Got to ep.4 last night. That ending...whew...

I just marathoned The Blacklist S1 since arrow and flash are on hiatus. This was great transition...the choreography in ep.3 was immaculate...

I wish.

The Hawkeye in this marvel universe is not strong with the bro-force.

Got through episodes 9 and 10 with my buddy. 9 was pretty fucking great and the
cuts to the battle in the future
worked in its favor.

10
was a pretty slow episode and honestly while it wasn't bad I'd say it's probably the weakest of the season. I don't mind seeing scenes of how Foggy and Matt became friends and glimpses at how they ended up where they currently are, but over-all the episode was really slow and in my comfy couch I was getting sleepy
.

So yeah every show/season of a show has an episode I'm not crazy about, especially the really consistent shows. 10 was it for me.

I forget the episode number but
Little Fisk's killing of his father was really brutal.

There's also <episode 7 spoilers, episode 9 spoilers>

Stick chopping off that dude's hand in episode 7, they show that shit in its full glory. There's also Daredevil getting dragged by the guts with a blade.

Also (episode 6)
the flare cauterization was super fucked up.

That's true, not super gory though.

Tooootally forgot about the first thing, second thing not much was shown so I didn't think of it.

Damn, this show WAS brutal.

Man some of this dialogue....I guess it's too much to expect from a comic book tv show to not just have characters say their intentions in the most obvious way all the time

Glad to see read such overwhelmingly positive impressions. Quick question for those versed with DeKnight's earlier show Spartacus. Is Daredevil as good as Spartacus? More specifically Spartacus' final season War of the Damned? I only just learned that DeKnight is the showrunner for this and that has me intrigued. Spartacus was one of the best shows I've ever seen and I miss it dearly. Is Daredevil on par with Spartacus? Or rather Spartacus' final season?

So tempted to binge watch this and if the show is anywhere near the quality of War of the Damned I think that would push me over the edge.

Daredevil is pretty good, but it's nowhere near as good as Spartacus. (I've only seen the first 8 episode of Daredevil so far though)

Agreed, nowhere near as good.

The writing is far superior, as are most things. Daredevil beats Spartacus in cinematography, realistic gore/violence and lighting (counting that separate).

Mentioned a comparison in the previous page, I don't understand how with more time to work with there is less character work achieved with the focus on only a few characters per episode. Spartacus juggled so many characters and they were all rich, with plot threads, twists and turns as well as growth for their character. This just seems stuck in mud and barely moves forward.

Still really enjoying it, just came in expecting that high level show and doesn't quite get there so far for me.

Man some of these action scenes are awesome. Episode 7 was pretty great. Can't believe I've already killed half the season already. Although discussion about the ending of ep 7:
Are we going to find out who Stick was talking to? Or is that a possible season 2 thread? And what was Black Sky supposed to be? Inhuman? Hulk-type thing?

From what I heard after light digging

could find out more about this mystiqual stuff with the iron fist show

Just finished it.

Wow.

Stunning. The best thing the MCU has done to date. Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, the whole cast, just killed it. The finale was fantastic.
The Red Suit looked a shit ton better in motion than I thought it would.

At first I was a bit disappointed by the finale, mainly because
I wanted to see Matt take on a group in his new suit
but on second watch, I liked it more.

I really wanted to see
him take down all those armored guys with assault rifles in a long brawl before the Kingpin moment.
Even so, that final bit was still memorable and amazing.

I wanted to see some full suit parkouring along roof tops. Hope he gets his zipline next season.

Matt kickedthe shit out of Fisk yet Fisk was somehow more enraged and scary in that fight than any other. Probably because Vanessa was waiting.
I was expecting
the lights to go out and him to fight all those guys at the building when Fisk switched vehicles after the highway breakout

Just finished episode 4 and am completely blown away so far. The production values are insane, everything is beautifully shot and the fight sequences put everything in the movies to shame. Lots of nice nods to the comic too, it put a big smile on my face when
Turk
showed up.

Though I do think it feels a bit weird having the show set in the MCU when it's such a huge departure in tone... there's something slightly jarring about the idea that
Wilson Fisk is violently crushing heads
whilst, simultaneously, RDJ's Tony Stark is out quipping and shooting lasers somewhere and Rocket Racoon is sat on a spaceship, tinkering with a gun.

I thought this would happen too. I was pumped.

I'm glad this can happen, though, so that the MCU is like the comics: something for everyone, adults and teens/kids alike.

I think it was more jarring going from Winter Soldier to Guardians. But the cool thing about the MCU and Marvel in general is that all those elements can fit. Wait till we got demons and sorcerers and mystical martial arts in the same universe

Doc Strange is going to be bananas.

Man, this show, I thought I was going to just watch an episode a week, but I'm already on episode 5. And dat ending for episode 4 was insane.

I really need to read the comics, I know very little. This fisk guy is the
Kingpin
