oh fuck yes!!

Oh yeah, what prize do I get for getting the "true" ending?
I heard it's a weapon of some sorts and I didn't see it in my inventory

That weapon can be obtained from having to fight the last boss(not the boss of the true ending) If you lose to the boss or use Bold Hunter's Mark to warp to the doll and you check the shop you'll see that weapon there.

That area completely killed my ego after dominating Rom. Nightmare frontier aint much better either.

Did you activate the elevator at the beginning? If yes, take it down, drop off to a platform before it gets to the bottom, take the circle teleport, run straight, down the ladder and you should be near the boss.

Finished the last 2 endings today. So fucking good!!! Now, I'm starting NG and I have 230k souls...what do I have to do so I don't lose them all? I need to level up but the doll doesn't work,

You don't need to face a boss.
Just head down to the sewer using the shortcut right after the street mob.
Down where the rats are there's a Madman's Knowledge. Use that and the doll becomes active.

Anyone want to help me fight E
brietas
. Don't feel like soloing.
I've already rang the bell! Level 87, Password: gafhelp

Will the guide be worth it? Most, all?, of the info is freely available, right? Does the game open up after FG? Seems really linear so far.

Thinking the same , unless guide contains some shocking information it seems most of it has been covered on threads like this and lore ones.

Don't know if it's good or bad news, but
first or second version? If second congrats. If not, prepare for the pain coming up.
First. :-( I think. At end of ailing loran chalice 3rd layer.

Is the second round on the way to the queen or somewhere else? I'm just trying to push for the platinum. If it's going to be a huge pain I'll stop as these chalice dungeons pretty much suck with the lackluster and repetitive environments and repeating bosses.

Has A PVP meta level really been established? I was thining with my build I'm gonna be LVL 125 with 50 Vit 5O skill and 40 End with about 18 arcane. Gaf will that be to high for PVP meta?

Have a question about Dungeon Chalice co-op.

Is it possible to use the Short Ritual Root Chalice (first tombstone item) to specifically search for your friend (using the same Network password, and they're beckoning), or do you each have to generate the same dungeon locally using the same glyph code, then use the bells?

I want to help a friend, but generating dungeons is expensive on mats.

So I have 8 (including the Platinum) trophies left to be done with this game. Some of these make no sense. For the weapons, do I have to buy all of them right now or can I horde Echoes in NG+ and just buy all of them? Also, how do you go about saving the game so you can get
the different endings
? Do I have to play the game each time doing something different? Just trying to get my trophies together so I can knock them out and finish the game for good. Thanks.

The Watchdog in the defiled chalice dungeon is pissing me off. I can get him to half health, but he can one shot me with a few of his attacks. My Vitality is at 40, and using runes, my HP is at over 1500 (halved in the dungeon of course).

I have a few more tactics in going to try, but he's really frustrating me. It's not even a hard fight. It's the halved HP that's annoying.

When you beat the wet nurse, copy your save to a USB stick once you're at the hunter's dream. Make sure you have all the umbilical cords

and do you have all the badges?

You can upload your save to a USB drive (spoiler on when to do so)
preferably before talking to Gerhman
, then once you finish the game, use the USB save and repeat.

Always be strafing! The tell for the charge is easy to spot, and if you are strafing before hitting circle to dodge, it'll be easier for him to miss you.

edit- sorry for double post

Seeing how matchmaking for pvp sucks right now at 125 finding someone will be a big hassle. I have a 110 that has big trouble finding others and a 90 that has a bit of an easier time.

The meta people are proposing ranges from 90-110 any higher and builds will be able to do every and all things because of the fewer leveling stats.

If you want much more consistent pvp stay around 60-80 in late game areas.

You don't really have to do the save scum strategy to get all three endings. If you only do required bosses, NG+ (and ++) don't take very long at all.

At first it might seem like it will be tough, but the scaling is weird. The enemies at the start of the game are scaled up to be equivalent to the enemies at the end of a New Game, but the enemies at the end of NG+ don't actually seem much stronger than they were in NG. I did NG++ in about 4 hours, and wasn't even doing it speedrun style.

Save scum method is still the easiestand quickest. I did it all in about an hour.

Other than the Beast Claw, I have all the badges for all the weapons. I just haven't actually bought them yet.

Can any old USB stick work or does it have to be empty? Also when I copy it from the PS4, how do I make sure to get it to work when I go back in? Sorry for asking dumb questions. It's my first time doing anything like this.

Just so I don't miss anything. How many NPC side quests are there in Central Yarnham?
I've sent 2 people to Oedon Chapel and I got the red brooch for the little girl. Anything else I am missing?

As long as the USB stick is formatted in FAT or exFAT, you're good to go. Official documentation on saves:

If you do only required quests sure, but there's tons of optional content, areas and bosses.

Compared to Dark Souls it still is.

Required areas are:
Central Yarnham/FG
Cathedral Ward/VA
Forbidden Woods/SoY
Byrgenwerth/Rom
Yar'Ghul Unseen Village/OR
Nightmare of Mensis/Mico/MWN

Some of those are really short too.

Of course most players will end up doing some of the optional areas with only three areas that have a big chance of players missing
(Nightmare Frontier, Upper CW, and Castle Cainhurst).
All three of those being somewhat short areas.

This is mainly based on the sole campaign. For reference, it took me around 25 hours to beat the campaign of BB with the only thing that I didn't do was defeat E,DoC and any of the Chalices. 25 hours is how much I got out of Dark Souls 2 in my second playthrough after knowing all the locations and routes (I can't remember how long was my first playthrough but it was in the 50+ area).

The chalices probably add an extra 20+ hours. However, imo 20+ hours of the same looking dungeons isn't great a feature of the game.

It is actually possible to skip
Central Yharnam and Cathedral Ward
and go straight to
Forbidden Woods
. There was a video on how to do it a page or two back.

Thanks for the input. I was readng somewhere that it wuld be probably around 10-125 but trusted the gaffers more

Mine happened too late :( Death screen and "fine" This game hates me, but I love it. Dat abusive relationship.

Sorry to hear that, mate. This one was perfectly timed 'cause it was looking touch-and-go. I try to rate as many notes as I can since you never know what position the author might be in out there. :-)

Anyone want to help me with BSB in the ailing loran challice? I'm lvl 100 and i've already rang my bell.

I swear its using the stupid grab attack more than I've ever encountered.

Alright, finally about to end this game. For my save scum siblings, do I go through the end and finish the game and then delete the save data on the PS4? Then upload the data from the USB back to the PS4 and do another ending?
