Any tactics/tips/hints for
Shadow of Yharnam? I managed to kill the two fire guys on first try but once I did that the last one with the weird scythe thing starting spawning those worms which absolutely destroyed me

Kill the one with the flame thrower thing last, and then get close up in his face. He won't be able to summon the snakes, or do anything really, when you stunlock him. Manage your stamina and you'll do fine.

Stay really close to the last guy and he won't summon the big snakes. The aggressive guy without the fire attacks predictably and has a very generous parry window, so rip his guts out.

Kill the sword guys first, leave the projectile guy for last. Use the pillar to keep the three separated. The sword guys are very easy to parry. Bolt paper will increase your damage a lot.

I did this on the first try,
I understand many had a hard time -- maybe that's because I used the hunter's axe and they didn't. I didn't find them that hard, just kept away from their attacks and kept using spin2win tactics. was actually pretty easy this way.

Thanks will try this. Should be able to do it in a few more tries considering how close I got first time. :) My Threaded Cane was taking a fair chunk of health, some bolt paper will definitely help. Didn't think of that either!

Won easily with the cane too, these guys never gave me trouble.

why yes, fight in the middle to make the fight more fun/challenging! :p

take them in order of aggressiveness and then BE HAIR ON THAT LAST GUY'S ASS

Also, does E
brietas
have any attacks that hit behind her? It felt weird how I was able to stay there and avoid pretty much everything. I didn't have the memory leak bug happening.

I've barely touched the chalices and I'm on Shadow of Yharnam :s Should probably crack on with them. I did two bosses on the first chalice thing and haven't touched it since. Probably a good way of grinding to be honest.

yeah finish the first three depths at least or you're gonna have hours of piss easy encounters to slog through

Now I have to come up with a reason to justify it :^l

She
turned the real Iosefka into one of those alien things (as evident by the fact that one of them drops her blood vial), assumed her identity and then proceeded to experiment on anyone you sent to the clinic.

Reason enough for you?

Oh my God, the L

Question about where to go next (near end game) --

I know I'm near the end of the game for a mostly blind run, so I've been checking guides to make sure I didn't miss any missables. So far, so good.

I'm currently at the end of the nightmare -- i have killed that giant eye in the abyss and gotten the 3 important things from Mergo's loft (tool, blood rock, mother string stuff).... but I haven't explored the area other than that much except to kill the bell lady.

Should I finish this area? Do i need to push my save to the cloud before killling this area's boss? i'm trying not to spoil my endings and hated looking up missables (spoiled the eye encounter) but at the same time i know i'm supposed to 'fork' for 3 endings at some point... i just don't know when.

Also, I've done first 3 chalices. Should i go back and do those for awhile or get my endings?

--------

Also, can someone explain the tools? are they one use (consumable) or spammable? are they any good? i haven't used much inventory items.

And are there drawbacks to installing that 4th rune?

game tells you how often you can use stuff.

and just keep playing.
get what ever ending you get and then go for the others in a new playthrough.

Question about late game boss fight M
icolash. Is he supposed to be an easy fight? Or is it glitched for me again? I wasn't able to finish the fight because I had to leave for work, but I easily got him to <33%. He just stood there and absorbed my attacks. wtf

I beat him last night. He only had 1 attack. And just ran all the time.easy as piss. 2 handed ludwig stops him doing anything. It's bigger then him so Im not surprised. Easiest boss in the game even easier then the witches

I finished the game yesterday. Got the 3 umbilical ending. Was underwhelmed. But it's souls. NG+ is a wee bit harder because all the enemies have more HP. Can't really be bothered to go through it again I think.

Impressions of the game: Bloodborne plays really great. There are some really cool ideas in it for pvp and co-oping, but sadly, they work like shit. I'd like to co-op through my NG+ experience, but it just never finds folks to play with. Same goes for invading, it's so rare that it actually works that I forget about it.

Comparing it to Demons and Dark Souls, it's more of a comparison to Dark Souls where both lose their momentum towards the end of the game. Demon's was a bit shorter, but each area was so unique that as a player you always want to venture forward. And instead of lengthening the replayability the chalices dampen the momentum of Bloodborne, for me. They're a chore to go through because they're quite easy at first, then they're a chore to go through because they're just busting your balls. Luckily they're completely optional, but I still wanted to try them, and sadly they killed a bit of momentum of me.

