go, what should I attempt next?
I'm level 33, with +4 axe and +4 Ludwigs as my main weapons, wearing a mixture of Gasgoine's Garb and charred hunter stuff.
Option 1
Try and kill Vicar Amelia
Option 2
Try and kill Dark Beast Paarl
Option 3
Head off on the path to the left of Vicar Amelia entrance, through all that grass and cave which leads to a woodland full of gun guys and see what occurs. Although large parts of me don't want to do that until I've done Vicar.
Option 4
Persevere with the Undead Giant boss in Level 1 of the first chalice dungeon. He should be easy I know, but for some reason he keeps killing me. Will there be anything worth having in there to assist with my story quest?
Option 5
None of the above, you're too low level to achieve anything, wander around and kill some dudes and buff up a bit.
Thanks

still no sales numbers for BB?
Physical resist isn't the best, but the other resistances can't be matched by any other armor set. Remember, I'm saying overall, not best for this or best for that.I dunno it's got kind of disappointing physical resist. I think the Hunter Garb and Charred Hunter Garb are overall best.
Do we have the numbers for DkS and 2?JPN:
Week 1: Bloodborne (PS4) 152,567
Week 2: Bloodborne (PS4) 22,610 (175,177)
Thats all we have at this point.
Blood gems add nothing more than physical 21+% more damage 3 times. They are boring. Half the weapons in Bloodborne just plain suck, the other half are all right. There's no reason I should have been stuck with the Threaded Cane almost the entire game because there was such a lack of variety in weapons. This re-skin weapon argument is an exaggeration and an easy excuse. Hell, even Bloodborne has it, half the guns are basically the same thing or pointless to use, and then there are literally the same weapons with a different gem slot that no one is going to waste their time upgrading by grinding 16 chunks and a blood rock for.
The only replayability in this game are Chalice Dungeons, and they made a great effort preventing anyone from having any cooperative fun within them with bad design decisions and netcode the likes of Netherrealm Studios. There's also no reason to ever do Chalice Dungeons after you finish the final one because the rewards are pointless or non-existent.

Uhh yeah.... sooo.....What the fuck is up with Bloodletting Beast in the Chalice Dungeon? I'm level 120 with 1500 health and it takes me down to a sliver of health in a single hit. Really?
- Slow poison bloodgems.
- Rapid poison bloodgems.
- Fire bloodgems.
- Bolt bloodgems.
- Vs kin damage increase (useful against.aliens
- vs beasts increase.
- health regen, useful for chikage builds.
- arcane gems, essential for arcane builds
Those are just off the top of my head, & none of them are useless, the poison bloodgems are great for PvP, just because you didn't use them doesn't mean they don't provide variety, it just means you didn't use them.
& not a single weapon "plain sucks", there is a viable build for almost every single weapon in the game. I didn't do a bloodtinge build yet so I can't comment on the guns from experience.
Again, what root dungeons are worth it ?
I kinda get the feeling it is hard but not rewarding at the moment.
Depth 5 dungeons can have Blood Rocks. That's about it.
I am mainly searching for the cursed bloodgems with like 20 % atk up and 3 % stamina cost up/ or lower weapon durability.

Here's what I've done so far)
- Cleric Beast
- Gascoigne
- Vicar Amelia
- Witchy
- BSB
- explored lots of the unseen city, but didn't find anything except the way back
Anyone care to give me a bit of guidance? I'm not sure where to go next.
All of those gems are useless and no one uses them. I've done a lot of PvP and no one uses those. Physical gems outperform all of those with some exceptions that add both physical and bolt/arcane/fire. Arcane builds? You mean like using a weapon that has some arcane scaling on top of physical? Because trying to use those arcane items will get you bopped like. No one is going to be caught dead using health regen gems over high physical on a Chikage.Micolash
Rifle Spear, Reiterpallasch, Saw Spear, Stake Driver, I've never seen anyone use these, and for good reason, they just blow. Tonitrus is useful, but boring. I kinda like the wheel but it's not really that clever or unique.

Ha, I just forced that Bastard into a corner and mashed R1. Never had time to coat the sword with fire. Tried the animation all the time but she failed due to my mashing. Good stuff!Im ashamed to say i had the most trouble with that bloody witch lol