Took me about 40 hours to finish first run, blind mostly, with a few questions to fellow players or here on GAF. I'm not going to rate it better or worse than the Souls games, because they're all great. Will definitely get DLC if it comes out, and will definitely keep checking back when it gets patched. But for now; thanks From, it was a good experience, but I'll get back to other stuff now.

felt the same way, then I killed/finished every optional boss and area that I've missed, read more about the lore, and decided that this is as good as it gets and I couldn't ask for anything more.

except more PVP

and more covenants

and more Bloodborne/DLC

but that's about it, hype justified, From's God status confirmed yet again. PRAISE THE MOON

The difficulty ramps up really fast though. Most of the chalices are meant to be played at the end game.

I've been helping people a bunch past couple of days and I get summoned in less than a minute. Don't know fast it is to summon someone though. Invading seemed to took a hit. Haven't tried it at all but I got only invaded in two areas.

If you're not going to answer the question I asked, then why bother? I am a father with a little one and have about 45 minutes a day to devote to Bloodborne. I'm probably on ng++++ in demon's but simply don't have time like that anymore, so would actually appreciate an actual answer. As for the tools, I've read the description and perhaps I'm blind, none of them seem to indicate if they are one use or not. Same with lots of other items, actually, like
Iosefka's Blood Vial - it says it restores a large amount of health, but doesn't indicate if it's one use. part of me assumes it is one use, but that seems silly... there's never a time i'd use a unique (from what i can tell) one-use item just to gain health.

and what was your initial question?
or do you want to relaod your savefile to all endings, without replaying the game?

and what keeps you from spending 45 minutes a day for a few days more to play through the games again?

I think that's about it over there, yes! The only thing you have left is the Nightmare's boss and the last boss, but just in case you missed a few (oh believe me, it might be a FEW) optional areas, yeah, make a duplicate save!

you can do the Chalice dungeons even in NG+, BUT make sure you get the Red Jelly in the Library before you finish the game! It's in a chest next to the exit IIRC, you'll need that to create the very last Chalice

how many umbilical cords do you have so far?

Is there a boss easier than
The Witches?.

They didnt attack only had to run to the glows hit them a bit, keep running evading the minions. Only had to avoid 2 shots on the second stage but was easy, make it on my first attemp without being hit, maybe I was overleveled, I was at 44 with holy sword +6.

Celestial Emissary much easier imo. smaller playground against the witches and it's possible to get stuck in a corner. Not so much in the open flower field and boss goes down super quick.

I've been playing the game offline this entire time as a blind run. I plan on starting a New Game+ and playing online, though in curious as to what awaits me.

Oh, make sure you write a lot of notes. Having your life suddenly refill to max with a fine rating is a great feeling ;o
My health was refilled to max during the final boss fight!

you don't need to upload your save yet

after mergo's wet nurse the final boss opens up, at that point you can upload your save, get as many of the endings as you want, and then either do the chalice stuff for trophies or go into ng+ and do the chalice stuff later

I should make a new Bloodborne character called Spinzaku and have him use the Hunter's Axe through the entire game. XD

Yeah I forgot about them till ng+
That poor dog got two canon shotted.

Is weapon durability cumulative? What I mean is, if I put a gem upgrade on one of my guns that has a hit in weapon durability, does that stat affect only the gun that has the gem, or is it cumulative for all weapons I hold.

I am asking because my main sword is already filled with weapon durability negative stats due to those +26.3 phy attack gems. And its pretty much on the edge right now.

PS: Also, are guns durability even possible to go down? I am level 190 and I still havent seen ever any gun needing repairs... which is the actual reason that I find it weird that a bloodinge gem has weapon durability stat whatsoever.

you can't do coop anymore... I wanted to farm to buy the armor I'm missing :'(

chalice dungeons get you a ton of souls pretty quickly. i can't remember, but i think i was getting hundreds of thousands in Ailing Loran and lower within minutes

Layer 1 and 2 dungeons are pretty easy and can be done as soon as you have the material. But I woulnd't want to set foot in a layer 4 or 5 until much much later..

Am I missing something here? I have done coop after
Wet Nurse
. You can easily farm tons of echoes after that boss though.
Nightmare of Mensis
grants you over 50k with moon runes equipped fast.

Thats what I thought as well, but the fact that guns never need repairs and yet a gun gem has a WPN durability stat effect makes me wonder...

True, In late game chalice dungeons you get like 20,000-30,000 blood echoes for killing 1 enemy. A strong enemy, but really... within 5 mins you get like 300,000 or so... echoes supply is really a non issue anymore.

So. Fashion Souls (Fashion Born?)

Gascoigne's Cap
Charred Hunter Garb
